Mickey was literally working himself to both the very bone and core for his wife and she doesn't see that and while she wants him to spend time with her and they could've talked it out, Mickey was not in the state of mind to talk as he was in the state of stress and wanted to give her everything, when his patience broke he did lash out at her, but I didn't know he slapped her, and Mickey having time alone with his thoughts about what he did was wrong and what he wanted to achieve for her, i still think its too far for her to sell him to the devil for all that, to be fair she was unappreciative about what he was actually trying to do which was what he was upset about
But who's to say she didn't appreciate it, maybe she just didn't wanted materials especially if she DID try to talk to him that she just wanted to spend time with him and he's the one who got upset and hit her.
