If you play the C9 at the 7th fret (put the 3rd, E, 7th fret D string on the bottom) you can slide right into the Fmaj7 without changing the fingering. Slide the first finger up one fret and the other fingers up two frets - IMO much easier change. But OK, Davvy, your way works . . .
I’m only ever going to do it if it is imperative to the composition of the song. Like Terrapin and Help/Slip. There’s plenty of other guys that do that “specific solo” thing on UA-cam better than I ever could. And I also don’t want to. Haha. I think it’s more important to flex what you’re learning or what you can do. It’s about improvisation not imitation.

between the Fmaj and the Bmaj at 3:50 (minutes/seconds) there's a little travel up which you can fill with a Cmaj 7th to Dmin to Emin. And whack it straight onto the Bmin at 7th fret. This avoids the smacking of the F for too longI love this tune so much!
You are a great teacher. I take the GD ensemble class at the local rock/folk school here and I've always shrunk away when TS/LWAF shows up in the set list at the beginning of one of the 8-week sessions. This is very helpful, but PLEASE remember that when you say something is "not that hard," that's easy for you to say! Not so much for this old fart who didn't take up the guitar until I was 55 a little over a decade ago. I have to do this stuff VERY SLOWLY!!! But thank you again. Video very helpful!

My only negative thing to say is you talk for about 5 to 6 minutes before you got into the lesson but I fast forward to the lesson and was very pleased.

messed my head up watching the end. Your right Hand was small and left huge. I am working on this for a while. how can I get your TAB? No other I find is the same and at 67 my memory is shot. I can play all the parts but without it all laid out I cant play it from beginning to end without stopping
Why not make that quick jump from the 20th fret on a high E string to the 17th on the B? So much easier to do cleanly. (Towards the beginning of the solo, maybe 21 minutes in)
