Hi guys! I passed last year’s UPCAT. I got in UP Manila. My only tip for you guys is to relax 😃 when I got tensed during the test, I told myself to breathe then eventually I was back on track. here’s my ranking of difficulty among the subtests (1 as the hardest): 1. Math (halos same lang ng level ng ACET pero mas fun sa UPCAT) 2. Reading Comp (it was fun to read every selection. Was able to read twice pa kasi sobrang haba ng time tbh 1 and 30 minutes) 3. Language Prof (pero the Filipino portion was outta this world) 4. Science (sobrang common sense lang mga ka-potensyal kahit hindi ako from STEM, saks naman) don’t forget to enjoy! masaya ang UPCAT and I won’t spoil you with what’s coming. lily q to tell you honestly, basic lang ang math for UPCAT. More on Algebra and Geometry lang. During our time, puro triangles lang and TRANSVERSAL LINES (as in if u have mastered transversal lines, u’re good na). Also, trigo was just soh cah toa. I was expecting more pero ‘yun lang talaga. Other things to be mentioned: Sequences, Age-Work problems, basic calculus (mga 2 questions lang and definition lang halos), word problems in unions, business math, central tendencies (ungrouped), logic, and etc. Questions have four choices pero two of them are related, then the other two are also related to each other pero out of this world FOR REAL. Pero do not be complacent, baka biglain kayo ng UPCAT this year. Pero one thing for sure, walang tagalized sa Math.

