Don't know if this is of use but if you want to do fine dark lines you can do this by running a sharp 4 to 9H through a darker tone and it will carry the tone producing a fine dark line saving the need to constantly having to sharpen a soft pencil. Also as it runs out of the tone and lightens towards the end of the stroke it produces a tapering effect. Hope this was helpful.

Any tips on how to be more patient? Lol! That's my struggle. I also seriously think I have some form.of ADHD because my mind goes everywhere and so does my art. I'm not kidding when I say that having a glass of wine before drawing really does help calm my hyper mind down and I can focus better. Silly I know. But patience is something I struggle with.
