      I'll be happy to do that for you! It is easy and you can conquer it, no problem! I'll message you back on this thread to let you know when it is up and ready to go and I'm going to try for sometime in the next week! (As a bonus, I'll also show you how to make some delicious garlic toast with the bread you may have in the cabinet at home AND how to use the leftovers for a delicious baked spaghetti that you can put in the freezer for later!). Thanks so much for leaving me a response and trusting me to show you how to cook! We will have you cooking up a storm in no time at all!

    Hey, I tried this and it was delicious! Do you think that it's fine to put other vegetables with the broccoli (if yes, if you can suggest any)? I'm a big boy and eat a lot, so I would enjoy some extra food.

    • @loavesanddishes
      @loavesanddishes  Рік тому +1

      Yes you can! Cauliflower is always a good option, carrots would work well too. Basically you want to choose veggies that will have a similar cook time. This recipe would work well with any of those pre-packaged mixed frozen veggies too!

      It can decrease some of the nutrients in vegetables but not all. All cooking methods will decrease some nutrients and increase others! But eating any vegetable is better than eating no vegetables! :)

    Wait, isn't boiling it gonna make it mushy?

    • @loavesanddishes
      @loavesanddishes  3 роки тому +12

      No, as long as you don't boil the broccoli too long. Simply bring the water back up to a boil and then as soon as a fork will go through the broccoli stem, it's done.

    You do you need the soy sauce?

    • @loavesanddishes
      @loavesanddishes  9 місяців тому

      You don't have to add soy sauce, you could also use Liquid Aminos if you want a soy sauce alternative. But if you don't want to add it you don't have to! You just want to be sure you season them really well!

  • @sarita8245
    @sarita8245 2 роки тому

    What's the point of the soy sauce? Is that just a personal preference?

    • @loavesanddishes
      @loavesanddishes  2 роки тому +2

      The soy sauce is personal preference. You could add other things that you like!

    • @loavesanddishes
      @loavesanddishes  2 роки тому +2

      The soy sauce also adds some umami flavor to the broccoli as well as a salty flavor that helps take care of any bitter flavors that might be found in the broccoli. Its something that a lot of people like the flavor of.
