Love this...but here is what I see happening : Teacher will use AI to provide feedback on student papers written by AI. THIS = AI grading/feedback to AI.
But is the feedback age and skill appropriate? Does it attempt to foster authority and authenticity? Can it know what that specific student needs to understand about their writing development? Writing teachers do SO MUCH more than just what is demonstrated here.
why would the students need a teacher to do this, i mean, get this feedback? they can di it themselves! lol. instead the teacher should encourage students to use ChatGPT to get feedback “before” they submit their essay, just like they are encouraged to use grammarly (of course i am assuming that the student has written the essay him/herself) otherwise the teacher is no different from a student using AI to write the essay.
I am aware that, as a student, I will be met with much flak for this comment, but I must disagree. AI has made my life as a college student more difficult. My English professor has admitted to using AI to grade our papers. Last year, under a different professor, I received a grade of 100% for all major writing assignments.
Hi! As a TESOL practitioner, you can add a preexisting writing rubric, then the writing task, then command the chatbot to act like a teacher and grade, evaluate and comment on the learner’s writing task. You can, in fact, require ChatGPT to create a chart with the errors, its type, and the edited output. This way, you can simply create a Word Document and paste the feedback then forward it to the kids. According to the existing literature, ChatGPT error detection is higher than that of an English teacher or language instructor. That explains why the grading tend to be harsh and unjustified. Therefore, we must grade the task to what we see suitable for our grade level. I love your channel. Keep it up, boss!
Thanks for an interesting video. Did you check some essays whether the comments are appropriate? If there are many incorrect comments, it may confuse students.
Thanks for the video and for providing positive context on the benefits of AI grading. I work for a very large school system, and we manually grade over 200,000 essays annually. We are exploring AI to assist with essay grading, which will save time and provide instant feedback to our students. After all, writing is a process.
Maybe you need to refine how you teach writing. I teach English and can quickly grade a lot of papers because I know what I am looking for. No kid needs 100% of the paper analyzed by a stupid robot.

Thank you. It's great to see content that can help us use this new technology to make us better educators.
You’re welcome, Danielle! We are only scratching the surface. You’re going to be able to help so many more students now!

How do you download? Can’t find out how. Thank you so much!!!!
Do you mean how does he get information to the students? I would imagine it's more cutting and pasting.

Totally. Teachers wowed by this should quit.

PROMPT 1 : "Read and provide meaningful feedback for the author"
PROMPT 2 : "Identify the grammar and punctuation errors in this essay"
This uses typed text. Have you found a way to use handwritten documents?

@@genki2genki Sure... All robots are stupid, including your smartphone. LOL
Does this mean that the kid could do this themselves?
My question exactly.
I’ve recently heard of this, but seeing it in action? #MINDBLOWN Thanks Darin!
Hi Wendy! I thought the same thing. That’s why I made it for you🥰
