Yesterworld Entertainment never any cool collabs on his channel...
Yesterworld Entertainment fascinating stuff! Keep em coming
Theres so many props from Waterworld out around the queue in Universal Studios Hollywood. Bummed to hear htey didnt make the list!
Yesterworld Entertainment I tried Nord VPN with the discount and they charges me 99 dollars and the promo says i would pay less then 3 dollars a month. What a scam
Robbie C: I thought this one was pretty cool...oh well, to each his/her own.
I worked as a "Doc Brown" at Universal Studios Hollywood twenty years ago and one of my favorite perks of the job was driving one of the actual Deloreans used in the first film. Don't know if they still have it because park management eventually realized that driving it through the park caused a lot of congestion as people stopped to take pictures, so the car was stored and reserved for special events like parades.
Brad DeMoss it may not be the same one however in Universal Orlando there is a DeLorean Time Machine on display next to the Train time machine
Old comments...but my neighbor in Orlando owns one of the movie prop cars!
Got to meet John Delorian many years ago; interesting man. Very sad what happened; the cars have become iconic. There's rumors of a new car, but I'll believe it when I see it.
Really great collaborating with you Mark! Love the finished product. You’re one of my favorite channels!
Right back at ya!
Disney Dan I hope you guys collaborate again in the near future this time with dsny
Yawl missed a trick here. You could have doubled up the fact that the chair from the Haunted Mansion in is Pirates and the organ from 20,000 Leagues is in the Haunted Mansion.
There may be a part 2 in the works...
NAME EXPOSED!
You guys did an awesome with this! Loved it!
As the lord of Top 10 Theme Park Vids, we appreciate your blessings. haha
Ahhh I love that everyone I watch watches each other! It’s good to see you Tpmvids!!
Joi Robb same, it's so magical!
TPMvids ❤️😋😋
Oh my god TPM my family loves your videos and watches them on the T.V. every time you make a new one
It really bothers me that a lot of the props from the backlot tour’s whereabouts are unknown....but I think people should take care of movie props and maybe have a place we can visit them
That would be ideal but unfortunately, a lot of movie companies figure " after we got the shot why would we need it anymore?" I know it's further back, but most of the props from the Wizard of Oz were literally put into a fire! Those people had no idea they were destroying pieces of cinematic history. Thank goodness for Debbie Reynolds who recognized how important and valuable these items were.
“This belongs in a museum!”
You should check out the channel: Scott Prop and Roll. The channel of an excellent prop master whose shed is full of movie and TV props from over the years. He also tells killer puns.
@@bestbi3587 I love him!
Hello! LOVE your video's but I do need to correct you on the Harry Potter ones; I work at the Warner Brother studio tour & We have the majority of the original items, as all the films were filmed here.
So Dumbledoor's desk at Hollywood is not the original, Neither is Mad Eye mood's Cane in Hollywood or the projector. We have the original one of that & it has since been modified for Fantastic Beasts; The Crimes of Grindleward. The painting on the wall of the quidditch pitch is also a replica. The original one is still hanging in Gryffindor common room in our set, it was concept art that they loved so much they decided to put it in the film itself. I'm sorry to correct you, but I can't help myself, it's my job to know what's real & what's been replicated. Usually there are several different versions of a prop (like the sword of Gryffindor) Florida has the Deathly hallows large one, we have the philosophers stone small one.
Disney Dan and defunctland
Defunctland and yesterworld
Yesterworld and Disney Dan
The circle is complete
What about tpm??
wait what about tpm vids an fastpass facts
Funny, I watched an interview with Steven Spielberg; when asked what his reaction was to Universal "chopping the Orca" he laughed and said he felt bad for the poor gentleman on the phone that broke the news to him, Spielberg apparently went in on him.
MY DUMBASS DIDN'T EVEN REALIZE THAT WAS WHERE GHOSTBUSTERS SHELL OF A BUILDING WAS. I WAS LITERALLY TAKING A SMALL NAP ON THE SIDE OF THAT BUILDING.
