i’m about to be 17 and i’m terrified to drive. people pick on me for having my mom or sister drive me everywhere, but whenever i try to drive i just have panic attacks. so thank you for this it rlly helped a lot!!

I'm 18 and I dont plan to drive for a couple years cause it stresses me out so much! dont feel bad at all, you're totally not alone. especially in my city lots of people dont drive

I’m 28 with no driver’s license or permit 🥴. I had really bad anxiety. I couldn’t even sit in the front seat with someone who drives recklessly or “too fast.” I’m from New York so it’s common to not drive, but less common for Queens natives like me. I’ll drive one day… maybe 🤷🏽♀️
I was forced into getting my license at 16, but I have an insane amount of anxiety when it comes to driving. Getting into the car with someone who is reckless is a no go for me either. I want to cry when someone I am with drives recklessly it is horrifying.
Same I'm 26 and live in Philly and I'm scared to drive to idk why
You can do it, I believe in you. I was the same way with driving, due to extreme anxiety. One thing that helped the most was having someone who was extremely patient with me teach me and coax me through my anxiety. Some other things that helped were driving on residential or side streets where I could drive like 20 mph and it would be totally fine lol, and getting some practice in when there weren't many people on the road. Just take it one day at a time, and move at your own pace.

I was terrified as well, now it's one year after I passed my driving test and I already had 2 jobs that required driving. you'll get used to it quickly
About you laughing when you saw the guy and the girl holding hands i think is normal cause i do that too when i feel weird emotions or things i cannot describe, it's a way of dealing with stuff I guess, that's how you respond to certain scenarios and situations

I relate to the laughing at seeing your ex with someone you knew about like that. I used to laugh at the most random moments or sometimes when something's so disappointing, you laugh to keep from being angry or upset.

Okay I’ve been in a couple accidents myself and I am terrified to drive not because I feel as if I don’t know how to drive but because of other people on the road. I am extremely safe on the road but also extremely nervous watching all around me… I get anxiety even thinking about having to go small distances. I am 17 and graduated with my license but it’s not a full after 9 pm drivers license. I have to go to work soon, I have to start college and drive there soon and I’m super nervous because it’s only about a month away and I still never drive…please any tips you have would be gratefully appreciated, I should probably look into an instructor too like Mariah, I had one for drivers education before my license but I probably need another one

We all go through this but one thing that help me is always look at the car and not just the lines, signs and lights. Like although the light is green that doesn’t mean I should go right away. Another one that I watch out for is if I’m at the stop and I know it’s my turn to go, I’ll let the impatient car go first. Better to be safe than sorry. Drive the speed limit to start.

I never had a boyfriend. One day i met a guy at the park and something about him didn't seem right. I had this gut feeling you know. He was 11years older than me, he was stalking me and i was telling him not to follow me but he kept doing that and sending me messages and stuff. I told him to stop texting me and he got SO PISSED he acted as if i was breaking up with him even though we were not a couple.
