The Dingo channels are such a good place to find great artists. I hadn't heard of them before watching their killing voice, but their performance is impressive and you can feel just how much they're enjoying performing.
When I saw this video, it was two weeks old and I was upset at myself for not finding it immediately when it came out and now I’ve just been listening to these ladies non stop since then. Sangin’ is somethin that you can’t really fake. Either you got it or you don’t and it’s beyond evident that they have it in spades Also, their latest song was only a single, but hopefully they release another album soon because the world needs more Big Mama
As a Korean, I gotta thank black people for creating music like this. We get to see people all over the world with talent produce some amazing music due to black influence.

I know about them because they were there when Big Bang (another legendary group) was preparing to debut but have never listen to their music. All I know was they the powerhouse and created by YG himself. Basically Big Mama is the pioneers of Big Bang and Blackpink from the same agency. I finally listened to them by watching Dingo performance and so regretful I didn’t listen to them much earlier. Their voice as one is just out of this world so thank you for reacting to them. I actually found out about Bigmama from another reactor, Thina aka OG K-Pop Stan, because when she first heard Mamamoo she mentioned Bigmama being powerful vocalists from a previous generation. Mamamoo members themselves seem to be mostly inspired by 2nd generation artists like TVXQ and 2NE1 but I think their CEO, Kim Dihoon, may have created Mamamoo to test the concept that Bigmama pioneered. Bigmama and Mamamoo are different in some important ways though. Most importantly, Bigmama aren't really idols...but they used many of the same promotional methods as idols did at that time. Though many Moo Moos try to deny it, the fact is that Mamamoo are indeed idols. Not only do they sing AND dance but they're all really pretty, which is a hard requirement in the idol industry. Another difference is vocals. Bigmama all have very powerful voices and each member was able to hone their voice for soul and R&B while Mamamoo all have powerful voices and each member has many skills that are used in a wider variety of genres. Mamamoo has more vocal variety overall but Bigmama has more depth and experience. I would love for Bigmama and Mamamoo to collaborate one day because each group has something special to bring to the table.
To what you said about the world being big-- Korea probably has the most developed music culture in the world. Countless mainstream music shows where fully ESTABLISHED first class musicians put their prides on the line to compete with each other every week (Immortal songs, where Michael Bolton [and others] was guest and was paid tribute to by famous singers). Imagine Mariah Carey competing against Celine Dion and Arianna Grande on weekends one week, then backstreet boys competing against N Sync the next. Male Rock Singers who sing louder and higher than women (google Lee Hyuk - She's gone), outstanding average people who sing duets with celebs then disappear the next day (Fantastic Duo). Celeb singers doing busking, etc etc. It's crazy.

After their disbandment, I believe in 2011 or 2012, they went on to become professors at universities of course specializing in music. 3. They have since been given the nickname ProfessorDols (Professor-Idols) by some fans because of their current profession. 4. They are all in their 40s but they still got it.

Check her out in pass videos she a lot heavier but still got the talent. She rocks!
