At 3:59 note the lighter-colored ring around the boss, halfway between the boss and where the orbs spawn, that is not there during the first round of the rotation mechanic (3:24). This will slow you and do high amounts of damage, so you cannot use this middle area as your "running lane" in the second round. You can either collect orbs way far out at the distance where they spawn, or stay very close to the boss while you rotate and collect your orbs. Staying closer to the boss is preferred, since you only have to run a short distance between orbs, so it's more forgiving of mistakes and slower running. But all 8 of you don't all have to make the same choice, nor do you have to split evenly between close and far. (also do NOT tell your pugs this lol but on multiple occasions I've seen orbs go through and then we didn't wipe, so there may be some allowance that your group can miss one or two and it doesn't matter)

If no one is listening, you may also just be explaining it poorly. Just did it myself for the first time, and I pulled up the guide as I made it to the 3rd boss, watched 10-15 seconds then proceeded to explain the mechanics to the group. They messed up 2 times, then had it down. Just takes a decent explanation and maybe a few attempts for those that are slower. Also gotta remember, not everyone speaks or understands low detail lazy style of typing people often use with in-game messaging. So if you happen to be one of those, then of course people aren't gonna listen if they can't understand what you're saying. If you're not though, just try your best to clearly explain the mechanics. Everyone will appreciate it and it'll likely result in a fun clear with the group you get matched with.
@@Shikatsuyatsuke I explain it before hand and even expect wipes the first like 3 times but the group I was on just was not picking it up and we all voted to abandon the instance. Wiping is not the issue exactly but when nothing changes after explaining it again after each wipe even I get jaded.
I swear this dungeon is a disaster, no game should have wipe mechanics if you're playing with randoms. We explained the last boss about 5 times, and he alone took us about 50 minutes to kill, just because one person refused to listen.
This should be impossible to do with random people.. All it takes is one out of the eight people who won't know what to do, to wipe out the whole group.
Its devs fault, they create same failed ways to kill boses, because of this things ppl leave games, uninstall. The ppl wants to be able to cast skill and enjoy playing their builds as much as they can, and they cant because all the mmos copy this stupid strategy to wipe the group..., most of the mmos wich implemented this mechanics to kill boses, are dead.

Yeah, it's pretty bad. I think the dilemma about it comes from the potential issue that if the mechanics are reasonable enough to figure out without a guide, they become too easy once people know the mechanics, but if the mechanics are harder to figure out without a guide to make it more challenging once you do know about them, then they're going to feel awful the firs time round. That said, they still feel pretty problematic because if you don't know them you'll surely wipe a few times and if you do know them they border on easy to somewhat bothersome.

I am sure with some routine this might be getting easier but the high pacing the amount of the effects from the boss as well as your team mates does make this a very hard experience in my opinion.
@@Zanmatou it’s definitely a filter/wall that many players won’t get past.