Hi!! Isa ako sa mga nag UPCAT 2019 hehe. To tell you honestly, di talaga ako nagreview. Like sumali ako da groups then minsan may nagtatanong then nagsasagot ako. Yun lang talaga. Wala akong ibang type of review. Yung mga kabatch ko, nagreview center or brain train. Pero ako? Wala enjoy life hahaha. Tapos medyo na-late pa ko sa testing center kasi Intrams namin nun besh, lutang pa utak ko kasi iniisip ko yung sport ko. Buti na lang medyo matagal sila papasukin 😂 so ayun tapos dahil nga di ako nag review, wala din practice besh! Nagulat ako sa oras teh. Kakastart ko pa lang, maya maya may naka flip boar chorva sa unahan, nakalagay 10 mins na lang wtf? Tapos yung math at science ko, bente ata walang sagot. Ayoko manchamba hahaha. Oo nga pala po, pag walang sagot, hindi sya considered right or wrong so walang minus pag wala sagot. So ayon nga, afte UPCAT, lagas utak ko, isipin nyo hinalungkat ko on the spot yung stock knowledge ko from JHS. Wala talaga akong pag asa nung time na yun. Sabi ko nga, if ever makapasa man ako, sobrang himala na talaga. Tapos April 1 came, late ako nagising tapos paggising ko, nagchat sakin yung friend ko na congrats daw kasi I passed UPCAT. Eh April 1, so April fools day dibaa? Hanggang sa pati sa GC namin sabi I passed dawww!! Sobrang naiyak ako teh! Di ko naexpect. I'm so overwhelmed. Then yuuun! Totoo nga, naconfirm ko nung pumunta ako dun sa site. Effort pa ko pagpapaload ha? Now, I'm incoming freshie na sa UPLB 😍 Feeling ko, malaking advantage ko yung matataas kong grades (well not super taas naman) ng hs. Atsaka besh, may nastock talaga akong knowledge. Masipag kasi ako makinig sa teachers. Tamad lang magnotes tsaka magreview. Pero trust me, pag nakinig ka talaga, kahit mag scan ka lang ng konti, you'll survive. Goodluck and God bless sa atin! I will reveal something a big secret. Once done na result you will receive your UPG the letter. Pag di ka pumasa at ang UPG mo eh 3.5 pataas what I mean 1-2.5 ang normal passing sa UP eh. So between 3.5 to 2.75 pwede ka gumawa ng consideration letter to enter UP. This is not a joke as Ive worked as Student Asst sa Univ Reg ng UP. Pero make sure you will choose non quota and not so popular course. Another tip go to UPM, UP Clark, UP Baguio, UP Cebu and UP Davao. Kasi unti ang kalaban for the consideration. Pwede naman to try it sa UPD, UPV and UPLB pero maliit chance kasi madami din meron kilala. Basta message me na lang to help and give you tips. Kasi andami ko na din help na family friends 10 na sila infairness pasok naman.
Alli Lenchico sa email po ba marereceive next year ang UPG or hihingin sa UP Admission? And pag po ba magpaparecon, ibigsabihin hindi na first choice mo ang pwede mong kuhanin na course?
Haha aba syempre hindi mo makukuha yung first choice. Kasi hindi ka nga technically nakapasa. Maghanap ka ng course na madali para makakuha ka ng mataas na grades then next year makashift ka. Fyi there are some courses na hindi talaga tumatanggap ng shiftees sa UPD College of Business Ad wala talaga chance lalo na sa Accounting. Same also sa Triple E ng College of Engineering. Sa UP Manila naman eh College of Rehab so PT, OT and Speech Path wala din yan and Public Health. Ayan andami ko na tips ha. Tama na mangarap if di nakapasa if makapasok ka via reconsideration grab it any course para makapasok ka sa UP even ano pang campus.
Alli Lenchico ask ko lng di kc nkaabot ng UPCAT ang anak ko sa UP diliman, tapos na dw po, incoming freshmen kc po anak ko...so sabi ko sa anak ko mag enroll ka muna sa ibang school aftr nya grumadweyt ng grade 12 nxt yr 2019, sa second sem palilipatin ko na po siya sa UP Diliman, nkausap ko mismo yung nsa registra office ata yun di n dw kkuha ng UPCAT exams anak ko kc transferee na nga siya basta maintain nya lng ang grades na 2.0 and above, ok lng ba na kumuha ng BS Toursim ang anak ko kung papalarin siyang mkapasok sa second sem nxt yr 2019 sa UP diliman?
Claire P. Gonzales - technically transferee status po ang mangyayari. Then hindi po sya makakapasok for 2nd sem he/she needs to finish the entire year with other school. Then needs nya ng mataas na grades or general average like 1.75 or higher. Kasi lahat ng transfer status eh taas ng standard expectations. Tapos same strategies kasi need nya kumuha ng not so popular course or else mahihirapan sya maconsider. FYI po start from the stratch sya so balik 1st year sa UP. My advise aral sya mabuti para taas grades nya for entire year with other school. As advised po he/she will be starting as 1st year again sa UP they dont credits all subjects talaga. So medyo may sacrifices with regards to time.
Yes. Totoo yan. Kaibigan ko ang pinaka matalino at may wide learnings about history, science, math, at Bible pero hindi siya top 1 kasi hindi siya nag aaral tuwing may exam. Hahahhaha talo parin ng masipag.
Yes. Totoo to! Yung pamangkin ko panlaban ng Math nung high school sya tapos nung nag SHS siya sa La Salle naka scholar pero nung kumuha ng upcat hindi siya nakapasa. Hehe
am i the only one who didnt have any techniques?? i mean okay i took summer classes bcs my parents wanted me to but that's just about it. i didnt study after summer, i focused sa school instead sa upcat, i actually only read the reviewers i have twice or thrice. and on the day of the exam, ako lang hindi nagr-review sa mga kasabayan ko, like lahat sila may hawak na papel and i'm just there observing and making jokes with my friend. nung nagt-take na ako ng exam, chill lang ako kasi i know i may not be as intelligent as the other kids, at least i tried lol. at least nakapasok ako ng up campus. the day the results were out, i was shocked kasi nakapasa ako like what the hell diba. i think what you need is not tons of knowledge about every subject or sleepless nights just to review for upcat. you just have to believe in yourself and dont pressure yourself. be chill while taking the test, kasi hindi yung subtests yung kalaban mo, it's time, confidence and luck skskdks. di ko alam kung useful ba mga sinabi ko but that's me, i live a messy but fun life, in my opinion lmao. so dont pressure yourselves! wala sa school yan, nasa tao. (also im still not sure if sa up ba ako since clsu is like my #1 priority but yeah) goodluck with the path you'll want to take!
Ya pero in other cases they shouldnt be complacent depende rin kasi sa skul na pinapasukan mo if advance something but yeah congrats coz u passed the exam. Sana oil

