Thanks for this. Between1966 and 1971 all our family Summer Holidays were here. We used to rent either a large or small house on that private cliff top road that you focus on at 1:00. They were owned by a lovely old couple called Mr and Mrs Thewlis who lived in one of the white painted buildings centre of shot. The small blue/grey part tacked onto the left side used to be white then and would sleep 6-8 at a push. The much larger grey stone building on the other side of their house could sleep 12-16 and did on a couple of holidays. They were the best times in my life and their was even a Seal Sanctuary that looked after injured seals that was run by the man who had the shop on the beach as it was then, called Davy Jones Locker. I can still remember climbing up the stone staircase that ran down from the cliff road and when it had rained water used to cascade down it all the way to the boat slope that leads to the beach. Blue Peter also had a solid hull / inflatable RNLI lifeboat based at St Agnes. It is sad that my Dad is in hospital at 94 but hopefully being discharged tomorrow and mum 93 has some Dementia and does not remember these holidays I recently found out. However at the weekend I will show them this footage, and perhaps, it may jog her memory. Thanks once again. I hope that one day I may be fortunate to settle in Cornwall. My cousin who used to go with his parents and sister with us loved the place so much that he moved from Essex to a cottage between St Agnes and Perranporth around the Bay. Lucky so and so.

It was a pleasure. I can almost taste the very dark yellow Cornish Ice Cream cornets we used to buy at or near Driftwood Spa's, large pieces of ice in them. I have never again tasted such Ice cream.@@captaincornishadventures

Lovely video. Is the old airfield still there on the next headland East of StAg? We used to see gliders launched from there years ago, which swooped low over our heads on those coastal paths on the Beacon. Lovely summer evening walks there.
