    You never know what you might hook into on the Niagara River below the falls . especially throwing spinners and swim baits hot place to fish.

    Hey Ivo, did something happen to your reel’s handle? If I’m not mistaken that’s the pflueger president reel? And it usually has like a wooden knob on it?

      LOL - Handle fell off first day I used the reel and it dropped into the water :)

    seems the folks behind you are not liking that you are catching fish and they are not. Did you push your spinner on them???

  • @craigstockton3103
    @craigstockton3103 3 роки тому

    I would really us siwash hooks for catch and release and also for less snagging issues. I will have to try and find these lures.

    • @thundermistlures
      @thundermistlures  2 роки тому

      ...stay tuned because later this year, the Stingeye spinner will be available with a single hook - not sure exactly when, but they will eventually be here :)

  • @OhGodisaLiar
    @OhGodisaLiar 4 роки тому

    Hi, Ivo. I'm new to your channel and had just ordered 3 Stingeyes. I have a question - how come you don't put a Single hooks on your Sting eyes for catch release?

    • @thundermistlures
      @thundermistlures  4 роки тому

      ...maybe someday we will - but it gets difficult with different sizes and minimum quantities and lead times :)

  • @ManiGreenwoood

    Just let me know. Okay, where can I buy some of the Sting eye size 6 lure

    • @thundermistlures
      @thundermistlures  2 місяці тому +1

      if your local store does not have the size 6 Stingeye Spinners, then the best alternative is to order from the Thundermist Lure Company website, online. Good luck on the water

    Hey Ivo was wondering.... do you bottom bounce the pool? I always see you running spinners there in your videos.

    • @thundermistlures
      @thundermistlures  5 років тому

      I prefer to use spinners as there are a lot of snags when bottom bouncing the pool, however, i do also still bottom bounce there :)

    I tried the spinner at Niagara river and it keeps getting stuck in rocks.. and techniques that I can utilize to prevent that from happening?

    • @thundermistlures
      @thundermistlures  4 роки тому

      it is best to count down the number of seconds it takes for your lure to hit bottom, then, just make sure you do not let it sink that long. ie. if it takes 10 seconds to hit bottom, then start your retrieve after 7 or 8 seconds, which will keep you close to the bottom/strike zone, but yet, out of snags :)

    Ivo, great video as always! I love watching your videos! Quick question, I was wondering if you could tell me what power/action rod you're using? I'm heading to Buffalo next week so I want to get some intel for the local waters :)
    Thanks again! Tight lines!

    • @thundermistlures
      @thundermistlures  3 роки тому

      It's a reaction bite - the gamefish just instinctively key in on the eye and bite/strike :)
