My husband and I were traveling to his cancer treatment and this song came on and he grabbed my hand and told me that this song was written for us. He passed away from cancer shortly later, and I cry and smile at the same time every time I hear this song. Thank you Chris for such a beautiful and heart felt song.
My condolences to you and your family. I'm one of the lucky ones I survived cancer but so many people don't. The song made me appreciate the people who love me even more and I can imagine it made your husband feel the same way. God bless you and your family losing someone so dear to your heart is well just 💔

I can still hear his voice, his quiet and simple way of offering his advice! I didn't always listen to his counsel but I hear the song and I'm reminded in nearly every verse that it's never to late to hear that wisdom again! Thank you for so many great songs over the years! Especially Voices and The Man I Want to Be my two all time favorite songs from you! Keep putting it out there I know I will always be listening.

This is one of those songs that I've heard on the radio several times over the years with virtually no effect on me, but for some reason, it hit me like a MACK truck tonight. It just really made me appreciate my wife and the sacrifices she's made for our marriage. I may be a stubborn SOB at times but ultimately, I am so thankful for her influence in my life. Without her, I wouldn't be the man I am today.

This is not joke. Please hear me out.
I had never heard of this song before. Last night I was dreaming, I was seating at an unknown place. I can't remember the details, but it was like in a garden of flowers arrangements. That place is quite peaceful.
I don't know how I end up seating at that place. A fraction of the memories shows that I was just finished having conversation with my friend and he was going to leave that place while I choose to stay.
As my friend walking away, he told me that his favourite song is "Vacancy" by Kylee, than I reply "Hey I like that song too. One of my fav songs"
When he already disappeared from that place, suddenly I just realized there were a couple of friends that are having a chit chat at a medium-sized round table nearby. Not far, close enough that I could reach them by my hand. One girl and another person was unidentified (maybe I lost that fraction of memory).
She, who I don't know who, was seating facing opposite of me. Initially our backs are facing each other. And suddenly she turn back, give me one of her earbuds for me to listen to her currently played song on her device.
I thought she want to tell me that she also like "Vacancy" but turned out a different song I had never heard. But I felt happy and enjoy the song.
I asked her
"Hey very good song. I love it. What is the song title?"
She replied
"Who I am with you"
while only facing me only half left side of her body,seating on a chair which is facing away from my table.
Who is she? Why she was there at the flower garden? And more importantly, why she want me to listen to that particular song?
As I about to approach her so that I can take a good look of who is she and asking these questions.. I was forced to wake up from my sleep. Bam. I opened my eyes. Just a blink of event. Quick change of vision. No process at all. Just.. that event, 'snap' and woke up.
I don't waste my time. The memory is still lingering, I opened UA-cam and search that song title. Yes, there is actually a song with that exact title.

As I wrote this comment, that dream ended around 30 minutes ago. 11th March 2019, 0450-0455 Hrs, Japan time. I am Malaysian, currently internship in Japan and will soon went back to my hometown around 5 weeks from now.

When my wife in I got together in June of 2014 I heard this song and played it for her and I knew this was exactly how I felt about her. 9 years later this song means even more to me when I think of her and realize it fits us perfectly. The Man I Want To Be and Who I Am With You are two songs that say a LOT of things! I can understand how a lot of people could apply them to their situations but I feel they apply to mine and my love's point in life quite befittingly! He knows who he needs to become to be who I need and he knows what I help him to be when we are together. He calls me his rock and at times he is mine. The hardest thing is getting past our "past" we are past it but it's those around us that make it hard to pick up and leave it there and know it helped us grow and become stronger! While they all see that and that only and can't seem to forget nor forgive when there is no love lost between us. Prayer and talking have become a way of life and we have always shared everything with each other. Through these two things and his continued work to make his life better where we can be in a place to mutually support each other and not one of us do more of the work at making things work I have faith he can become The Man He Wants To Be! I can't give up on him until the Lord tells me that's all he can give and that is as good as it gets. Until that day I will love him and support him as he supports me! Thanks for a song that helped to bring us back together just over a year ago!

I can definitely relate to this song, my wife showed me a better way to live. I'm just an old rough neck, the oilfield and past relationships made me pretty rough around the edges until she came along. Funny part is my mom used to be my wife's babysitter. I dated my wife 7 year's ago and chose the oilfield over her. I was injured out in Oklahoma and was forced to come home. We bumped into each other and something clicked. I can't imagine my life without her in it. I love who I am with her. Our first year wedding anniversary is almost here and I can't believe how much she's made me change and grow up. True love is a powerful thing
