I was considering getting this. I've seen a few ads for it in magazines and just online but all the advertisements say "High Carbon Steel" but if you are telling me it's stainless then you saved me $119, thank you!

@kaseymalec6194 it is advertised as a forgable CrV...stainless. it's bizzare as it is forgave, but lacks the forgiveness of en45, 1066, etc.

So many companies use the term "high carbon" in reference to stainless. It is complete nonsense.

I don't think this one is quite for me, but this one is an interesting design. For someone who wants a self-defense option and doesn't have access to a firearm, this could be a formidable weapon.

I don’t think Honshu does anything except Chinese stainless steel right now. They used to have a couple of models in D2.

Hey, THANKS for saying don't do heavey cutting with stainless! I've broken 1 (Gerber) machete and one stainless kukri...not a stainless fan.