Also tip for people who are going to be going on Rip Ride Rocket: Don't choose Gloria Gaynor's, "I Will Survive". Choose something like "Devil Went Down to Georgia". I chose the first song because I love it, and I regretted it
Jacinta Tarenta I love
I will survive.......
I like the Haunted Mansion movie. it's by no means a great movie but it's a haloween movie you can watch with younger kids without wanting to shoot yourself.
Ikr. The clip they showed to make the movie look bad made me chuckle, meanwhile Disney Dan's entire channel is nails on a chalkboard to me. Humor is subjective.
It was okay. Obviously not as amazing as the first Pirates movie but still decent-ish.
To be completely transparent and honest, that is absolutely 100% not the case. There was a clip that included the chairs, and like much of the movie, it also contained cringey (and in my opinion) unfunny dialogue, that I personally decided to include. I understand it's a guilty pleasure, as I too find some fun in watching the movie for it's references as I love seeing Disney attractions brought to life on-screen...but in my opinion it's very poorly written and serves as a great example of how NOT do an adaptation of a theme park ride into a movie. But that's my subjective opinion :)
Trogdor Gaming I love comments like these...because despite my personal thoughts and opinions on the movie itself, I'm always glad that people can enjoy it and that it can bring a bit of the Disney Magic into their lives in movie format :)
I agree. I enjoyed the film as well. It's always in our family Halloween film rotation.
I really wish they would've taken better care of some of their props and just put it into some museum for the public to enjoy instead of leaving them to rot
I still have a childhood picture of my dad and I standing in front of Ecto 1. It must have been about 92. I never realized that was a real movie prop until just now.
People criticise the haunted mansion movie so much but I love it! The film score from Mark mancina is amazing and the cgi is pretty well done considering it was the early 2000s.
Not to mention Eddie Murphy's acting, so much emotion and humor went into it.
It’s actually one of my favorite Disney movies unironically
It's a pretty decent movie. Don't understand why it's called the worst ever.
0:33
Oh hai Mark.
Bryce Mckenzie Came here for this.
Darn you preemptively stole my comment
Bryce Mckenzie moist **👌🏻**
O h h i M a r k
Hah-hah
That was awesome. I want more! I'll never understand destroying movie props for any reason. To me they are like national treasures.
It's all about perspective. Fox thought Star Wars was going to be a massive failure, so there is an incredible amount of props they quite literally trashed.
Wait... I’m i the only one that loved The Haunted Manson movie?!?!? I grew up on that shit
Loved the video, but at 12:08 did you mean to label Number 10 as The Haunted Mansion Hearse?
Yes...yes I did...it's...an inside joke...I mean, an artistic statement...
I was wondering about that 😂
Thought it was an error on their part, lol.
Jokes aside, it's an error. I swear I watched this 10 times before posting, but my brain in it's delirium of 12-14 hour days for the last week never caught that. I think it's because I saw 'Haunted Mansion' and my brain went "Eh, good enough" but didn't read the rest.
Yesterworld Entertainment honestly its not that bad, at least i only noticed it my 2nd time watching
Oh my gosh NOOOO I loved the Haunted Mansion
i do too
Fun Fact: The screen used chest from the first Pirates film can be seen in the treasure room of the attraction, as well as the screen used row boat, towards the end of the battle scene of the ride, both in the Anaheim version of Pirates of the Caribbean.
Which battle scene? Is it the one with Barbossa's ship or the pirate shootout in the fort before the end-lift?
10:30 There's actually two. The other rail cart from Hot Lead and Cold Feet is also in Disneyland's Big Thunder but you'd have to go around back, almost all the way around to the Fantasyland restrooms to see it. It's on the northernmost side of the ride facing what used to be the BBQ before construction began on Star Wars Land. That cart is still there.
Another little thing about the Hearse. It was used by WWE for some of the legendary Undertaker's Cinimatic Promos
I'm so glad you did a video like this. I am a film buff and a theme park enthusiast. I enjoy seeing movie props in park, to (hopefully) live on. Thank you
What about the S.S Jenny from Forest Gump? I heard it was docked at Downtown Disney’s Planet Hollywood.
That's for another episode...
