    One more comment. Something about how Dakota Johnson acted in the Madame Web press junket stuff. She was lied to by Sony and/or her old agent.
    She was told that she would be working on an MCU project, which is a large reason why she signed on to it. I believe she said this in a "conversation"-interview with Elizabeth Olson.

    I feel bad for Sydney Sweeney. There's an interview where Sydney says she had to beg to do a comic acurate pose that her character, Julia Carpenter, its the upside down one. So that shows Syndey actually cared about playing this character, I want to see her play Julia again with a movie team that cares as well.

    Tbh, a lower budget, sleek and sexy cat-and-mouse heist movie staring Black Cat and Silver Sable seems pretty bullet proof so it’s funny that one is the one that never got off the ground. There’s something there.

    I have a thread saved for this film about the insanity of the marketing campaign and it's pure existence perplexes me. It was either so cheap that they all just decided to make a shitpost, or they invested so much that it collapsed in on itself. Either way it is my comfort material

    I greatly preferred Madame Web over the Morbius movie, and I loved Matt Smith from his Doctor Who days. That said, Leto needs to stay out cinema or just not take staring roles, like just because his band got big (i only like 5 songs, 3 from A Beautiful Lie and 2 from This Is War. I kinda think they're really just a mid band that only blew up because of how big the early 2000's emo era was and just road that wave momentum going forward) doesn't mean he should be a main character in anything as so far his best role is in Fight Club getting his butt kicked by Ed Norton.

    I will be that guy who just leaves comments as I reach certain points in the video.
    I agree with Oli regarding the fireworks factory that it doesn’t really show that she needs to be in multiple places.
    Also the internal injury scenes is doubled in voiceover, but she catches it the first time without her powers.
    BUT this is one of my favourite scenes because the crash is because of her. If she doesn’t want to go with her colleague, she wouldn’t have delayed him, so he would have gone before tha truck comes along.

    1:17:20 That is actually incorrect, chest compressions and defibrillator are used in different circumstances. If they have no pulse at all, you do NOT use a defibrillator, it is only used for abnormal heart rates. You would then use chest compressions and hope you get enough of a pulse back to be able to use the defib to shock you back to a normal rhythm.

    It's funny that this film was produced because it was in developmental hell before being launched. This film is really asking to be re edited and somehow try to go back to Andrew Garfield because it would have made sense to tie in the history about the characters more. However it will open up tons of incorrect plot holes about the timeline and facts that we know about if you put it in that universe and while I am here writing, the fact that not a lot of people are talking about is that this first can't be in the MCU due to the fact that there is no references to Tony parents being killed by some silent cold winter guy / soldier or anything about Captain America, Marvel or tons or missing information about Shield existing. That is the main reason why it can not exist in any timeline if you did set it in anyway of the establish universe. Maybe if they could have set it in the Venom universe it could work but again it sets up more problems than most people would think about.
    Anyway this video was produced very and great way of editing it for the general public and hopefully maybe Sony will start trying to stop being dumb about making superhero movies franchises and just make a good movie.

    Dakota Johnson can act, she’s shown she has talent in some of the smaller stuff she’s done. Unfortunately the bigger budget stuff she chooses to do are things like 50 Shades or this. Absolutely the case of an actor who needs a good director to bring the best out of them and not one who can elevate even the worst material to at least passable.

    how are you two both wrestling fans and, for lack of a better term, "cinephiles" and neither of you have seen The Peanut Butter Falcon? a great film and dakota johnson is great in it. its not her fault you've only seen her in the two notoriously studio heavy driven franchises that she's been in.
    I find it wild the confidence in which you two feel informed enough to spend the majority of this 4hrs just attacking Dakota Johnson as an actress, because "We've not just seen her in this movie, we've also seen fifty shades"
    It would be like someone who's only seen Twilight & Harry Potter feeling they have seen all they need to see of Robert Pattinson and decided he's now a bad actor. Regardless of all his other work I've not seen, he is a bad actor because I've seen the one harry potter movie and twilight

    • @michaelandrews117
      @michaelandrews117 9 днів тому +1

      To be fair, Dakota Johnson has a very wide range of movies, and the films that she has performed well in could probably be counted in one hand. I feel like her mean average of quality is definitely on the lower end and I personally don't think she's a good actor

    • @bigwill00
      @bigwill00 7 днів тому

      @michaelandrews117 which is a fair opinion to have if you've seen her in more than madam web and fifty shades. I respectfully disagree, I'm not saying I think she's one of the best in the world or anything. But I think she is capable of giving a very good performance and stand by that she is very good in The Peanut Butter Falcon.
      Make fun of her performance in this all day long, she is not good at all. but I just thought it was insane to boldly declare "we've seen all we need to see. we've seen fifty shades, we've seen madam web. Dakota Johnson is a bad actress."

    I love the Wrestletalk guys - Luke's great, Oli's great, and I love content about movies. I saw this pop up on my feed and I thought "Awesome! A new Cutscene discussion thing? Sign me up!"
    Then I saw it was over 4 hours long.
    Guys, I get the passion, and something like this might be kind of great for podcast listeners or something, but I'm not gonna watch 2 movies worth of you talking about a movie.
    Time is precious. You seem to have this focus lately of highlighting how long some of your content is, but really long content like this is actually a big turn-off for a hell of a lot of people, myself included. 20-30 minutes is fine, sit down with a bite to eat and enjoy, but 4 hours?
    More power to you for doing what you actually want to do, rather than feeling compelled to do what the people want. I just wanted to offer some constructive criticism because I'm worried about the engagement on these massive videos.
    Maybe consider a condensed or highlights version, that would be more palatable to people who don't have 4 hours?

      I think you have it backwards.
      This is an advert for the Patreon, where people get more of Oli and Luke talking, which is what the people supporting them want.

    4 hours talking about a film that's not great, but also nowhere near as bad as listening to Oli jack-off CM Spunk in another news video

    I love that the boys follow "How Did This Get Made". The people I like like the things that I like!
