What’s crazy is the amount of marketing and advertising going into NFL Blitz just for it to crash and fall as hard as it did. This cab was a failure since the beginning
300 is the sweet spot for these arcade 1ups. None of the arcade 1ups is worth any more than that. It's all emulation anyways. Plus what they use to build these are very cheap.
I dont know how many times over the years Ive heard "so-n-so" game is crap only to find that its something I actually enjoyed! To me this is one of those. Ive played it with my young son and his friends and dont mind the violence being tamed down. There is room for 4 kids or 3 kids and 1 me!!!!! Yeah its not the greatest most fantastic football arcade ever but it was fun and worth the money. Different strokes for different folks!
Btw kevgret I just realized… Home Depot sells Arcade1Up’s online but unlike other retailers they show the inventory count available to ship. For example: NFL Blitz according to Home Depot when you add it to cart shows there are a whopping 5,948 units available to ship. That is a ridiculous amount of NFL Blitz’s and that’s just online who knows how many of these are physically in Ollie’s and other retailers sitting on their shelves. NFL Blitz is going to be $150 this Black Friday I’m calling it now. It costs money to warehouse these monstrosity’s
The lowest I saw Blitz for was 174.00 at Sams club and it came with the stool. I wonder if these at Ollie’s will be without the stool and 75-100 bucks? And what was the original price on these things? 599? I can’t remember…… Crazy though l.
$299 is still overpaying sadly for A1up. The problem for me even buying this cab at a closeout is it has one of those obnoxious 4 player control panels that makes the cab too wide for no reason since you still can't comfortably play with more than 2 players. I wonder if this was such a fail that it will prevent them from releasing NFL Blitz in other form factors, I guess it will depend on the length of their deal. The only thing I was excited for was if they continue what they started by modifying the game even further and licensing/adding the complete current rosters, that might be the only thing that could save this for a 2014-15 season as a deluxe or XL.
I don’t mind the deep discount, I always liked blitz so this will be great in the gameroom, $600 is too much anyway so half price is a buy for me, screw the haters

299. Still a pass. Maybe a few years ago i might have pd 299 for a 4 player. But honestly i never saw 1ups being worth 299. Call me unrealistic, but the quality just wasnt there, and still isnt. Love ollies, but never see "good" stuff like this in our area. If a product ends up at ollies, it usually did not do well or some store bought WAY too much for their own good.
New subscriber here, I just snagged one at my local Ollie's. such a fantastic bargain I couldn't pass up, glad I waited.
As a reseller this is a hard pass. Even at $200 there's no money to be made in my area on a Blitz cabinet. RIP Blitz

When they took out late hits I lost interest.
between the late hits, no online at launch, framerate issues, some dialogue taken out... it was a tough sell from the start
