Green Berret are similar to Para SF. Seals are more close to Marcos. Marcos and Navy Seals usually don't operate in high altitudes, it's Para SF's job.

I met some ROK UDT/Seals a few years ago when I was in Seoul for a semester. They were all well trained and very professional.
MARCOS's tactical gears and the uniform looks awesome. A blend of perfect contrast of colours!

You don't have to know about them anyways but, if by chance you ever come across the ops which MARCOS and our PARA SFs have carried out, I fear you won't be able to process that in your brain. The special forces are best in their business. Guys ranking them in the comment section are stupid . It's the tactics and decision in the right place that takes the spot . For Maritime Vessel based missions , I reckon the Marcos have a "better" camo , suited for their environment

@@ArashiKageTaro The Marcos are not considered Tier-1 via any standards other than Equipment. SOF are Tier-1 , SF are Tier-2 . The roles of SOF are lesser and more distinct than SF . Special Group to some extent can be considered Tier-1 . But they're a paramilitary Intel and Action unit . India as such has no ranking system of tiers .
@black cats I didnt want to bring the Tier based ranking system of US . I Never brought eliteness into this but dedicated roles . About the Funding part , not so sure since most of it is classified . But due to recent developments in the Navy , I pressume it has surpassed its counter parts in technology , funding and systematic and orginased development . Tier system was brought by the JSOCs to determine . SG is comparable to CIA SAC to some extent .
The reason why I called it paramilitary is that does not fall under the command of military rather recruits from it . I didnt call it CAPF ( since they fall under MHA). Assam rifles are considered Paramilitary unit . I didnt believe in the SOF differing from SF ideology either . Since you brought it out , I had to differentiate .
I believe that AFSOD is somewhat a farce , Ive never seen any unification of gear between these units other than in exercises maybe . When Para SF moved on from Regular tavor to Flattop Tavor , the same didnt happen in navy . Instead in a recent picture its been shown that they poses X95 flattops . When Marcos bought helmets with BNVDs it wasnt divided among the other wing . Same goss for Garuds procuring Helmet mounted Quad NODs from MKU yet not unified . I'm proud of Marcos since they have a new unified command with SF Cell unified with its own regiment . It was formed last year . They were the first ones to actually standardize NATO based SOF gear . Safariland comtacs , intruder parachute system , Armasen Plate carriers , NavAID parachuting GPS etc . Meanwhile Para is stil lagging

People claiming their country special forces is best and superior to their counterparts is big joke. If they are being called special forces then there something in this men that make them special wheather it's from india, us, Japan or Korea. So don't compare them they are best in their business that why we call them special force.
The men are equal and so is the equipment. The question is if the tactics employed are as good.

They are SimMuntions. It is propelled by gun powder and the actual round is similar to what a paint ball round would look like. Getting hit by one is just like a paint ball round but it hurts enough to give you a nice welt 😉

the german "SOF" taking part here in this video is only classified as a "specialised forces" not "special forces" and therefore only are a T2 unit in comparison with the other present units
i was about to say, i don't think the boarding units are special forces.
Speaks for the quality of their training if T2s can train with T1s without issues.
The terms "Tier 1" and "Tier 2" are specific to the US Army. In Germany, the terms "special unit" and "specialized operational forces" are used. It's important to note that during this exercise, no US Tier 1 unit was involved. Many people often overlook that the Navy Seals are a Tier 2 unit. The Korean UDT/SEALs might not be precisely on the same level as the Navy Seals. Regarding other units, I can't judge accurately, but they might be similar. Thus, using the Tier definition, it was an exercise among Tier 2 Special Operations Forces (SOFs). Tier 1 units are referred to as Special Missions Units (SMU), like the German KSK, KSM, and Hubschraubergeschwader 64 or American units such as DEVGRU, Delta Force, ISA, and the 24th Special Tactics Squadron.