THANKS YOUR INFO IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR ME. I ALWAYS DEAD BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW
this easiest to understand than other video same guide about Tranquil Karkosa mecha guide, English bad, don't understand what they are talking about lol thx man, did u got full mecha other dungeon? i think ill watch ur guide all lol
Another great guide!
Can anyone please tell me what he is saying at 0:52. His pronunciation is really hard to understand. My party got really irritated with me because you failed to mention the damage ring on the second wipe gimick for the third boss so thanks for that. It's really not something that should be left out. TBH it just looks like part of the animation for the gimick and is really hard to tell you need to avoid it.
Thanks to your guide a group of us just did this with only 3 wipes on the last boss, everything else went smoothly. Thanks ill use your guides again!
usually ur guides are great but this left out some good info like optimal place to stand for orb collection and the enemy aoe on second orb phase. Ruining a lot of runs
should've completed this a long time ago, need to get it done so I can do the next for the 15th giant heart and there's not enough players in matchmaking for the raid to start
killing the third boss is nearly impossible with strangers and beginners who do not even understand how their char works
just taught all of this over chat to 7 ppl only for one of them to go afk on the last boss :D
I hate these t1/t2 raids cause learning the mechanics feels like such a time waste you will do them 1 or 2 times and thats it lol
Ok am I blind or what? 3rd boss you say consume a ball and rotate, all I c you are doing is rotating. Not one orb/ball came at you. Could you elaborate please. I have not done this dungeon yet.
oh cmon, this is just sadistic... I have ZERO fun in abyss dungeons. Just did Sea of Indolence because of new quest line demads it, and I thought that was it. But no, now the quest line demands this s**t? No freaking way. Maybe with item level 5000 someday later when its on 1 hit kill before all this maddnes even start.
Anyway thanks for video, you spared me some nerves.
Had one soso wipe grp after 4 attempts I did well I think but looked like we had a bot in grp.
2nd grp ppl afk.
3rd grp we owned it.
TY for great guide :D
I think this Abyssal might be the end of progression for me... Was hoping I could go further in the game with just solo/ matchmaking, but this seems way too rough to pug... Guess I'm a chaos dungeon only player from now on.
You'll be fine.. took me 13 wipes to complete
Don't give up man
i feel you
yeah fuck this shit
I feel you there, the last set of abyssal raids were super fun then i see this lol
Yay I can't wait for another 8 player dungeon where people die to the same thing over and over again without listening at all.
Wiping is not the issue exactly but when nothing changes after explaining it again after each wipe even I get jaded.
ty
youre the goat bro
I swear this dungeon is a disaster, no game should have wipe mechanics if you're playing with randoms. We explained the last boss about 5 times, and he alone took us about 50 minutes to kill, just because one person refused to listen.
thanks for this guide, wish i had friends.
man this sounds like a nightmare
This sounds very not fun. The party wipe stuff just sucks. I need to stop playing this game.
@@AparatorulPoporului I agree my friend. The main purpose of gaming is to have fun and enjoy your character. These kind of mechanics are anti fun. There shouldn't be so many "one mistake wipe" mechanics in the game.
i've been trying to pug this, and it's horrible. No one seems to understand nor care about the mechanics, and it's absolutely impossible
This is why being able to see the dislikes is so important, because if I didn't see them I would not have scrolled down to the comments to see the better strat for the third boss.
Ok if anyone says that the explanation during the dungeon is good enough... please quit. This is terrible game design... I mean the design is good, but the lack of explanation during the game is fucking terrible.
~If your game require you to go out of the game to understand something it's terrible game design...
OMG - this is guna be the 1st PAINNN to pug
when u are saying anchor and pistol? r u pointing at the boss or the status bar?i cant see any anchor and pistol that u r talking about
look at the boss
should be a requirement for NA players to watch your vids before being allowed to attempt abyss.....trap runs all day every day
Can you just say "when he does this, stagger him" instead of explaining that you shouldnt have to explain stagger mechanics. It would be faster.
Lmao yet you had enough time to write this
this is going to be fun in matchmaking..
oh goody cant wait to do it with an 8 man pug
nice vid
You deserve more subs dude! I bet you'll blow up when more people hit t2 content. Keep it up :D
The ball explanation was very confusing
the 3rd boss is gonna break me as a solo-queue person whose friends are stuck in T1 :( anyone know an active discord? hate how we we cant replay abyss dungeons after clearing weekly
Plz dont skip a mechanic that i should already know
A lot of ppl wont understand the english in the stagger part
you made me scare thiss boss but it was easy. u should be close to the boss when taking the second set of orbs
nice
Nice explanation
your 2nd rotation was confusing. 1st spot: 1 ball. 2nd spot: 1 ball, 3rd spot: 2 balls, 4th spot, 1 ball
Just did this, it's actually 3 rotate -> stop -> rotate for 3rd boss
You only rotate twice before you hold off. 1st orb, then rotate for 2nd orb, then rotate for 3rd and hold for an orb. If you’re doing it right it should be rotate, rotate, stay, rotate
@@hobogoat2 I've done it probably more times than you and it's rotate 3, stop 1, rotate again
Pistol attack? What’s he saying I don’t see any blue light?
He also says Pissa attack :)
this guide was awsome untill 3:14 i have no fucking idea what he said. Got conserned and had to look for a different guide. I'm sorry. But you seem to be legit thumbs up!
Can someone explain to me what staggering means please?
Some of your attacks do stagger damage, if you check your skills it can say "stagger: Mid-high" For example. During a stagger check you have to basically use all your stagger skills so the boss gets immobilized
@@MaZFX so staggering is basically just trying to do as much damage as possible when the boss is ccd?
@@MaZFX or does staggering mean that your ccing the boss
@@MidnightGrabber To stagger means you make him less mobile, some of your attacks inflict stagger on the boss and you need to deplete the meter to get him into this phase
i caused so many wipes because of this raid lmaooo
When the short versions start to have 5 minutes of explanation, you know it's about to hit the fan really bad
Ngl, I hate this guide. Misses some critical details like needing to use weakpoint skills to break the magician shields. Going to stop reading these and just go to maxroll.
Third boss is completley wrong and he needs to either edit this video or take it down. The amount of arguements I've got into people trying to do the third mechanic as they're telling me to watch a guide and this guy has explained it wrong!
Are you going to elaborate on what was explained incorrectly and what you believe is correct?
@@Kuolitee I'll quote another user
"Just so you know you are doing the mechanic somewhat wrong. You're supposed to stay near the boss in the white pentagon thing he spawns. The balls then come to you. If you stay outside like you do, thunders come out and sometimes stun a person which can lead to wipe.
"
@@Greendore Thx. Good to know
