Can I change my 208 2015’s multimedia central (the module you removed in the video) to one of a newer model, say 2016’s multimedia central? The ideia is to have both CarPlay and rear camera support in a 2015 model (which does not have these features, but the 2016 model has) without using third-party options. I asked my authorized technician and he said the newer version is not compatible with the digital parts of the car. I don’t know if he really got what I meant by “new version”, since I was not talking about the 2018 model (which is completely touchscreen and has a new design), but talking about only one version newer with only these two features (CarPlay + camera) extras. What do you think? Have you done it before (is it exactly what you are doing in this video)? Will it work?
