  • Hello Gamers! Welcome to my channel! In this episode, I show you one way to optimally start your campaign in Jagged Alliance 3, by taking the first three sectors solo in Mission Impossible difficulty, with Dead is Dead ON, To The Bitter End ON, and Lethal Weapons ON, in an all-new attempt to obtain the Ironman achievement in Steam.
    In doing so, I will show you the melee-based build I use for my I.M.P. Merc and also the combinations of mercenaries I recommend for your starting team.

    Go 37 mark and 1 in each other skill, if you did it, you would receive points when healing, also when using grenades and etc.

    I just did something very similar,, but going psycho, only i soloed all but the fort, so far. (I did it on commando previously, this was my first such try at Mission Impossible). t can be done, but you have to be extra carefull in The Rust. The advantage of doing so is that you hoard all the experience and manage to get to lvl 4 with the IMP. By the time you get to clear the village you can make it to lvl 3, or at least be well into lvl two, meaning you have the first perk giving you grit, greatly improving your survivability. Now, my only doubt is if at lvl 4 i should go for more grit, with Vanguard, Oportunistic killler, for crits on interrupts, or Killing Spree to start climbing on Strength perks.

      Awesome! Nice job! Yeah, I am not confident that The Rust can be solo'd reliably at Mission Impossible. I may try it in my Ironman run, but I definitely think it would be tricky. I totally agree the benefit of hoarding all of the XP on your IMP gives you basically a one-man killing machine who works for free. I think grit maxes out at 30, so the benefit of Vanguard is marginal/situational since two melee attacks will get you to 30 grit pretty quickly. I would probably go for Run and Gun (so that you can knife/kill and then free move to the next target), then Opportunistic Killer, then Killing Spree. Good luck and have fun!

      @@bitsizedgamer8698 there are 500 xp to be gained before even entering combat (besides the initial 3 enemies, and even those can be avoided with a stealthy character) if you go first talk to Pierre at the fort and tell him you want to join the legion. He'll have a task for you. Overall you can get XP from Pierre, Herman (with psycho, not sure about others) and Deedee, completely risk free, before going for the Lookout and Ernie Village.

      Great tips/tut/playthrough, waitn for pt2 x)
      You don't need to do every mission with a group and vice versa (solo). It would be nice if the game gave you an indication/advice beforehand. (without needing to have played it before to know)
      Solo/Rambo/ninja all missions doesn't seem plausible (w/out mods & exploits), but idk. ie: Deedee Boombastic mission, I told the goons to "Get outta here" and they just left (idk why), while on another playthrough, they fought back. (idk why)

      @@paulodas6633 Thanks! I didn't know that you could just tell the goons to go in the Deedee Boombastic mission and they might just leave... I wonder if it's tied to a personality perk like scoundrel, negotiator, or psycho? I might test it, if I have some time.... I agree that it would be nice to know how much force you're going to need to bring to a sector, but I think it's just by design. The Devs want to keep players on our toes by setting up ambushes for us throughout the campaign.

      @@bitsizedgamer8698 The game is so insanely different if you don't use any mercs. 😀
      The reason I don't play Iron Man is that there are a few game breakers and also some sectors that will just kill you if you don't know about how the effect the game.
      Also as you know you have to put up many of the stats to maximum or you will just die so the balance is not really that good in the game if you want to solo it.

    • @bitsizedgamer8698
      @bitsizedgamer8698  Рік тому

      @@sirbum1918 100% agree! Playing either solo or with dynamic duo really changes how you play. You worry a lot less about money, but you worry more about whether you can take the battle, especially if you are going for the Iron Man achievement. I'm still playing this mostly blind, so we will see how it goes. I will probably take one more sector (The Rust) solo, though I may bring in reinforcements for the bunker. We shall see.