Ready na ko magpasa ng documents online non. Kaso di ako pinayagan ng daddy ko mag exam. Ayaw nya mag aral ako sa manila. May comment pala kong ganito. Sayang lang, gusto ko din sana itry yon. Kaso parang hindi nga talaga para sakin yung opportunity na yon.
Yung ultimate secret ay makukuha mo hindi months before or weeks before ng exams. Lahat ng learnings mo throughout the years na nag-aral ka ay yung best foundation para pumasa. Nag-review ako nang nag-review but at the day of the examination, napakakonti lang sa nareview ko ang lumabas sa exam. Magfocus sa fundamentals at basic principles, wag masyado sa specific topics.
@@andoryukun9050 he means na preparation doesn't start the summer before the upcat, dapat nagprepare ka na buong hs life mo. although merong mga taong pumapasa sa upcat na shs lang o 3rd/4th year lang nagseryoso, they're the exception, not the rule. basics are honed buong hs life mo, dapat sineryoso mo yun. since jhs/shs grades are taken into consideration, dapat prepared ka na rin for that. cramming when it comes to college acceptance isn't really recommended. -UP Diliman passer, BA Political Science
UPCAT is not that hard tbh all of the topics have already been taught in highschool, disregard those peeps that says UPCAT covers college level questions, it only covers highschool level topics, my own tip for passing such exam is to know the fundamentals and concepts of different subjects especially science and math which requires great critical thinking skills, if you know the basics and the how to's there's no doubt that you can surely pass the exam, other minor subjects are not to worry. If you happen to be a happy go lucky lad and doesn't pay attention to what your teachers are teaching well you might be in trouble. Take your time to review and don't pressure yourself too much. Fear is the mind killer, train your mind to be your greatest weapon.
I took the test way back 2006, and hindi ako ngreview. I was not that smart pero hindi rin naman ako bobo. I lived in the province so mga almost 12 lng kmi na ngtake sa school and lahat ng kasama ko are mga honor students, ako lng hindi pero 5 lng kmi na pumasa. I can still remember na there were about 72,000 applicants during my time and only 12,000 students lng ang nkapasa and isa ako dun. All I can say is that, hindi sya patalinuhan, paswertehan din yan kasi sometimes, even if you know the answer, mali nman pala ung sagot mo. Just make sure na masasagutan mo lahat ng questions and don’t skip any questions kasi ang laking tulong na matapos mo ung test in a limited time

Will be taking the UPCAT Exam this June 3 and I haven't reviewed yet so I was overthinking malala if makakapasa ba ako or not, so yeahh I'll watch this video to help me review for the days I have left. I'm an incoming Grade 12 student and I'm already thinking of the UPCAT exam. I've been so fvcking anxious about passing CETS as it may define what my future would be but reading all the comments from the past year and seeing all those people na nakapasa na, it made me happy and inspired. I will pass the UPCAT exam, I'm sure of it. I won't let myself get nervous and stressed again. I'll come back to this comment hoping na nakapasa na ako.

Nakakatuwa naman. Nag UPCAT ako more than 20 years ago pero sa high school namin parang formality lang siya bago pumasok sa UP. Feeder school kasi ang PSci sa UP. Parang wala yatang clasmmate ko na gustong pumunta sa UP ang hindi nakapasok. Yung iba sa US nagpunta. The hard part is getting your 4 yr diploma tapos nun apply pa ng UP med. Yan ang challenge kasi ang UP med ang pinakamahirap na college sa UP system na pasukin. Kahit magna ka sa diliman eh di ka pa sure kung matatanggap ka. Nung time namin 11 ang summa cum laude na galing sa UP system tapos 3 sa ibang schools. Ang magna mahigit 40 tapos yung cum laude na ang the rest. Pagkatapos meron pang IntraMed. Ay naku, pahirap ka sa utak UP pero had so much fun.
Graduate na ako ngaun. AB-Psychology, nang hihinayang ako na di ako tumuloy sa UP nung pumasa ako nun sa UPCAT. Masyado kasing malayo saken ang up diliman. Tiga bulacan kasi ako eh. :( Planning to study again. 2nd course na! 😍

