One of their best albums. Came out the year I graduated high school - yikes! Yeah The Cure have been around for a LONG time and still feel fresh. Yes, Americans say "shivers down my spine" or it "gave me the shivers." ;) I've been watching your channel for over a year or so - always enjoy it!!!
While I love the music before my time, this band along with Depeche Mode and others like it from my generation are those that I do return to. Went to see The Cure in the early 2000's in West Palm Beach, Florida. Fantastic!
Whatever the era, The Cure has always had iconic tracks and album! The first albums are different from what you heard, but you really have to discover... Pornograhy,The top, Faith, ,kiss me,Kissme,Kiss me,The Head on the Door...And much more... Good to hear them on your channel!! Thanks!
The Cure just wrote banger after banger, a truly iconic band. The video to “Lullaby” is equally creepy, Robert Smith led in bed covered in cobwebs! “Pictures of You” is my personal favourite Cure track - I will add it on my next list, it’s beautiful 👏🏻
NEVER LISTENED TO THE CURE, VERY INTERESTING THE WHISPERING IS VERY UNIQUE. THAT WAS AWESOME!! I NEED TO HEAR MORE CURE!! YEAA WHEN I HEARD SPIDER I THOUGHT ABOUT YOU RORY!! AWESOME REACTION RORY 💙 THANK YOU CHRIS FOR THIS AWESOME REQUEST 😊 🩷 🔥 🤘 ✌️
They just were different at the time and their originality hold up today and still sounds good. ' Just like Heaven' , 'In between days' and 'Love Cats' would be my choices. Another band worth checking out doing different things at the time is 'THE THE' their song 'This is the Day' has the greatest opening lines of any song I've heard.
When Jimmy Page and Robert Plant got back together for the Unledded project, they toured in 1995. They drafted Porl Thompson from The Cure as a second guitarist to compliment Page. They did a beautiful version of this track that everyone really loved hearing on that tour. Here is a wonderful sample from that phenomenal tour! ua-cam.com/video/UCJEhfVyCvw/v-deo.htmlsi=sHMAlz8-8GlrzkWW
Excellent request, Chris ❤ So many incredible songs to discover, Rory. Also: Need to chk out Temple of the Dog covering the Cure's "Fascination Street."
@@missingmonk4601 It's already in the queue...on my All Things Chris Cornell request list that Rory is working through. Where to even begin with The Cure... ❤️
About the 3rd or 4th time i heard this song, i got it in my head that this song was about child abuse from the childs perspective. It probably not, but it sounds like fear.
@@Roryreacts Yes Rory, but that is not used anymore. There are a lot of expressions from when I was younger that people of my generation still used that have fallen by the waste side.
Love this song

americans do say that - at least the old people down south do
night terrrors
YES, AMERICANS SAY THAT, SHIVERS DOWN THE SPINE!!
Americans say “ someone just walked over my grave”?
@Roryreacts I'VE HEARD THAT BEFORE, AMERICANS HAVE SAID THAT "SOMEONE JUST WALKED OVER MY GRAVE" VERY CHILLING QUOTE WOULDN'T YOU SAY? 😊🩷🤘✌️

@@nycsue yeah was gonna say I haven’t heard it in anything American I’ve watched
It's not a strictly American thing. I still hear people in Britain who utter the phrase!
