The Scenery is definitely the one thing I miss about my old foodservice job. For 7 years I had a 3 day route to Humboldt and Del Norte counties on the California North Coast, and for about 3.5 years my Thursday route went to Tuolumne/Calaveras counties in the Mother Lode area
That Mother Lode area is stunning. I have a buddy who owns the Long Barn Lodge and it really did take my breath away, mostly because it was cold as hell and snowing like crazy. However, I am in Sacramento right now about to head to the Bay Area and I took I80 from Salt Lake City and holy cow mang, Donner, the Bonneville Salt Flats, and heck even Sacramento has some stunning scenery. I love this driving job. :-)

Sorry I missed this mesage, I've been off the internet for a while. I was only in Sac for a day then I had to go to Fontana for my 34hr. Are you generally up there for the most part? I would totally be down to give you a heads up whenever I know I'm going to be at that truck stop. lol
