@@thehorrorarchive I think you're right. Actually, I almost changed the Bluray word to Unrated 😅😅 but the DVD version is that one, so I guess it doesn't mind saying DVD instead of Theatrical
there’s two versions of both The Grudge (2004) and The Grudge 2 (2006) the “Theatrical” versions which kept a PG-13 rating and “Unrated” versions which would have likely gotten an [R] rating
The *original* Ju-On The Grudge is the best movie.. That being said, have you seen Ju-On The Curse 1 & 2, the ones that came before Ju-On The Grudge part 1?
Hate to break it to you but I got The Grudge 2 originally when it came out on DVD and the Blu-ray versions you are showing here are all in the dvd version I have because I watched it again for the 1,000th time just a few hours ago. Perhaps these changes were made on later dvds or digital purchases? I noticed for 1408 they only have 1 version you can buy on iTunes that doesn’t have special features but it has the alternate ending as it’s default ending on digital whereas dvd has the original theatrical ending. If anything I would be comparing digital buys vs dvd/blu-ray.
@@primevalyautja1305 I didn't saw it on theaters (didn't even knew The Grudge back then haha) and I think it's underrated first of all because I think is actually THE MOST scary movie in the saga + best Kayako/Toshio moments and I love the character of Alison. I just think The Grudge 2 deserves more recognition!
It sucks that the blu ray version for the Grudge 2 is only in some regions country and not in the USA that really does sucks bro and I really do like this movie and it’s way better then the first movie and definitely better than the third movie for sure but that’s just me though and I hate to have the old school dvds when they are standard editions and not high definitions and I never seen the unrated version for the first movie but I did seen the unrated versions for the second movie though
@@tbessi12-DZ The Grudge 2 Director's Cut on Blu Ray is most definitely R rated. I have it myself. There are two versions of this movie; the lame PG13 version and the better R rated Director's Cut.

actually you’re comparing the Theatrical VS Unrated DVDs…the Blue ray happens to use both I believe…

would you edit the video of The Grudge 2 DVD vs Blu-Ray differences
The Grudge 2 is soooooo underrated. the best movie for me!! Loved those differences 😍😍😍

Well not my favorite but is good and really creepy 💙👍
i never noticed how the theatrical cut forces all those choppy edits. Scene definitely flows better when each shot holds a bit longer
And you forgot a scene when Mr kimble and Trish meeting Alisson's parents on BLURAY version
Dvd footage is the theatrical cut, while the Blu-ray is the Unrated version.
I only own the Theatrical and Unrated Director’s Cut of The Grudge (2004), I’m looking to purchase the Theatrical version of The Grudge 2 (2006)
The Unrated dvd is identical to the blu ray shots.. The uploader has used the bare bones theatrical dvd release..
@@Stigmatix666 im confused here because the theatrical DVD looks like it has more kayako
@@judyhopps9380 And less blood. A normal way to go when cutting/censoring something
@@judyhopps9380 Yes, and less blood.. Standard procedure
Kayako's movement at 2:52 is unnerving to say the least.
The DVD footage is creepy
2:47 DVD : what happened on Aubrey when Eason was getting attacked
Blu-ray: Eason got attacked by kayako no checks on Aubrey

You have the director's cut DVD then, because the DVD version in this video represents the theatrical cut and the blu-ray is the director's cut
Apparently the video title is misleading, DVD is theatrical version while blu ray is unrated/director cut
There is another shot of Miyuki holding a condom in that love hotel in bluray version
DVD IS SO GOOD
Legends try to find the difference while watching it in 240p 😎
4:05 kayako hello you
Weird because I have the DVD but it’s of the Blu ray footage. Maybe I have the unrated cut?
Ummm maybe you have the limited edition version???? What is on the cover??
It’s the Unrated Cut, I have the same DVD
Grudge_fan4444 it has Kayako’s eyes on the front and the house. It’s a red cover. Canadian bilingual version cuz I’m Canada
Of course you have the unrated dvd. There are 2 versions..
2:47 dvd : cut kayako kill eason scene blu-ray : There is a horrific scene when Eason is killed by Kayako
I want both dvd and blue ray combined
Let me Guess, The Grudge Two is your favorite?
Of course ❤️😂😛

Nice try, though
You forgot a scene when Aubrey get killed
Best bluray
Not much of a difference to pay more for the Blu-Ray...
Or even the unrated dvd.. These are from the theatrical dvd, not the unrated one
Why are they different?
PG-13 vs R ratings..