I’m so glad I started following the Disney Parks/amusement parks community of UA-cam. Defunctland, Disney Dan, Offhand Disney, Yesterworld and all the rest. I love these collabs so much.

Why was the mosquito carved out of the faux amber?
WELCOME TO TPM VIDS DISNEY BEA--whoops sorry wrong channel
not you it's okay!
A shame Disney just didn’t polish up the Flight of the Navigator ship instead of adding all that cheesy junk on it. Looks less sci-fi than if they left it alone.
That movie is something I'm really nostalgic for as I loved it when I saw it (I was 10 at the time).
I remember seeing the Ecto-1A at Universal around 2001. Despite it having ropes around it, you could still walk right up to it and touch it. In fact, I was astonished to find that it was actually unlocked. I opened and then shut the door drawing the attention of a custodian on the other side of the street. Fun times. I was under the impression though that both Ectos had been restored around the time of either the release of Ghostbusters: The Video Game or anniversary of the movie.
I believe Ecto-1A was in storage but used for Ghostbusters Afterlife but with altered graphics to look like a beat up Ecto 1
@@chasee3797 I may be late, but I think that they custom made their own version of the Ecto-1 for Afterlife.
Holy shit, that was the real sword of Griffindor from the movie! 0___0
my reaction exactly!!!
Disney Dan seems a lot more fun!!!
How do you know these are not replicas of the props - or caste from the same moulds... most of these 'props' can be found at various theme parks around the world.
Also... most props are not meant to last or be exposed to the environment for too long... so many 'props' that people think are from the actual movies are actually just models caste from the original moulds but are not the prop used in the actual movie.
The Harry Potter one I severely question -- near london you can actually have studio tours of the harry potter backlots etc - they also claim to have all actual props... head to japan and i they too make the same claims... granted, some items had multiple props but i very much doubt that they make 3 huge dumbledore desks.
I heard the Piano Organ from "20,000 leagues under the Sea" is in Haunted Mansion's dining hall at the Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom.
No the "20,000 Leagues" organ is at Disneyland's HM.
The boat outside Jaws the ride, was the same boat from Jaws: The Revenge.
My cousin and I accidentally got into the express line on the ET ride at universal in Florida, we didn’t know until we were boarding the ride and saw a much longer line of people
"Oh hi, Mark"
~Tommy Wisea-I mean, Disney Dan, 2018
Didn’t lance bass or one of the other boy banders buy the table and chairs from haunted mansion movie? It was on an old episode of mtv cribs.
Why was the mosquito removed from the amber?
“Infinity war is the most ambitious crossover event in history”
Zach's zesty Life it’s Smash
I've always loved the Haunted Mansion movie. Even though i can recognize that it is bad. 😅
What a nice collaboration! Can't wait for more
does anyone have a link to the jack sparrow animatronic imagineering video shown around 12:30? thank you!
I know this is 2 years too late but the failure to mention the back to the future delorean and time train had killed me. Both are huge iconic props and Universal has both of them. They arent replicas. They are indeed the original movie vehicles
Love your channel and your videos, but with all due respect, this video is factually incorrect about the Nazi tank from Indiana Jones. The tank featured on the tram tour is NOT the same tank placed at the exit to the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular. That was the hero tank. The tank on the tram tour was the process tank and it’s fate was likely shared with many of the other relics in the bone yard: chopped up and tossed in a dumpster:(
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I heard the organ in the ballroom of the Haunted Mansion in Anaheim is also the one used by Captain Nemo in the 1954 film 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea.
It is
Love this video! Such fascinating information. And, yes, the Haunted Mansion movie -- which really had so much potential -- was a HOT MESS! Still waiting for the new Haunted Mansion movie to be written & directed by Guillermo del Toro...
You guys missed the Barbasol can prop that's at the base of the main lift hill on Florida's Jurassic Park River Adventure
Kittyhat
It wasn't a screen used prop. Just set decorations, like the Nightvision goggles and the taser staffs.
