Great story. Great car. I got a Mustang with a similar story. My dad had just recently stopped chemo since it wasn't working. About all he could do was sit, and even that was uncomfortable. I decided to rent a 66 convertible. I took him, his brother, and my friend to his doctors appointment then to Dairy Queen. We jammed to the classics with the top down. He didn't complain about the pain for the first time in weeks the entire ride. It really lifted his spirits. He said, "How can you not smile cruising in one of these." These classics take you back and make you forget about the problems. Like you said, with all five senses inundated by the car you can't think about anything else. I ended up getting a 65 vert a few months after his passing. I think about him every time I get in. I never stop smiling.
I recently bought a 69 mustang coupe for my birthday! You’re so right it really does take you back in time, especially when I blast classic bands like Black Sabbath in it! Great video!
This is my first car and i havent had the time or money to get it running but i just graudated highschool and im getting started on it. i hope it turns at as cool as yours great story!
great video, brought me back when i had a 69 coupe way back when i was a young pup, that's similiar to yours, lighter green with metal flake in it, black vinyl roof & alum mustang mags, good luck
Great car and a nice story to come with it. I’ve got a 1969 Mach 1 here in Australia and I can only imagine how passionate you’d be about yours. Well done!
This video is awesome. Thank you for sharing your story with it. It really hit me and started to tear up. You did a kick butt job on the Stang. I hope to get my 69’ coupe to look as half as good as yours someday.
Great vid! I have another 69 mustang coupe, I just wanted to ask, why didn't you went for the fastback conversion? I mean, you redo all the back end. I'm still thinking in do that conversion on mine

Really sweet custom job. I’m doing a 69 Fastback myself into a Mach 1 clone. Anyways, good luck with yours.
Good luck!
Those rims are awesome, I’m restoring a coupe that only needs body work, could I ask what rims are those?
They are 18s off of a 2017 Mustang. I had them painted black.
What are your thoughts on fitech? Debating on upgrading but i like the vintage stuff
