I also love this show as I love history. I'm appalled by the behavior of today and the current theme of erasing history because it might be offensive. You're dang right it's offensive! Learn about it, and learn from it so you don't make the same mistakes our ancestors did... if you erase it, then you'll be doomed to repeat it out of ignorance.

While I completely agree that the behavior of many people today is shameful, removing statues is not erasing history, it's simply removing the public glorification of the symbol of such negative acts. For example, and this is an extreme example but one nonetheless... there are no monuments to the evil powers of WWII. History wasn't erased from that time, we still learn about it, but the glorification of those symbols of oppression are no longer around on public display. It's when that history is removed from books and other historical resources that we have a real problem and face the greatest risk of forgetting that history and repeating it. Removing a public statue won't remove history.
