Thanks for your comment! I'm so happy you commented on being there for this was a special jam. Goose played late that night according to the lineup. Have you been to other festivals besides Hullaween? I have not and was curious to which festival is best and why. But, that depends on the lineup etc. Just wondering what you thought?

This is two bands playing together. Goose and String Cheese Incident. SCI has been together scene the 90s, and Goose has been around at least a decade. In this configuration, Goose is about 6 or 7 years old. Relative to the Grateful Dead, all Jam bands are young though, right?!

This is such fun! I'm so bummed I didn't get to go! There's two heavy bromances going on in the percussion and keyboard sections! What a great time for music when musicians can share the stage and play so fluidity together. They literally seem to be playing as one seasoned band. Why can't the rest of the world work like this?

@@mikegoetz3184I’ve realized that goose is a lot of improv to solo, not so much a group groove kind of thing, everyone’s either playing for Rick or for Peter, not everyone playing for and around each other as much. They definitely have moments of that kind of phish level cohesion, but mainly it’s a lot of guitar solo for the sake of soloing.
However, I don’t think it’s bad in any way. You aren’t going to get what you get with a phish jam per se but that doesn’t mean it’s any better or worse, it’s fundamentally different. Goose has a lot of big realeases which makes for a really high energy show throughout the jams as well. Phish and the dead you feel more spaced out but goose keeps you in it in a way and I think it’s really great in addition to listening to some of the other jam goats.
