Yup, I just had a rim rust through too... Turns out Dorman makes replacement rims now. Rims rusting out is new to me too... Like the old timers used to say... "that never happened in the old days". I've only been fixing cars for 50 years now... so maybe I'm an old timer too now... The more things change, the more they stay the same.
It’s quaint compared to modern machines, but the first one we had was so old it was cable drive and air over hydraulic with whale sperm as hydraulic fluid…don’t ask how they got it. lol
I've seen wheels rusted worse than that in less than 2 years. In the south of all places it can happen! Dogs or cats pissing on the wheels. Don't take long, these wheels were leaking air! Yeap new wheels is the only solution.
@@rievenailo I won’t dox them…but when he told me who it was I wasn’t surprised. They’ve been that way for the thirty years I’ve been in the area so it’s definitely not one bad apple.

He has driven that truck in salt water. All of that rust is his fault.
If I ran that tire shop I'd be firing some people. Letting that safety issue leave meant letting their reputation along with more money leave.
