    This video, today, is showing *lack of security* and *bad approach* at resellerclub. Letsencrypt free certificates exist and letsencrypt could be used to automatically generate and deploy certs for all reseller host names pointing to reseller club servers. reseller club did not implement this. Also there is no automated way (API) to deploy certs. Basically it's all *bad*.

    I have added the domain in the supersite 2. Now facing problem on updating NS record and DNS. Should I purchase a server to launch my Domain and than update A record or it can be done directly in your panel.

    what to do if the verification is done by adding CNAME process? I have added the CNAME and now I am getting a option of "View certificate details". What's next?

    Thank you for that tutorial video. :) Are you planning on implementing Lets Encrypt SSL certificates as some sort of fallback option in case there is no paid SSL cert for a fully branded URL? In addition to partially branded URLs I mean, which would of course be an option as well.

      Hi ceagle22, glad you like the video! You can install the Let's Encrypt free SSL. You can refer to our guide here-drive.google.com/file/d/1ox9qLzO5GWDfkMQWg_T_UlM73wIjgpcZ/view. Let us know if you have further queries!

      Thank you for your suggestion. :) Yes, this works if the used URL resolves to an IP address where the acme-challenge can be placed. So, in order to use it on SuperSite/PartnerSite etc., you'd have to copy the cert afterwards and change the A-record of your URL to SuperSite/PartnerSite. And whenever the cert is about to expire (every 3 months), you'd have to change the A-record back to a Non-SuperSite/PartnerSite-IP, and so on...
      So my question was ultimately meant as: might this process eventually become fully automated from your end in regards to SuperSite, PartnerSite etc.? Like the way it is in Plesk, Froxlor etc. nowadays, where you just click a button or set a tickmark (to activate LetsEncrypt for a single (sub)domain) and everything beyond that is completely automated for the rest of eternity.
      Even though you'd probably have to deal with those nasty weekly rate limits.

    • @ResellerClubMumbai
      @ResellerClubMumbai  6 років тому

      Hi ceagle22,
      You do not need to change the A record when your certificate expires. You will only need to reissue the certificate at the end of 3 months, by going to zerossl.com/free-ssl/#crt and uploading a newly generated CSR and Private Key. Unfortunately, as of now, we cannot automate this process. If you can share your RID with us, we can talk to you more about this issue.

    Can i use a lets encrypt SSL for Superside and partner site URL? instead of buying from comodo?

    • @ResellerClubMumbai
      @ResellerClubMumbai  6 років тому

      Hi Edwin, yes you can use a Let's Encrypt SSL for the SuperSite and PartnerSite. However, you will have to keep renewing it every 90 days. The Comodo SSL certificate will be valid for at 1/2 years depending on what you choose.

      i have question on how to let the lets encrypt to read the file inside?
      the acme challenge or do you have any sample tutorial?

    • @ResellerClubMumbai
      @ResellerClubMumbai  6 років тому

      Hi Edwin,
      There are 2 options to complete the domain verification
      process for the Let’s Encrypt certificate:
      1. HTTP Verification - In this process you need to upload
      the code provided by the Let’s encrypt CA on your hosting package. Now while
      generating the certificate issued, it will first resolve the code and check it.
      If it is able to resolve the code, the certificate will be issued.
      2. Domain Verification: In this process you are provided
      with a set of TXT records that need to be added in the current DNS zone of the
      domain name. Once the records are added, please wait for 4-6 hours post which
      the domain verification will be completed.
      In order to install the Let’s Encrypt certificate on your SuperSite,
      you will have to use option 2 and complete the verification process.
      You can also use this third-party tool to get the Let’s Encrypt
      certificate issued. You can check -zerossl.com

    The certificate should be on auto renewal instead of modifying the record and issuing a new certificate.

    What if I am not using default DNS and using a hosting provider, do I need to Pass the Certificate, Key, and bundle to hosting provider as to upload on the server?

    • @ResellerClubMumbai
      @ResellerClubMumbai  6 років тому

      Hi Zahid, using a different DNS zone will have no impact on the certificate installation. The certificate will need to be generated and installed in OrderBox regardless of the DNS zone. You will have to generate the CSR and private key from the SSL Manager panel provided with OrderBox and once the certificate is issued, proceed with the installation of the certificate and CA bundle within the same panel.

    While uploading files in the SSL Manager it asks for CA bundle which i did not get in letsencrypt. How do I get CA bundle?

    • @ResellerClubMumbai
      @ResellerClubMumbai  6 років тому

      Hi Arif, can you tell us how you tried generating the certificate in Let's Encrypt? The certificate file issued by Lets encrypt contains 2 files - the first file is the certificate and the second one will be the CA bundle. You can refer to this free online tool by Zero SSL (zerossl.com/free-ssl/#crt ) to get this done easily. Please let us know if you need more assistance.

    The only reason that I have trouble following this tutorial is that the naration is so sparse. You don't mention that I have to wait for an email and then will have to go back into it. Sometimes, things are very unspecific (especially links, or the locations of menu items). Why are your menus such a mess in the first place? There should be a "Reseller" or "Branding" main menu item. "Settings" should have to do with my profile or my account, not the store specifically. You never warn me that the CA Bundle is actually requiring me to copy and paste 3 files (not just the one). EVERY OTHER RESELLER HOSTING PROGRAM I AM ON DOESN'T REQUIRE ME TO DO THIS, it is all very streamlined, I hit a button, fill out some basic info, submit and verify via email or phone call. That's it! Why do you charge extra instead of streamlining it for everyone?

      Hi Francisco, the verification email is received on the email address mentioned while issuing the SSL.
      You can create and use any one of the predefined emails as your verification email or the admin email address for the domain name to receive the verification email.