I'll be having an UPCAT Exam this June 3, 2023 and beh naaanxious na ko ngayong araw pa lang. Nagfile lang naman ako for clout kasi ung mga friends and classmates ko is always talking about it so I got curious and filled an application form, and here I am trying to review mathematics and bruh walang napasok sa utak ko pls nabblanko ako. However, im not worrying sa ibang subs na ittest kasi medj keri ko naman mga yun, pero itong math mapapadasal nalang talaga ko. Idk why im so confident na papasa ako kahit na wala akong naiintindihan sa nireview ko sa math. Siguro, I'll try bawiin nalang sa ibang subs ung score? pero yeah, I can see my name on the list of those who passed UPCAT Exam this 2023. UPD Cutie

Im sorry wala talaga secret to pass UPCAT and other exams. First talino yan stock knowledge and another is sorry naniniwala ako sa Tsamba at swerte. Sa dami nyo kalaban eh hindi lang matalino at mayaman na gusto pumasok dyan. Imagine minsan hindi honor students sila pa ang nakapasok di ba. Siguro good grades high school yan is additional factor also then after stock knowledge. Sabi nga ng Prof namin sa Math eh here we always discholarize the scholars haha. So kung ikaw ang pinakamatalino sa high school sa UP na sorry pantay pantay na laban nyo.
Grabe naman nung jhs ako idont even have high grades puro low grades ako, ave. Ko nun hindi tataas sa 83 kasi super saya lang ako nung jhs tapos ngayon nagsisisi na ako bat di ako nakinig sa tc namin hahhahaha pero naniniwala ako sa sa sarili ko nung nag shs naman na ako matataas na grade ko walang makikita na bagsak at lahat line of 8 meron pang line of 9 at ngayon kahit wala akong mataas na grd nung jhs naniniwala ako sa sarili ko, even i failed Hindi ako panghihinaan ng loob kahit walang naniniwala sakin as long na naniniwala ako sa sarili ko kakayanin ko lahat, Walang imposible pero kay God lahat ng imposible mangyayare just trust the process. Don’t give up even you failed. Don’t be afraid to fail be afraid not to try!! Have confidence, smile wag ka pnghihinaan sa sinasabe ng ibang tao na hindi mo kaya, Magtiwala ka sa sarili mo na kaya mo don’t pressure yourself , kaya mo yan!!❤️ ( I really want to pass the upcat exam kahit di ako katalino at kayaman, As long na nangangarap ako para sa sarili ko at sa pamilya ko hindi ako mapapagod!
Believe in yourself and have faith kay God. Laban lang! Mag-review na rin kahit papaano. Kung medj kinakabahan ka, magsagot ka lang ng magsagot ng problems kung saan ka mahina panghatak lang ng confidence. Sadly, hindi ako nakapag exam ng UPCAT dahil may pinuntahan na ko nung panahong niresched nila ito pero nakapasa ako sa USTET. Kung hindi kayo nakapasa, madaming school na ngayon na magaganda. Share ko lang, hindi rin po ako nakapag review center at lalong hindi po ako honor nung jhs at shs pero ginawa ko lang is kapag may time, tumitingin ako ng mga kahit anong subject tapos binabasa ko siya. Natulog ako ng mahimbing nung the day before exam kasi pinakamahalaga pag mag eexam is may pahinga ka para gumana ng maayos utak mo. Work hard, but also work smart.
@@itsmeeib actually lahat naman madali, mahihirapan ka lang kapag wala ka talagang nireview na kahit ano. Nahirapn lang ako sa time ganun kasi mabilis lang per subject.

