Just a thought, but if you mirrored the pen you have for crops to the other side, you would have a safe place for most of your tames while you are gone.
Normally having an open area to perform all your crafting is fine on most other maps. But considering this is Scorched Earth the sand storms are a bit cumbersome. You'll be moving super slow anytime you're crafting and there's an active sand storm. So, I'd advise putting a roof over it to resolve that.
If you have a plant pot in your inventory and you have the shovel and use it next to some plants etc it will fill your pots up with the plant you shoveld up and you can use them as decoration:) Also for the kibble it might be easier just to tame the creatures that produce the highest kibble because then you can tame any creature up and it wont take up much space and it will be easier to collect the eggs if theres no oviraptor.
Name for the roo: Hopper. Seeing your tames standing out there unprotected makes me anxious. Syntac and Axe lost some tames like this. A temporary stable could add more protection.
You don't need to pen beetles. Toss them into a wooden cage on wander. Once they have oodles of poop collected they'll be weighed down and you can eliminate the cage.
my dung beetles are always Poop Meister General and Dr Poopenshmirtz XDD Also as an aside - Dung Beetle levels matter now, I believe the higher their level the bigger their poop collecting range, there were theories it was specifically melee that did it but it seems it's just levels in general, so make sure to keep levelling yours as you go :)
I had the greatest luck with the kangaroo - a 135 male got himself completely trapped under my deck, it was the easiest tame ever 🤣 And then some lower levels got trapped too which was easy pelt for the saddle haha
Really don’t need to worry about the beetles wandering. They auto pick up all the poop around them so they are constantly weighed down. So just set them where you want, let them fill up for a second, and then set to wander and they will never move. They can act as your fertilizer storage area.
Build a cage and put them in the cage. It's a great way to just have them on display in one square of your choosing. Also since they slotcap themselves, they will quickly overweigh themselves and won't be able to move.. you could put wood or stone in them until then as well.
You dont need to put them on wandering anymore :) There is an option that allows them to collect poop and thats it. The level of the beatle matters, because the range of poop pickup is tied to its base mele+any extra points you put in mele later on.
i saw you got a toilet. havent caught up with the vids, so maybe you have it placed ? but if not thats an good way to get some actual fertelizer, and spoiled meat :) if you somehow missed that . love the series. cheers
I hate the dunes got jumped by a deathworm yesterday thankfully i was on my thyla and not my direwolf 😅 For the dungebeetles use the cage just put them in and close the door
Someone has to give the toilet as a gift for doing a game or something, a painted one would be better! Would have been useful for the crops too, but you did well without.
Strategy for kibble: don't bother. Just use mutton or prime, or crops if you actually want an herbivore.. which you don't. The amount of time you save by skipping kibble is ridiculous, and the amount of times you'll use it is almost none.
You can take some of the oil, the owner wanted to unlock it for just that purpose just to find that there is no lock on the pump anyways.
Syntac was the owner right?
24:12 Syntac put those up for everyone, he got those in a drop
was gonna comment the same
Those 2 oil rigs are syntacs and he said he's leaving unlocked for everyone to use 👍
Weigh the beetles down with rock, they'll collect, but they are too encumbered to move

13:03 that green Dodi looked like a green apple
Name Suggestions: Kangaroo- Nori, Dung beetles- Azcan, Stinky. Also, I love your videos and this series!
I like the beetle enclosure, but your beetles will collect so much poop that they will become overburdened rapidly and can be left basically wherever
just put down a hitching post and put the beetles on it. Then you can set them to wander and they won't get lost.
You also have an oil vein right next to the outpost! Jim left it untouched for you :P
Wierd time for an evo upload, but im here for it
enjoy!
It’s always a good time for an Evo video ❤

syntac built those oil pumps for all the boys

love the series. cheers
Syntic said he was leaving the oil unlocked so that everyone could acess it if they need oil.
It doesn't take too long for the dung beetles to weigh themselves down with poop. You're braver than me not having doors :)
I would put up some corner pillars and do a roof with like only a wall gap but thats just my paranoia that something will get in.
27:50 honestly I can’t even remember the last time I did that…
31:43 Jim put that one down. I think it’s cool they aren’t locked
35:08 Axe has a good female.
Why did I decide to watch this at dinner time eating chili
Call the kangaroo Thumper , dung beetles Gotpoo, and Stinker😂
I hate the dunes got jumped by a deathworm yesterday thankfully i was on my thyla and not my direwolf 😅

I really like this design!
DO you still need to put thatch on the Beatles for them to make poo and oil? And keep spoiled meat in the trough so that they can eat?
One of the beetles, Synpoop for sure.
Beetles will stay in a cage on wandering.
Yes! 2 videos in 24hrs!

Someone has to give the toilet as a gift for doing a game or something, a painted one would be better! Would have been useful for the crops too, but you did well without.
