  • Section hike of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk - Lake Baroon to Flaxton Walkers Camp and back.
Overnight Hike - quite a scenic hike with beautiful rain forest, some terrific lookouts, waterfalls, rock pools and plenty of places to stop for a rest and snack.
Not too difficult with only one leg burner in both directions; first one is about 400 metres, mainly stairs leading you to Kondalilla Rock Pool, at the top of Kondalilla Falls and the second is on the way back to Lake Baroon - approximately 2km before the trail head, 300 metre approx, ascent, lots of switchbacks which lead you to Baroon Lookout.
The trail is well signed and foopad is very easy to follow.
There’s aslo approximately 4.5 km of Road Walk from Kondalilla National Park Car Park, along the main road and then ducks back into another street which leads to another access point into the National Park, and its just a short walk from there to Flaxton Walk in Camp.
This section is also well signed with Great Walk Markers 👌🏼
There’s a coffee shop up the stairs from Kondalilla National Park Car Park, where I grabbed a takeawy coffee for the road walk - perfect.
Theres some amazing views out to the coast during this section and some impressive restored old properties on acreage which are nice to admite along the way.
Many people on the trail, quite a popular spot.
Following and crossing Obi Obi Creek most of the way and changing landscapes with something different around every corner, including some neat board walks, bridges and vistas.
Great hike 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 really enjoyed ot 😄
    Overnight hike