Nung nag-take ako ng upcat last year, di ako nakapagfocus buong oras dahil sobrang naiihi ako at di ko magawang lumabas dahil hinahabol ko yung oras kaya pinagtiisan ko nalang , tapos andami kong di nasagutan kaya nilagyan ko nalang shade hoping na tumama. Paglabas ko ng exam room idk pero ang gaan ng pakiramdam ko, nakangiti ako (balimbing dibaa hahaha). Ngayon, incoming freshman nako sa UPB ♡ (skl haha). Di naman ako gaano katalino, siguro pinagtiyagaan kong magreview kahit na nakakapressure, nakakadown or nakakasakit ng ulo, basta after the exam, wag kalilimutang bigyan ng reward ang sarili you deserve it.
Naghihintay pa lang ako ng link kase madaming nagre-registeeer, but hopefully dadating din 'yon. Para saken if maka-take man ako ng exam, masaya na makapasa pero okay lang kung hindi. Madaming school na pwedeng pag-aralan. Pero sana ay ma-send na ang link sa ngayon HAHAHAHHAHA.
I wasnt able to take the UPCAT way back 2008 kasi ung school nmen ndi man lng kme ni remind about the sched for UPCAT. Pero im still happy kasi I was able to pass PUPCET. Sobrang hirap ng exam pero was able to ace it. I did not do any review lahat stock knowledge lng from high school. As long as you feel and you are confident na you will pass. You can do it. Suggestion: I took review center classes and all teachers suggested to leave those questions you don't know unanswered. @Hermionali sabi nung mga teachers, di sya kasama sa "minus wrong" pero maapektuhan nya rin yung score. So example over 70, tapos you skipped three but you got the rest correct, 67 lang score mo kasi di naman daw sila considered as wrong. Suggestion lang naman nila na leave those questions you really find it hard answering but answer all questions as much as possible.

that's true, you're fighting for against thousands of UP aspirants like myself back in 2009, asa border yung score ko. Whether you pass or not the UPCAT, wag pa rin mawawalan ng loob. It's about your GRIT that will matter in the long run.

Hi guys! I passed last year’s UPCAT. I got in UP Manila. My only tip for you guys is to relax 😃 when I got tensed during the test, I told myself to breathe then eventually I was back on track.
here’s my ranking of difficulty among the subtests (1 as the hardest):
1. Math (halos same lang ng level ng ACET pero mas fun sa UPCAT)
2. Reading Comp (it was fun to read every selection. Was able to read twice pa kasi sobrang haba ng time tbh 1 and 30 minutes)
3. Language Prof (pero the Filipino portion was outta this world)
4. Science (sobrang common sense lang mga ka-potensyal kahit hindi ako from STEM, saks naman)
don’t forget to enjoy! masaya ang UPCAT and I won’t spoil you with what’s coming.

Roy Adams hi, i just want to ask, kaya ba ang math sa upcat na basic lang alam mo?
lily q to tell you honestly, basic lang ang math for UPCAT. More on Algebra and Geometry lang. During our time, puro triangles lang and TRANSVERSAL LINES (as in if u have mastered transversal lines, u’re good na). Also, trigo was just soh cah toa. I was expecting more pero ‘yun lang talaga.
Other things to be mentioned: Sequences, Age-Work problems, basic calculus (mga 2 questions lang and definition lang halos), word problems in unions, business math, central tendencies (ungrouped), logic, and etc.
Questions have four choices pero two of them are related, then the other two are also related to each other pero out of this world FOR REAL.
Pero do not be complacent, baka biglain kayo ng UPCAT this year. Pero one thing for sure, walang tagalized sa Math.

