I absolutely love this track as an opening piece to the game. It bathes the arena with an air of commercialized malice, and perfectly sets the tone for Ratchet's game of survival up ahead.

What's the difference between Dread Zone and Annihilation Nation? I'm asking because I'm fairly new to exploring Ratchet and Clank lore, but I remember hearing Sasha say Dread Zone was illegal, but in Annihilation Nation it seemed like that was also a combat focused sport.
DreadZone kidnaps superheroes, attaches suicide neck braces and forces them to fight to the death on inhabited, neutral worlds with unwilling participants. It does this in the Solana Galaxy, without any oversight from the Galactic President and probably the biggest crime of all, bans Gadgetron weapons and gadgets (and all but copies their designs) and the only prize is you get to live to make the next snuff film, while Gleeman Vox profits off your likeness. Annihilation Nation allows contestants to willingly sign up and fight in custom made arenas against robots with Gadgetron weapons for prizes. Really? It's just a joke for the fans that between the two bloodsports, one is slightly more "ethical". It's referencing the commentary on capitalism and the lack of value for sentient lives in a galaxy dominated by megacorps.
