Overview:
---------------
On the 3rd May 2022 I visited the Canary Islands in Spain once again. My visit was to Tenerife South Airport (Reina Sofía Airport) since it's been on my bucket list for a long time now.
I couldn't miss an opportunity to fly on the Boeing 767 since I last flew it in 2019 to Lanzarote. As many of you know the Boeing 767 is one of my favourite planes, as well as the 757, so it was great flying both in one day / My Return was on the Jet2 757 service later that day (Not included in video report)
My stay in Tenerife lasted 3 Hours before I headed back to Departures and flew back.

Perfect weather for flying away to a warmer climate!!🙂
Quite 😚 0:02
The FO's are always a pleasure to just chat aviation with!
Yeah great video Sam. Like Dreamweaver 787 I also flew to Tenerife several times on Britannia 767s from Glasgow. Interesting to see the refurb in the cabin. Some great shots of Teide in the descent. Ladies loo @ MAN😆 Inside the cockpit awesome. Delta still use 767s on several routes. Look forward to the next vid👍🏻
Same
Delta negotiated the total cabin overall but Britannia didn’t, see the overhead bins as 1960s style 727, 737.
Amazing video i watched you depart as i was sat in T2 waiting for my TUI 787 flight which got cancelled that day, but took a few photos of this aircraft taxi past
Thanks AllAviation, I would love to see the pics. I think I boarded through gate 206
Oh gosh they still got the original early 1980s overhead bins. I thought they would have done a deal with Boeing to upgrade the cabin when making the 787 deal. Thankfully the 757 definition freeze of cabin was completed after the 767 in 1981. The 757, at least, has the more modern bins as did the 737-300/400/500s. The 767 has the 737-200 and 727 design and Britannia should have pushed to upgrade since they got the first 8 abreast cabin. 767 is usually 7 abreast for the legacy carriers.
Beautiful thnx for sharing..👏👏👌
No problem, glad your enjoyed
Enjoyed the video. Very interesting to see the Flight Deck too.
Glad you enjoyed it!
We Going To Tenerife Next Year and we are flying on the Tui dreamliner first time. So Excited x
Great stuff. Flight will probably feel twice as quick with the excitement!
What month/date are u flying to Tenerife? As I’ve always wanted to fly on the Dreamliner
We are going in August 1st 2023 flying from Birmingham, but we are flying on the dreamliner on the return flight which is strange but I've never flown on a dreamliner xx
Great video Sam as always !
Thanks Craig!
Going on this flight tomorrow, September 19th, 2022, but with jet2. very excited!!
Nice for you Earth Studios, is it a 757 or 737?
@@TTENetwork Well we are using the Airbus A330-200. Our flight is also being operated by airtanker!
my holiday was very good!!
Hi I’ve booked Manchester - Kos and the plane Is 767-328. Is that a decent craft? Also I’m pretty tall, do you have any recommendations for best seats please?
Hi Wayne. The TUI Boeing 767's are old now and yes you will be able to see from the cabin and how noisy it is. I can recommend seats around row 16 and Row 34 for the best legroom, there is also rows 6 & 2 at the front. Check SeatGuru for more specific information: www.seatguru.com/airlines/Thomson_Airways/Thomson_Airways_Boeing_767-300ER_V3.php
Have a nice time in Kos!
@@TTENetwork Hi thank you for replying. From what I can see and understand on the TUI “select a seat” diagram is row 17 seats A/B are classes as extra leg room seats followed by a bulk head then toilet and also in row 35 seats G/H are also the same. I’m just debating if it’s worth the £45 price mark. I’m just worried I’ll get one of the odd half window seats or the wing. I’d prefer to be able to fill see outside. I have autism and sensory problems that’s why I’m still stuck on the best seat. I definitely need as much space as possible which I understand there’s only so much money can buy on economy flight.
@@WaynesPokeWorld Best thing I can suggest is going for the extra legroom if that is what's really important to you. You can let the crew know in advance about your obstacles and maybe they can do something for you? Here is TUI's Number anyway if you want to bring these things to light: 020 3451 2688
Hope I helped :) :)
@@drewpeacock69 Ye very annoying little things. Hope you had a great time anyway down in Alicante! Thanks for the comment!
7:04 I know what you mean...first time I walked under the wing of a 767 with winglets, the tops of those seem about 50ft high 🙂
10 days it will be mine and my family turn to ride tui 767 down to Turkey can't wait
Bet you can't. Bit old and past their best now but sure really fun to fly
everyone talking about their holiday
me at 1:16 and that one person we all got rickrolled😂
1985 last 767 i went on lovely plane ✈️
That woman behind you was really keeping an eye on you 😂
A little scary wasn’t she
@@TTENetwork ummmm yea😂
19:20 when you hear the engines it means go time😁😁
Absolutely Go Time! 🚀
50 minutes is bad delay. However 2 days ago We had to sit and wait on the plane for 2 hours before we even had our tug ready.
I know Gamer Boy, it's unacceptable that an airline with the Reputation that TUI Have can get away with letting thousands of people down every day
Awesome ✈
Nice video...
Those seats look so narrow and looks a very cramped cabin.
Can't believe TUI have reconfigured these few remaining 767s back to a high density 8 across seating from the 7 across like the industry standard and when these use to fly long haul for the airline.
Looks very dated with the old style overhead lockers, Delta have put the new versions in and bakes the cabin look so much more airy.
They are on their way out for sure, but I enjoy flying the older birds at the moment. Great that your thought are identical to my own. Thanks for the Comment Giles
Sure its very cramped, as is the 787, except for JAL with an 8 abreast configuration as 787 was originally designed for. Delta have the standard 7 abreast and its nice as United
TUI are poor negotiators you can tell too
Fantastic !!
Many thanks Riggy7!
Has the 767s got USB ports?
Yes, its located right above the tray table
@@TTENetwork Thanks. It says on seatmaps that they don't though lol
@@TTENetwork but thank you for telling me they actually do!
1:16 you even get rickrolled in the airport 😂
Yeah
But tenerife airport had an airport disater in klm and pan am flight
Correct but doesn't mean every other plane that lands will crash!!???? Also that was the north
Why did they remove the inflight entertainment!
2020 I think. These things are like Apollo 13, slowly shutting down the systems 😂
@@TTENetwork great video keep em coming
Aaa are you 2 in Manchester
T2 Yes, I narrate the info at the top left
The Captain didnt seem to comfortable with you taking the camera in there....felt a bit awkward sadly
I met him again in the cockpit on my second trip to TFS about a month ago, He's actually I really nice guy. I think he was a bit off because he thought I was Which? Magazine or Something, doing a review for media.
Certainly wasn't the case
