This hero talent tree is SO much more fun than it looks!! I honestly wasn't that hyped to play it, but theres something so fun about having so many rescuing heals! THIS IS HOW HEALING SHOULD BE!!!

The advice I can give you, since I am a main holy priest, is to press the prayer of mending at all times. For example, if you are moving between packs and the spell is available: press it. It is a bit tricky at first, but once you get the hang of it, it really makes a difference in the overall healing at the end of the key.
However, I think the 'full healing no dmg' playsytyle is great for those who are starting to approach healing for the first time. It is useless to strive or force oneself to do dps when one does not yet have total confidence in healing. If a dps dies because the healer is dpsing, it is a loss on all fronts. When you're not completely sure or you're facing a new dungeon that you don't know yet, better to concentrate more on healing and keep everyone at 100% HP. Then, once you have acquired the right dexterity and knowledge of the dungeon, you can start to push the damage more even if you don't keep everyone full-life, as long as they don't die.
And to answer all those who say 'if you don't do dps you don't get invited into the key', it's false. Sure, doing literally 0 is not good because there are occasions where even with a global or two you can do a fair amount of damage (especially from holy priest), but a healer who doesn't keep his party alive is a useless healer, even if he's doing the highest dps in the world.

Honestly, tried Oracle on beta (disc only so far) and it was really fun! It does suck having to keep track of each buff (most likely, needing to create a custom WA for easy tracking), but it's honestly not bad at all. Lots of CD reduction, helps a little with Holy's main prob in M+ - AOE healing (utilizing the overhealing charge and spread of prayer of mending).
Though I can't imagine how much more damage output we're going to be able to do with Oracle Talent Tree.
Holy priest right now, on live, has the highest damage output of any healer by a substantial margin - as long as you cast - 1) Holy Fire, 2) Divine Word, Holy Word: Chastise, 3) holy fire 2 different targets, 4) Apotheosis, 5) Holy Word: Chasise, 6) Spread holy fire to different targets, 6) Holy Nova couple times, so that your Chastise Resets, and repeat, 7) Shadow Word: Death when possible. Pair this with your shadow fiend and PI too.
It's a lot of combos, but if done right, you'll be on par with dps and out dps most tanks.
I sit around 350-400k sustained aoe during cooldowns and about 150-180k outside of cooldowns with trash - 125-180k single target on bosses depending on how much healing needs to go out - these are usually 7-10 keys though, so nothing crazy high.
I can't imagine having even further reduced cooldowns on Apotheosis, DIvine Word, and Chastise - damage for holy priest looks fat in the war within, however,. from an AOE healing perspective, slightly better than live. Unless we look at Archon and its Halos, that seems to be an great choice overall, less min/maxing and helps with AOE healing much more IMO.

I don't like the design of premonition, 3 functions in one button on a one-minute timer needing to have WAs to monitor. Also, priest in beta is burning a lot of mana. They did not fix priest enough for me to go back to it. I really wanted Oracle to grab my attention but on Beta with it, it's just not fun for me. If they would change premonition to an aura like pally auras maybe it would be fun and give them something strong like monk mana tea to recover more mana other than the 3-minute cool down of symbol of hope and having the shadowfiend recover 0.5% mana on a 3-minute cooldown.

@@timnorris6907 You can opt for the 'lightweaver' playstyle. It works great and saves a lot of mana, plus it allows you to have constant and enhanced healing throughout the key.
I think between the two hero talents, the more mana friendly one is the archon, due to the fact that the healing brought by the halo contributes a lot and helps healing more overall
I appreciate your videos man you remind me that healing is fun I was gonna swap to tank or DPS for tww because of how healing feels in the beta but I think I'm gonna stick to it the game definitely needs healers and it gives me a chance to get better

Oracle seems really solid, the overhealing talent is such a great addition it better also apply to all overhealing because it will solve the problem (partially) with how much overhealing HPriest's Mastery can do.
I have the same issue with Prayer of Mending by the way, i miss casting it a lot of time simply because of how much its healing output level is mostly set for raids of the top % design.
I think that even if i made (yet another, i know ffs) WA that would literally "flashbang" my entire screen when its CD is ready, i would still miss casting that spell on CD simply becuase of how little it heals, it's useless in most M+ situations (even when talented for it it's so subpar) and needs to be heavily tweaked, like it, it now lasts 10 secs instead of 30, has 5 stacks, heals for way more, has its duration increased by like 2-4 secs for each jump (the initial current duration is being transferred over to the friendly target,it jumps on to so it can't jump forever like crazy and unbalanced), but then you tweak the related talent around that framework of the spell and voila! It actually becomes useful and now people have a reason to remember pressing it.
I know you can't burn a blizzard but i know you can melt one and this Blizzard, needs some melting, with this spell.