Hi!! Isa ako sa mga nag UPCAT 2019 hehe. To tell you honestly, di talaga ako nagreview. Like sumali ako da groups then minsan may nagtatanong then nagsasagot ako. Yun lang talaga. Wala akong ibang type of review. Yung mga kabatch ko, nagreview center or brain train. Pero ako? Wala enjoy life hahaha. Tapos medyo na-late pa ko sa testing center kasi Intrams namin nun besh, lutang pa utak ko kasi iniisip ko yung sport ko. Buti na lang medyo matagal sila papasukin 😂 so ayun tapos dahil nga di ako nag review, wala din practice besh! Nagulat ako sa oras teh. Kakastart ko pa lang, maya maya may naka flip boar chorva sa unahan, nakalagay 10 mins na lang wtf? Tapos yung math at science ko, bente ata walang sagot. Ayoko manchamba hahaha. Oo nga pala po, pag walang sagot, hindi sya considered right or wrong so walang minus pag wala sagot. So ayon nga, afte UPCAT, lagas utak ko, isipin nyo hinalungkat ko on the spot yung stock knowledge ko from JHS. Wala talaga akong pag asa nung time na yun. Sabi ko nga, if ever makapasa man ako, sobrang himala na talaga. Tapos April 1 came, late ako nagising tapos paggising ko, nagchat sakin yung friend ko na congrats daw kasi I passed UPCAT. Eh April 1, so April fools day dibaa? Hanggang sa pati sa GC namin sabi I passed dawww!! Sobrang naiyak ako teh! Di ko naexpect. I'm so overwhelmed. Then yuuun! Totoo nga, naconfirm ko nung pumunta ako dun sa site. Effort pa ko pagpapaload ha? Now, I'm incoming freshie na sa UPLB 😍 Feeling ko, malaking advantage ko yung matataas kong grades (well not super taas naman) ng hs. Atsaka besh, may nastock talaga akong knowledge. Masipag kasi ako makinig sa teachers. Tamad lang magnotes tsaka magreview. Pero trust me, pag nakinig ka talaga, kahit mag scan ka lang ng konti, you'll survive. Goodluck and God bless sa atin! I will reveal something a big secret. Once done na result you will receive your UPG the letter. Pag di ka pumasa at ang UPG mo eh 3.5 pataas what I mean 1-2.5 ang normal passing sa UP eh. So between 3.5 to 2.75 pwede ka gumawa ng consideration letter to enter UP. This is not a joke as Ive worked as Student Asst sa Univ Reg ng UP. Pero make sure you will choose non quota and not so popular course. Another tip go to UPM, UP Clark, UP Baguio, UP Cebu and UP Davao. Kasi unti ang kalaban for the consideration. Pwede naman to try it sa UPD, UPV and UPLB pero maliit chance kasi madami din meron kilala. Basta message me na lang to help and give you tips. Kasi andami ko na din help na family friends 10 na sila infairness pasok naman.
Alli Lenchico sa email po ba marereceive next year ang UPG or hihingin sa UP Admission? And pag po ba magpaparecon, ibigsabihin hindi na first choice mo ang pwede mong kuhanin na course?
Haha aba syempre hindi mo makukuha yung first choice. Kasi hindi ka nga technically nakapasa. Maghanap ka ng course na madali para makakuha ka ng mataas na grades then next year makashift ka. Fyi there are some courses na hindi talaga tumatanggap ng shiftees sa UPD College of Business Ad wala talaga chance lalo na sa Accounting. Same also sa Triple E ng College of Engineering. Sa UP Manila naman eh College of Rehab so PT, OT and Speech Path wala din yan and Public Health. Ayan andami ko na tips ha. Tama na mangarap if di nakapasa if makapasok ka via reconsideration grab it any course para makapasok ka sa UP even ano pang campus.

Claire P. Gonzales - technically transferee status po ang mangyayari. Then hindi po sya makakapasok for 2nd sem he/she needs to finish the entire year with other school. Then needs nya ng mataas na grades or general average like 1.75 or higher. Kasi lahat ng transfer status eh taas ng standard expectations. Tapos same strategies kasi need nya kumuha ng not so popular course or else mahihirapan sya maconsider. FYI po start from the stratch sya so balik 1st year sa UP. My advise aral sya mabuti para taas grades nya for entire year with other school. As advised po he/she will be starting as 1st year again sa UP they dont credits all subjects talaga. So medyo may sacrifices with regards to time.
Not all honor students are smart, most of the time their just a hardworking students. So we still have a chance to be an honor student and enter UP

am i the only one who didnt have any techniques?? i mean okay i took summer classes bcs my parents wanted me to but that's just about it. i didnt study after summer, i focused sa school instead sa upcat, i actually only read the reviewers i have twice or thrice. and on the day of the exam, ako lang hindi nagr-review sa mga kasabayan ko, like lahat sila may hawak na papel and i'm just there observing and making jokes with my friend. nung nagt-take na ako ng exam, chill lang ako kasi i know i may not be as intelligent as the other kids, at least i tried lol. at least nakapasok ako ng up campus. the day the results were out, i was shocked kasi nakapasa ako like what the hell diba. i think what you need is not tons of knowledge about every subject or sleepless nights just to review for upcat. you just have to believe in yourself and dont pressure yourself. be chill while taking the test, kasi hindi yung subtests yung kalaban mo, it's time, confidence and luck skskdks. di ko alam kung useful ba mga sinabi ko but that's me, i live a messy but fun life, in my opinion lmao. so dont pressure yourselves! wala sa school yan, nasa tao. (also im still not sure if sa up ba ako since clsu is like my #1 priority but yeah) goodluck with the path you'll want to take!

