I hear this song when I was 6years old and my mom was crying...about my father who was not here anymore....she kept waiting every night and put a candle...
@@econdude3811 It was special. I was right at the centre front with only one person in front of me in a standing only gig a few days before this was filmed. I always remember BC made eye contact with me when she was singing the line 'thirty three thousand light years long' when singing Vision of You, which was then the new single. BTW she had an incredibly talented bassist in this line up. He was also used on the previous tour - none of the rest of this band were.
I was there - just a few rows from the front! Tried so hard to spot myself in the audience - but can't :( (I'll keep looking). What an Incredible voice and Sensational performance. Thanks so much for posting!
my favorite live version of this song its not easy to sing this song live .. the vocals are very high and very powerful not easy to hit em but she did it and she looked like having fun doing it :) she had it all in the 90´s

Jane Wiedlin (Go-Go’s rhythm guitarist) sang the backup vocals on the studio recording of this song. I don’t think that’s Becca on backup here; looks like the keyboard player.
Perhaps musically. But emotionally it depends on your life experience. As a service member there are times where this idea of leaving the light on - asking someone to wait for you - and their existence back home is the stour source of strength is something that hits home.
@@richardrobertson1886 The thing about this song is that the metaphor--leaving a light on = someone waiting--isn't carried through the song. I looked up the verses and they have nothing to do with this metaphor. Hell, even the refrain isn't consistent! I don't know who wrote this song, but I think whoever it was took a rhyme-over-reason approach to the lyrics. If "Leave a Light On" appeals to you emotionally, fine--I don't get to tell you what to find touching. However, as a work of art, I think this song misses the mark.
I adore Belinda but i agree about this opinion. In this concert Belinda seemed not completely in herself. I prefere her recent performances of this song, she feels more what she sings
I love this song. Specially with actual live vocals. She's an amazing performer
Another great performer - so much better than today's rubbish.
My light was on for Belinda then. It still is now. :)
Your electricity bill must be painful.😅
Now with the energy crisis she needs to find her way in the dark.
I hear this song when I was 6years old and my mom was crying...about my father who was not here anymore....she kept waiting every night and put a candle...
Wow this is so sad….. 😞
80's at its finest and her guitarist- top notch.
💯
The entire band was rockin' it, would have been awesome in person
George Harrison actually provided the slide guitar solo on the studio mix.
He's good, but no one other than Mike Campbell can play a Harrison solo.

good old times when music was music, and artists were artists....
Wonderful singer and oh-so-gorgeous girl Belinda!
full great band, no autotune, sounding just like studio track - miss those days
💯
last one I watched was not live, good to see a live performance. Pretty good.

I was there too, who was the support act?
Was the audio that good live? Lol. I honestly can't remember what a concert in the early 80s and 90s sounded like anymore. This sounds great though.
definitely the best belinda, early 90s belinda. What an eternal star
She has a great voice and is an amazing performer !
A well earthed performer. That's her secret power.
Actually, it was mountains of cocaine.
I love this Woman and Song, I wish someone would leave a light on for me
Most of Belinda's songs are magical..makes you feel like you are soaring in the air free as a bird. This one's especially.😘
💯
This songs had been playing in my head, but when i grow old still cant find the title, but some how it is so amazing, now i know the title 😅
Great song, thank you for the video.
The drummer is pure dynamite!!
mark duncan Curt Bisquera, LA Studio Legend. Played with Elton John also
What a beautiful 90 summer!
But probably I was taking U final exam that time.
My ex-GF loved her songs so much.
Love you Belinda... beautiful
Beautiful song 👍❤️👍 Amazing performance 👍
love her voice
Simplemente HERMOSAAA
Belinda struck oil when she found that guitarist he’s dynamite musician
trivia: George Harrison plays slide guitar on the album recording.
stunning
This is the ultimate 80s female fronted pop rock, nothing can top this. Only We Want The Same Thing.
A pop gem!
Beautiful song 😍
the rocker girl..!
Former Beatle George Harrison on slide guitar solo made this Belinda Carlisle song a true classic
Loved it!
Belinda, you are the best forever and ever
too sick today. nice song.. have been listenig for years..
my favorite live version of this song
its not easy to sing this song live .. the vocals are very high and very powerful not easy to hit em
but she did it and she looked like having fun doing it :)
she had it all in the 90´s
god i wish i was alive for this stg
Seen her in Brighton, UK in 1990, and in Chautauqua, NY 1990
Love her music
Wow !!
1:04 She tells the band to slow down 🤣
I’d leave all my lights on for Belinda, I’d get someone else to pay the electricity bill! 😍
Very nice
Que buen rollo de canción
HER LIVE MUSIC IS EVEN BETTER THAN HER RECORDED ONES!
Hermosa
My LDL ..leave the light on - never let it extinguish - like my love it will burn forever and ever.........LOVE YOU for always xXx
Imagine if pop music was like this nowadays, live musicians, fuck, even live vocals...
No swearing 🤬
The George Harrison written guitar 🎸 rift in this song makes it!
Pretty sure that is Becca and Donna doing backing vocals. Donna hitting the highs
La mejor version George Harrinson en la guitarra es unica
Joe Satriani and Jeff Porcaro on giutar and drums :) heehehehe!!!!
Can’t believe George Harrison on lead guitar on album
тееееееееееййййййккк мааааааааааййййй хээээээееееееннндд! :-)
i missed the Orginal Harrison Solo Part
The guitarist did a good job on the solo, but George slide playing was just SO precise that it's difficult to nail.
@@RayMusicman9 I think the guitarist nailed George's solo
@@jvidalw It was note-perfect but lacked George's fluidity.

Background singer sounded like Bekka Bramlett there at the end. I thought it was here. lol
Jane Wiedlin (Go-Go’s rhythm guitarist) sang the backup vocals on the studio recording of this song. I don’t think that’s Becca on backup here; looks like the keyboard player.
It might have been Becca. She did sing backup for Belinda for a while along with Donna Deleroy
looks like she shortened the last part herself~
Asian Female Drummer..I am intrigued ( No offence meant, just curious)...
English Exelent 100% otodidak
間奏のギターはやっぱりジョージハリスンの方が味があるわ
2:16 A guitarist mistake?
Don't think I can hear it.. hm
He started to play an instrumental part that really starts at 2:29. In 2:18 Belinda signals that her hand (I think).
I think Belinda sounds pretty good here, but, wow, this song is vapid.

Great performance except the band is playing too fast!
She is so beautiful, I don't understand why she dressed like a 85 year old granny.
you dick
So people can focus on her singing.
@@muhdshukriabdhamid7043 Does she sing?
@@maxpower252 It seems so in the video. Nowadays not so much.
Tempo too fast, tempo is inconsistent, voice sounds strained and has no soul.
Sorry, your primetime has passed.
7367Network she had just gotten back into coke so no surprise her voice sounds strained
7367Network That is an interesting " overview"!
You're probably more familiar with iTunes, lip synced and autotuned live vocals. Real live music's not for everyone.
I adore Belinda but i agree about this opinion. In this concert Belinda seemed not completely in herself. I prefere her recent performances of this song, she feels more what she sings
She had a cold on this day and they ask her to cancel the show, but she declined..as she didn’t wanted to disappoint her fans..