@@georgeindestructible how long have you been playing hpriest? Do you have any idea why the changes were made to PoM to make it last longer etc? I doubt that you do because otherwise you wouldntve suggested this. Your best bet is to just let people disagree with you. You angle is “I think this would be fun” but in reality it’s a whole lots of healing loss and angry people complaining that it’s not jumping enough and expiring.
You basically admitted to not being able to cast it on CD yourself. With the changes you’re proposing you yourself would probably bottleneck your own healing.

Yeah it is just a damage centric game mode as well! But maybe one day they'll make some massive changes!
I think in BGs you can still get away with that but not in arena or high level PVE. In a BG it’s a huge challenge to keep everyone alive and pulling that off is enough. I don’t play Holy priest but I’ve played a lot of non fistweaving MW, rShaman, and rDruid and in BG and RBG I just heal my ass off and I only dps when the tide turns in a group fight and we’re just finishing someone off. At that point it’s fun because “haha I’m the healer and even I’m jumping you now” 😅 In an epic BG it makes even more sense you for to just heal heal heal. As a healing focused healer I’ve grown really fond of PVP over the years.
Might as well drop SWD and its buff talent.

Not sure what the title is about, HPriest is the highest dps on retail atm lol. They blast dmg.
It's referencing how with the other hero talent tree it adds a ton of damage to holy priest in m+ but this tree barely adds any.
When I made a video on the other hero talent tree people got so mad that I talked about damage... so there you go.

I have come to dislike these two healing trends in wow healing. Auto-healing: So many spells are not aimed but is auto-aimed at whoever needs healing or has a side-effect that is auto-aiming. It's boring to play and they drive the need for game mechanics that slam everybody's health bar big style. It's just bad game design resulting in low player agency and more randomness. Spell overload: So many healing spells both give direct healing then a HoT and a shield and the next something else gets boosted and your AH auctions gets advertised and it will send your mum flowers and and and! Just stop it. The average player has no chance to find out which of these spells are good. Are we choosing them for the main effect or for the side effects? We end up looking at guides then mechanically mimicking spell sequences without ever understanding why this sequence is good. Again, this is not increasing, but lowering player agency. Please simplfy and order spells, so we have defined main spells with an clear effect and then boost spells.
You are right lol it does feel like there's more steps needed! I literally spent all day working on guide videos that will drop toward the ww release date, and I will say that I make it my main focus to help the viewers understand why they do sequences, not just how to do them!

the talent tree is totally outdated, i was considering playing priest but other healers have received much more updates that is difficult to choose priest in this state, great video nonetheless it has merit too comment while you play
Yeah holy priest has been kind of stuck in limbo since shadowlands. I wouldn't be surprised if they got the next rework of the healers! Maybe an interrupt!

Throughout the video i got used to using it! The first few pulls were me just not sure how to use it, but as it goes on you'll see me use each charge and talk about it more!

Healer damage doesnt matter until 2 key levels below world top keys. This is not SL anymore.

@@RinaaaYa The phrase "healing doesn't matter" while is technically not true, just because you can still time a key without a healer's damage it doesn't mean healer damage doesn't matter at all, of course it doesn't matter as much as it did back in SL but to say that it doesn't matter at all is a binary type of statement and thinking, just like the guy you gave that statement to initially for the exact same reason but for the opposite result.
Basically, he (among other people) wants things done, asap and you don't care as long as they are done, that's the difference.
Personally i like healer damage as long as it doesn't make people from the group die and that's not a skill issue for most classes, it's a major issue because of how healing is working entirely.
That's a serious problem Blizzard needs to fix but doesn't because the top % performing players do not have this issue because the design of the framework is literally tailored for them, and that's also why you can, at the bottom lowest level keys, can still time keys, it's because this is how the scaling is is tuned.

Yep that is the key. I can outdps tanks in some keys and yet if my group dies to mechanics my damage wont even matter in the end.
You can learn to heal properly and dont do much dps until like 15 range and it wont make a difference. You can always optimize, but healer damage is incredibly overrated, specially in pugs. Like, seriously, for like 100 keys in pugs, maybe 5 of them at most were timed due to the healer damage. At most.
If you are a healer that just wants to take care of healing -> bye bye no invite

I don't care if you struggle, just put few dot or smite in and do 3% of the damage but if you legit afk for 30s during a slow phase 😂😂😂