Yung ultimate secret ay makukuha mo hindi months before or weeks before ng exams. Lahat ng learnings mo throughout the years na nag-aral ka ay yung best foundation para pumasa. Nag-review ako nang nag-review but at the day of the examination, napakakonti lang sa nareview ko ang lumabas sa exam. Magfocus sa fundamentals at basic principles, wag masyado sa specific topics.

@@andoryukun9050 he means na preparation doesn't start the summer before the upcat, dapat nagprepare ka na buong hs life mo. although merong mga taong pumapasa sa upcat na shs lang o 3rd/4th year lang nagseryoso, they're the exception, not the rule. basics are honed buong hs life mo, dapat sineryoso mo yun. since jhs/shs grades are taken into consideration, dapat prepared ka na rin for that. cramming when it comes to college acceptance isn't really recommended.

UPCAT is not that hard tbh all of the topics have already been taught in highschool, disregard those peeps that says UPCAT covers college level questions, it only covers highschool level topics, my own tip for passing such exam is to know the fundamentals and concepts of different subjects especially science and math which requires great critical thinking skills, if you know the basics and the how to's there's no doubt that you can surely pass the exam, other minor subjects are not to worry. If you happen to be a happy go lucky lad and doesn't pay attention to what your teachers are teaching well you might be in trouble. Take your time to review and don't pressure yourself too much. Fear is the mind killer, train your mind to be your greatest weapon.

I took the test way back 2006, and hindi ako ngreview. I was not that smart pero hindi rin naman ako bobo. I lived in the province so mga almost 12 lng kmi na ngtake sa school and lahat ng kasama ko are mga honor students, ako lng hindi pero 5 lng kmi na pumasa. I can still remember na there were about 72,000 applicants during my time and only 12,000 students lng ang nkapasa and isa ako dun. All I can say is that, hindi sya patalinuhan, paswertehan din yan kasi sometimes, even if you know the answer, mali nman pala ung sagot mo. Just make sure na masasagutan mo lahat ng questions and don’t skip any questions kasi ang laking tulong na matapos mo ung test in a limited time

I'm an incoming Grade 12 student and I'm already thinking of the UPCAT exam. I've been so fvcking anxious about passing CETS as it may define what my future would be but reading all the comments from the past year and seeing all those people na nakapasa na, it made me happy and inspired. Nakakatuwa naman. Nag UPCAT ako more than 20 years ago pero sa high school namin parang formality lang siya bago pumasok sa UP. Feeder school kasi ang PSci sa UP. Parang wala yatang clasmmate ko na gustong pumunta sa UP ang hindi nakapasok. Yung iba sa US nagpunta. The hard part is getting your 4 yr diploma tapos nun apply pa ng UP med. Yan ang challenge kasi ang UP med ang pinakamahirap na college sa UP system na pasukin. Kahit magna ka sa diliman eh di ka pa sure kung matatanggap ka. Nung time namin 11 ang summa cum laude na galing sa UP system tapos 3 sa ibang schools. Ang magna mahigit 40 tapos yung cum laude na ang the rest. Pagkatapos meron pang IntraMed. Ay naku, pahirap ka sa utak UP pero had so much fun.

I'll be having an UPCAT Exam this June 3, 2023 and beh naaanxious na ko ngayong araw pa lang. Nagfile lang naman ako for clout kasi ung mga friends and classmates ko is always talking about it so I got curious and filled an application form, and here I am trying to review mathematics and bruh walang napasok sa utak ko pls nabblanko ako. However, im not worrying sa ibang subs na ittest kasi medj keri ko naman mga yun, pero itong math mapapadasal nalang talaga ko. Idk why im so confident na papasa ako kahit na wala akong naiintindihan sa nireview ko sa math. Siguro, I'll try bawiin nalang sa ibang subs ung score? pero yeah, I can see my name on the list of those who passed UPCAT Exam this 2023. UPD Cutie

Im sorry wala talaga secret to pass UPCAT and other exams. First talino yan stock knowledge and another is sorry naniniwala ako sa Tsamba at swerte. Sa dami nyo kalaban eh hindi lang matalino at mayaman na gusto pumasok dyan. Imagine minsan hindi honor students sila pa ang nakapasok di ba. Siguro good grades high school yan is additional factor also then after stock knowledge. Sabi nga ng Prof namin sa Math eh here we always discholarize the scholars haha. So kung ikaw ang pinakamatalino sa high school sa UP na sorry pantay pantay na laban nyo.