Believe it or not, I actually asked a source about this, but they (as I assumed) told me it was just a replica.
there's another notable Jurassic Park prop that showed up at Islands of Adventure, but it's not there anymore: for one of their Halloween Horror Nights events (i forget what year, but the attraction itself was called Project Evilution) had one of the scenes you walk by be the decapitated head of a triceratops suspended above you by insane human-dinosaur hybrids, which was actually the head of the animatronic triceratops from The Lost World
The Orca was scheduled to be restored.
But when they lifted it up it broke into several pieces and sank.
I want more! I adore movie props and I love how they are housed forever in different places!
Seriously guys, great collab. I was born and raised near the orlando area, I myself did not even know that any of these were real props! Glad I got to see some before they vanished and I can't wait to go back and check the other ones out again!
Ever since watching this video and learning about the chairs from The Haunted Mansion, I have noticed them as props elsewhere. For example, I saw the Broadway musical Anastasia a few months ago, and I noticed one of the chairs on the stage. And I just came across a photo of one of the chairs with a different paint job from some movie. I'm sure they've been used in many places now!
I heard the actually Aztec gold chest, with the coins, in the 1st Pirates movie sits on display at the Pirates Ride at Disneyland.
You can see US President Dwight D Eisenhower and First Lady Mamie Eisenhower at 10:15.
Man, if I ever go to any of these parks, I'm gonna annoy everybody with facts that I got from watching all these videos.
oof i actually liked the movie... very different from the stereotypical Disney princesses.
Great video! Just one thing though- at 8:50 you mention the vanishing cabinet being the one used in the movie, but this article listed in your sources says it was a recreation. blog.universalorlando.com/extras/8-mind-blowing-props /
Oh hi mark. Lol
they did THAT to the flight of the navigator ship...blasphemers!
Absolutely loved this video, very well put together and very interesting!! Thanks so much!
I'm re-watching this and just had the same reaction as the first time around: that Haunted Mansion movie clip is funny.
11:17 Shark still looks fake.
Why is no one else in the comments sad about the ecto 1 and 1a?
"You're actually on yesterworld"
"Oh hi Mark"
"Hey dan"
Why did this make me laugh so hard?
Great video! Liked and subbed. Check us out....we do travel vlogs & love Disney too!
YOU chose CLOSING THE GOD DAMN DOOR
I LOVE the haunted mansion movie
oh c'moooon I liked Haunted Mansion movie I thought it was real good
I actually really like the haunted mansion movie lol
3:13
then you may notice it looks like something straight out of Little Einstein's
When i watched your video on disney effects, I immediatley recognized the one with the elephants from the Safari. I saw it when I was 3 and I know that they got rid of the broken bridge effect
2:38
The ship was also completely recreated as a 3D model with a graphics supercomputer as a number of the flying scenes used a CG generated ship and it was also quite technologically advanced for the time as it did take advantage of ray tracing techniques for it’s lightning and reflections which was an extremely new thing at the time! It’s mainly because the earliest realistic computer generated ray tracing effects on 3D models first appeared in 1982-1985 in experimental computer graphics films! :)
Sorry to break this to you, but the E.T. Communicator that was on display at the Museum of Science and Industry had been there since at least the 1990s. That was one of the features I sought out to see every time I would go to the museum. I'm almost certain that it is a replica and not the actual prop.
I was at the museum just this past Saturday and sadly, the E.T. Communicator and the rest of the features in that area were gone. In the same display that held the communicator, their were also two mannequins dressed in Starfleet uniforms from the original Star Trek TV Series. The whole wing was a sort of tribute to Science Fiction since on the walls their were old movie posters for 2001 as well as Flash Gordon.
My dad worked at Universal Orlando in the 90s, and his job was to get things ready for shows (such as Beetlejuice’s Graveyard Revue) and to drive Ecto 1-A into place daily!
this is an awesome channel!! love the content
Is Disney Dan the pitbull of Disney videos
this was awesome! I loved the facts and hope I keep an eye on some those props in the parks! :D really cool! :D
I would make a comment about Captain Nemo's organ from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and Treasure of Cortes chest from Curse of the Black Pearl being hidden in the Disneyland versions of Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean respectively, but here's something I found really interesting yet not a lot of diehard Disney Parks fans really know about.
