@Josh Lum Oh OK, thanks for that information. Do you personally also Speak Mandarin? Are you from China by chance? Languages are so interesting. My wife is from Philippines, so (in addition to English), she also Knows 4 Filipino languages, and each one of those are completely different from each other. Of course everyone in Philippines understands Tagalog, the main language, but there are also some regional ones that some people also Speak.
Hsieh is so fun to watch and has way more power than people give her credit for she hits a very flat ball. So under appreciated hoping she can beat Osaka with her cool style
Lolz, not gonna happen. Osaka played similar player earlier in Jabeur and with her great coach she now possesses enough data to annihilate her. There is no player that will beat this version of Naomi on hard courts. I am afraid this is the end of the road for Hsiseh.
How do you not love her. She is warm and endearing and a tricky player. She is funny and honest. She has all the tools to win. How can you not root for her.
Beautiful attitude. Tough one coming up against Osaka. Love both players and very contrasting styles but hope she wins and goes all the way. My best wishes.
She will give Osaka a run for her money. All there matches are close she has beaten Osaka on a hard court and she has played great players Bianca, vondrousva, pironkova. She’s in great form
She's a very good role model and true enough I don't remember ever seeing her throw tantrums on court. Very refreshing to see and I hope she continues playing injury-free for the years to come.

These reporters will never dare to talk like that against some superstar players. They see a nice person, and then randomly ask anything shutting their brain off.
Agree 100%; I’ve seen her practice in doubles back then and she was hitting with really high intensity and power. Just because she doesn’t hit like Sabalenka doesn’t mean she has no power. She has the power to redirect well with her variety of shots and quick thinking on the court. And she hits flat as well which makes it hard to guess where she is hitting. What a dumb question by that journalist.
I honestly can't think of anyone with a similar style. It's like a sprinkling of Santoro, Radwanska and Mecir Sr. But the main ingredient is Hseih. I'm a big fan
It sounded like she was trying to say that when the incident took place, she didn't recognize it as bullying, that she only came to that realization later on. I'm glad looking back on it she was able to correctly understand that episode, I mean, if you ask me, I'd say what they did to her was downright abusive.
Wishing Su Wei all the best and hope she will win...She is the only player on the circuit whom people watch over and again am sure...I do every time I see a video featuring her....
I hope she can do interviews in her own language and have her answers translated into English. I believe she has so much more to say and can articulate what she really means in Chinese. She is still adorable and inspiring though.
The TV commentators never talk about her success as a doubles champion. Her press conferences are refreshing. I hope she writes a biography. Sounds like she has been through a lot.
No power to excel at top level really? That journalist is shit quality. She is no.1 doubles player in the world and has won multiple grand slams and premier titles already.
Yes at 1:06 I was aghast at that question! Obviously that's mostly coming from the journalist that Hsieh has no power, belittling Hsieh Su Wei, and wanted to find some "back up" to her prejudiced opinion. She should be thrown out of the press room!
Su-Wei has a great attitude, enjoys problem-solving and she's totally unpredictable. The next match will be highly problematic for Naomi and very entertaining for us fans!
How on Earth does she not know her power isn’t strong like the others? LOL. I think her serve has gotten better this year than in the past. Her stance looks better and speed slightly improved but still much weaker than the strong players that are serving 100+ miles per hour. She’s still one of my favorites to watch though.
It's true - she doesn't have the power to succeed as in win Masters and maybe Slams. She doesn't spin the ball like most players do. The style she plays would be called low percentage shots. However her talent in anticipation, point construction and ability to hit flat and not miss (while changing direction, angle and speed) makes up for lack of power. Her style is not "text book". For the lack of formal training she doesn't have proper footwork or serve. She is a self-taught world number one. She is a club player who made it to the big stage through hard work, great talent and positive nature. Great job. It's not most spectacular style, but all things considered it's impressive. It shows that system is not entirely corrupt by money, anybody can make it through having enough talent and skill and hard work.
