Festa Pinha´22 | Estoi

Todos os anos, no início de Maio, Estoi | Faro | Algarve, comemora um dos seus festivais mais especiais, a "Festa da Pinha", mais conhecido como o festival da pinha. Ninguém sabe muito bem a origem desta tradição antiga, contudo ela repete-se há mais de 2 séculos.
A procissão de Estoi para o Ludo (próximo de Almancil - Loulé) no dia 02 de Maio e o seu regresso é o ponto alto deste evento com o que quê de espetacular. Os participantes, que se vestem tradicionalmente com calças pretas, camisas brancas e lenços vermelhos, reúnem-se na pista de cavalos em Estoi - cavaleiros, em carruagens puxadas por cavalos, tratores e camiões, todos muito bem decorados com flores.
A "Mais Algarve" esteve, uma vez mais presente e traz-lhes as principais incidências da Festa da Pinha deste Ano.

Every year, at the beginning of May, Estoi | Faro | Algarve, celebrates one of its most special festivals, “A Festa da Pinha", better known as the pinecone festival. No one really knows the origin of this ancient tradition, however, it has been repeated for over 2 centuries.
The procession from Estoi to Ludo (near Almancil - Loulé) on May 2nd and back is the highlight of this spectacular event. The participants, traditionally dressed in black trousers, white shirts, and red scarves, gather at the horse track in Estoi - riders, in horse-drawn carriages, tractors, and trucks, all beautifully decorated with flowers.
