I went back China during the Chinese New Year too, have the same feeling like you when back. Feel I just woke up from a sweet dream that I don't want to and feel so upset about the real world. The university campus looks beautiful! Such beautiful buildings and open, green spaces. I am also relieved that you cannot spend more than a few hours a day on PhD/research - I am the same, and always feel guilty for not doing a full 8 hours (like an office job). My brain just ends up frying though and I can't concentrate on high-energy work like writing for any longer. Thanks again for this video, and good luck with your progress!
thank you! I had that guilty feeling too but now I just accept the fact that my brain is not functioning well after a few hours of sitting in front of the laptop😂
two to three hours of writing a day is great progress. I hope you can keep it up. I need that kind of productivity this year!

Hi, I am new to the channel, so I don't know if you've already talked about it in some video, but being interested in doing a PhD in Mel I was wondering what kind of life it is possible to afford with a basic PhD salary in a city like that.