Grabe naman nung jhs ako idont even have high grades puro low grades ako, ave. Sadly, hindi ako nakapag exam ng UPCAT dahil may pinuntahan na ko nung panahong niresched nila ito pero nakapasa ako sa USTET. Kung hindi kayo nakapasa, madaming school na ngayon na magaganda.
Share ko lang, hindi rin po ako nakapag review center at lalong hindi po ako honor nung jhs at shs pero ginawa ko lang is kapag may time, tumitingin ako ng mga kahit anong subject tapos binabasa ko siya. Natulog ako ng mahimbing nung the day before exam kasi pinakamahalaga pag mag eexam is may pahinga ka para gumana ng maayos utak mo. Work hard, but also work smart.

Yes, I'm a honor student pero alam ko na masipag lang ako kaya ko nakukuha kung anong grade ang meron ako ngayon. Yes, lagi kong dinadown ung sarili ko pero now I learned na dapat magkaroon ka ng tiwala sa sarili mo na kakayanin mo. Kaya nung napanood ko ung vid nyo nainspire ako magtest btw baka nextnext school year pa ko makapagtest becuz I'm incoming grade 12 palang but through this video nakapagdecide ako na magtetest ako in UP kasi una nag aalinlangan ako kasi alam ko lahat ng nakakapasa sa UPCAT matatalino kaya natatakot ako. Nung nag-take ako ng upcat last year, di ako nakapagfocus buong oras dahil sobrang naiihi ako at di ko magawang lumabas dahil hinahabol ko yung oras kaya pinagtiisan ko nalang , tapos andami kong di nasagutan kaya nilagyan ko nalang shade hoping na tumama. Paglabas ko ng exam room idk pero ang gaan ng pakiramdam ko, nakangiti ako (balimbing dibaa hahaha). Ngayon, incoming freshman nako sa UPB ♡ (skl haha). Di naman ako gaano katalino, siguro pinagtiyagaan kong magreview kahit na nakakapressure, nakakadown or nakakasakit ng ulo, basta after the exam, wag kalilimutang bigyan ng reward ang sarili you deserve it.

Naghihintay pa lang ako ng link kase madaming nagre-registeeer, but hopefully dadating din 'yon. Para saken if maka-take man ako ng exam, masaya na makapasa pero okay lang kung hindi. Madaming school na pwedeng pag-aralan. Pero sana ay ma-send na ang link sa ngayon HAHAHAHHAHA.
I wasnt able to take the UPCAT way back 2008 kasi ung school nmen ndi man lng kme ni remind about the sched for UPCAT. Pero im still happy kasi I was able to pass PUPCET. Sobrang hirap ng exam pero was able to ace it. I did not do any review lahat stock knowledge lng from high school. As long as you feel and you are confident na you will pass. You can do it. Pray din before the exam. From PUP Sta Mesa here College of Communication.

Suggestion: I took review center classes and all teachers suggested to leave those questions you don't know unanswered. UPCAT is right minus 1/4 wrong pero leaving questions unanswered doesnt mean your answer is wrong. So di sya masasama sa 1/4 wrong.

@Hermionali sabi nung mga teachers, di sya kasama sa "minus wrong" pero maapektuhan nya rin yung score. So example over 70, tapos you skipped three but you got the rest correct, 67 lang score mo kasi di naman daw sila considered as wrong. Suggestion lang naman nila na leave those questions you really find it hard answering but answer all questions as much as possible.

that's true, you're fighting for against thousands of UP aspirants like myself back in 2009, asa border yung score ko. Whether you pass or not the UPCAT, wag pa rin mawawalan ng loob. It's about your GRIT that will matter in the long run.
