Looks like the spray button is taller on the real one too. I thought mine was fake.
Differences I noted about the fake:
1. Coarser, less refined pattern on the black wrap
2. Montblanc logo on the wrap sticks out really far and has a bump around it
3. The wrap is not tightly sealed around the bottle and you can see it coming away from the bottle on the edges
4. The curves on the bottom of the bottle where they go from the edges to the middle are much more angular on the fake than the real one
5. The internal stem is far more visible on the fake than the real one
6. When looking into the bottom of the bottle, the fake is far lighter in color.
7. The printing on the top collar indents the metal beyond just the letters themselves. You can clearly see the metal curving in towards the letters.

You could say first obvious sign is shoulder writing is not deeply engraved in original. Fake is way too deep. I mean not clean. Also if you look at from bottom inside will appear darker in original

so i have one fake and one real.
The problem is i bought the fake one at The Hudson Bay 2 years ago, and the bottle is empty now, so i can't mistake both of them. 😅
