      Football League crowds are bigger now than they were then (though not the FA Cup)

    It's NOTTINGHAM NOTTM Forest There is no team called Notts Forest

      Have you heard of Notts County then you would know why they don't like being called that the short version is Nottm pronounced Notnum I think.

      @@antonyhobbs1144 you are correct it's Nottingham Forest. Notts County is Notts and don't refer Notts just as County either. as for why pathe did this probably didn't know

      The old Tooting & Mitcham pitch was in Sandy Lane, Mitcham - just along from Gorringe primary school. As a boy back in the late 1960s I used to go there with my mate and his dad. Great memories - including another FA cup run in the early 1970s that saw Tooting play first division Crystal Palace at the same Sandy Lane ground. We lost that one 2-1, after going ahead in the first half with a goal scored by Stevie Grubb (amazing how these names stick in your memory). Tooting & Mitcham now play at The Hub in Bishopsford Road at the southern end of Mitcham.

      @@KarlSchneidertube very good memories! I'm actually back I'm mitcham after family passing away 😔 I know the new pitch I used to watch the older kids drive stolen cars on the fields before the stadium went up!
