Barry, thank you so much for posting this clip. My daddy Des Moylan is very clearly shown on it and it is the only video footage we have of him. Thank you
It is great that you "preserved" this by uploading to UA-cam. My father competed later (1961 I believe - any photos or film of that year?). Now I understand a bit better an important part of his past.

Fantastic Barry. This is gold. Great to see so many "survivors" at the showing in Dun Laoghaire in the summer.
Barry, this is fascinating and so vital to bring the memories back to life for the families and friends of all involved.
Well done Barry. Great footage & insight into events & activities in Dun Laoghaire in days gone by.
That’s my Dad smoking that ridiculous cigar! He won the race in the 50s. He truly loved cycling and the social life it gave him too.

I bought my first bike in Sleiths in 1968 good to see the van in the reel
this is superb. Really enjoyed it. Shame that for copyright reason, I presume, the Queen song Bicycle race could be used or the piece by Yellowfins.
Thanks Maurice , yeah your right about the Music , I could have done a lot better but as you say the licensing is a bit of a problem.
