Awesome, evergreen, quintessential Afam Ogbuotobo, played his music likely "forever" growing up in the good old days in Onitsha. Profound gratitude to my great Uncle Chief Chulo Asika, Akpe-Olodi whose remarkable foresight and entrepreneurial acumen even whilst a practising lawyer set up Heavy Sounds International that provided the launch pad for Ogbuotobo 's early and timeless hits.

Thanks for this. I had the pleasure of visiitng Afam at his house many years ago and also heard him play at Onitsha. One day we will all realise what a superb musician he was. Let's hope we continue to value and encourage this traditional Igbo music or we are in grave danger of it dying out. Believe me.It will start with the loss of skilled artisans who still retain the skill and traditional know-how to make the traditional instuments. Once they go it is lost forever! This must be preserved at all costs or there is a real danger of ancient Igbo tradtional rhythms disappearing for good!

@Douglas, Nur... any of you know where/how I can BUY his songs (CD)?
As a child I loved listening to his music on our 'turn-table'.
"Onye no nso bia save-o mu o, ewe gbataa nwe save o his life o...! "
    Classic. Love it!