In the original Star Tours queue for Disneyland Anaheim's version; when you reach the Droid Repair Bay, look down to the very bottom and you'll see DL-X2; who in the Star Wars canon is a travel agency security droid. But what many people don't know was that he was created by Imagineers for a crime solving drama series "Hill Street Blues" which ran on NBC from 1981 to 1987 (right when Star Tours first made its debut). It acted as a police unit robot for most of Season 3's episodes and its original name was TK46000. I believe he is still in the queue for Adventures Continue, but I've never been on that version of the ride myself. To learn more on what I'm talking about, follow the links here:
starwars.fandom.com/wiki/DL-X2
www.endorexpress.net/database/dl-x2/
I also found out that the infamous Hulk car customized by Bow Wow’s character in Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift was displayed in the outdoor queue line for The Incredible Hulk roller coaster in the Islands of Adventure Marvel area before it’s 2016 refurbishment.
Awesome collaboration! Great video as always 👍
Thank you!!!
Yesterworld Entertainment you're very welcome!!! 😀👍💯
You missed one of the most famous ones: the pipe organ seen in the Haunted Mansion is the screen used prop played by Captain Nemo in _20,000 Leagues Under the Sea._
I liked the haunted mansion movie tho
I always thought a painting from Pirates was from the film “Black beards ghost”. Never confirmed it
Im surprised you guys didn't talk about the organ from 20,000 leagues under the sea being in Disneyland's Haunted Mansion
0:32 It should be "Oh hi Mark.", not "Oh, hi Mark!" Note the lack of commas and exclamation points.
Yes, the crossover I've waited for.
4:44 Wait... They cut into a 1950s Cadillac to make that monstrosity?! I apologize to any fans of the original Ghostbusters, but this is morally wrong. Sorry, I’m a classic car geek.😅
Please do a part 2 of this,
I LOVE THIS CHANNEL Great Video !
Great video! I'm a huge fan of Flight of the Navigator 😊
Have you run across anything in your research about the Robins in the Carousel of Progress? A cast member told us that Disney wanted to use real, but stuffed, robins in Mary Poppins. However, it was illegal to kill song birds, so they found some at a museum from the late 1800s that were used for the movie. After the movie, the birds were used for the Carousel of Progress. I don't know if it's true and I've never been able to find confirmation, but I thought it was interesting if true!
What about Madam Hooch's uniform in the Quidditch supplies shop in Orlando? I am pretty sure the robes shop has McGonagall's as well as Lockhart's.
Check out blog.universalorlando.com/extras/8-mind-blowing-props/ Eric Baker (Senior Props Manager for Universal) talks about which props are from the films. He does state that the Vanishing Cabinet is a recreation & not the original.
I find it awful that companies like this can let big jeeps/tanks/car/boats just rust away to nothing. Don't give a feck I bet as long as the money is coming in.
Why don't they open another park or museum for this 'older' props stuff to go where it will be safe.
Fun fact about the Haunted Mansion chairs. Another one currently lives in the waiting area of Universal Studios’ Horror Makeup Show in Orlando. Sadly it is not blocked off, and guests sit in it all the time not realizing what it is.
Awesome video! THANKS for this great history of props.
Sometimes I imagine a world where Haunted Mansion took off instead of Pirates. I loved that movie a lot, but also if it had, they would’ve done over the Haunted Mansion ride to reflect the movie and that...is upsetting to think about lol So I guess it all worked out for the best. Pirates is a great franchise. I will happily watch the failed movie on my own and love every second of it.
The orca was not “supposedly” chopped into pieces ...it WAS chopped into pieces. Spielberg called to see if he could get it back after some one altered him that it was not on the lake anymore. They told him it was chopped up because of its condition. He went ballistic! Not a happy camper.
And yet even tho the jurrassic park ride was one of the most favourite rides in all of the park they still decided to close it ...
What Happened to the E.T. prop now the UNIVERSAL NBC exbinct closed in 2015

It hurt my heart to hear about one of the Ecto-1's not being restored and just left abandoned
