As a German, growing up where "potato pancake" (Reibekuchen) are a stable of local cuisine, it is weird seeing them so thick 😳 😅 and calling them pancakes always triggers my wife 🙈 And as preparation for our upcoming visit, this Video is an essential help for us. I lived in Germany for 3 years…I loved them over there. And I really need the Germany pavillion to have speghetti eis. Yum! I can make something similar at home, but it isn’t as good as it was in Germany.

Love this video, Molly. The regular cheese arepa doesn’t have any jalapeño or spice because traditional Colombian dishes don’t include spices like that. It’s a misconception that the majority of Latin food is spicy. Arepas de queso are usually a little bland but they’re still a great snack.

Hey Molly! Soju isn't actually vodka! It's a Korean rice liquor, just like sake. It's distilled differently, so it's stronger, but still only around 18-20% :) Enjoy the festival!
So I found out that this is actually sochu (not sure if I spelled this right) not soju (which I LOVE) because sochu is the Japanese version. Found this out at morimotos.

TOTALLY remember Peter on top of the UK buildings. I have pics! I loved it because it was so unique compared to the others that are just scattered around the planters and lawns. I was disappointed when Peter moved back down.

Omg I KNEW PETER WAS ON YHE ROOF!!! our first family trip wad in 2013 . A few yesrs later we're snackin around the world and my husband was giving me a look like i was mad. PETER WAS ON THE ROOF MOLLY SAID SO!!
I miss the old REAL looking topiaries , grown from one bush or small tree . These recent ones are nice but they don’t have the same original look or cuteness to them . Also , I miss the fairly low crowds that the first few years of the festival had . I am lucky to have those special memories of all of those things 😊
