  • When I was young, me and Dad this was a few years before he passed we were coming up out of Dallas and there was a storm blowing through. It was dark in Little Rock, Arkansas. There was a tornado that touched down and tore up the airport. The tornado cut in front of us, and it was dark. We had a load of hay bales on a flat, so the load was light. But it was a mile out before we got to that marker. We missed the tornado by a hair. It cut across the freeway to the other side. Then, when I was a little kid, Dad took me and my mom with him, and we got caught in that hurricane that hit the East Coast, that spread as far as Ohio. I think it was Irene or something. Well, anyways, Dad drove like hell to get us out of it. And then, me and Dad took a load down to Lone Star in dead set winter. Well, down south at the time, they didn't have salt, so they used sand. There were accidents backed up for miles. Even the National Guard was out there. It was bad.
