The Flashpoint story is surprisingly great. I watched the movie and it made me want an animated series or two based off the alternate world if it was another universe, especially for Thomas Wayne Batman and Cyborg's Justice League.
Such a great animated movie, it's a real shame, you used to be able to access all of DC's animated library on HBO max, but they recently significantly reduced the amount of the movies they carry. Real bummer
another fantastic video and comparison. The Flashpoint storyline was so dark that ut sent chill down the spine and the adaptation transmits that same feeling. Learning that it was Barry's fault, the first time you read is devastating. We watch it wanting the world to return to normal. PS: Nice one with the Darth Dance and the song.
I do think the animated movie is such a fantastic adaptation of the Flashpoint comic, and although I really think this storyline is fairly overrated, I can at least greatly appreciate how well this movie adapts the storyline while keeping things that worked and improved on elements that didn't using it as a template for starting the DCAMU of animated DC films primarily adapting some of the New 52 storylines. I really love the fluid anime-esque animation they used for the movie as it gives such levels of artistic detail, great choreography with a good use of colour saturation to show how dire and severe the setting is like how grim the final battle setting looks, but also how the scenes with the Speed Force looks so electrifying and vibrant. I do however personally think they need to let go of the Flashpoint storyline and finally give Flash much needed spotlight and attention by adapting other iconic Flash storylines since the character deserves his own animated series or at least a better live action movie that isn't bad. Btw it was this movie that introduced me to Reverse Flash as a villain and made him my favourite comic book villain just for how insanely sadistically petty he is.
No he’s completely different from Deadpool, he’s got physic powers and stuff when I was researching for the video. I knew most people wouldn’t recognize him so I figured I’d make a joke.
I did a video like this a year ago on 10th anniversary of when the animated movie came out. One the simpliest fixes that the animated movie could have done in being a proper adaptation would have been to make the Reverse Flash ask "How's your mother, Barry?" before Superman took him away in the opening and that could have made Barry run back in time to LOOK how his mother's death had happened. Especially when the movie never explored WHO EVEN KILLED HER and how Barry's father was cut to non-existence as a suspect who's innocence had inspired Barry to become a CSI. But looking at how this video has gotten more views under 24 hours than my video has since it's release, the UA-cam Algorithm cleary doesn't want people to see it.
@@thenerddesk111 Hey, I noticed your channel description mention that you're open to working with other youtubers. I'm myself currently on a break from a burnout I got from my last big project, but would you be open for a collab on something neither of us has worked on next year? Seeing how both of us have been working on comic-to-adaptation comparison reviews?
While there’s no indication that all the DC animated movies made prior to Flashpoint were in the same universe. The Flashpoint Paradox does feel like a fitting end to the DC Original Animated Movies Pre-DCAMU.
Not gonna lie I've enjoyed almost every DC animated film up until the Tomorrowverse. I think the Tomorrowverse is when DC animation fell off. Which is a shame because animation has always been DC's thing. Hopefully they can go back to making legendary animated films. I would personally love to see a Kingdom Come animated film.
But man the art style is so weird, everyone is so damn BIG and out of proportion like Rob Liefeld style of drawing, and weird ass Batman lip in the movie...im down for new art all the time ,but man comics win this catergory for me.

This movie is still on Max.
@preach6991 yeah that one is thankfully but the amount they used to offer was great, now its just a handful

Relegating my boy Grifter to “a leftover variant from Deadpool and Wolverine” should be considered a federal crime.

@@thenerddesk111 in a weird way, I respect it.
The only comic book I’ve ever finished reading.
14:57 better CGI than the live action

@ depending on what my lineup looks like I wouldn’t be opposed to that, we’ll see what happens.
17:47 reminds me how the live action cut out. Reminds me of Percy Jackson
Barry Allen: “You’re his father… Martha Wayne”
Thomas Wayne: *Why did you say that name!*
I LOVE The Flashpoint
The best flash comic
17:34 there’s also geto as atom
16:48 I was expecting Sam raigle for flash and vic mignona as zoom

Same, making a comparison video on that would be sick
13:37 I can see his voice for homelander if he was in mha
Anthony Starr should be Reverse Flash
@ yea he’s the goat
15:51 I wish Harley got her chemical skin and red and blue hair. Due to is like in the comic. Since they keep yo yo accurate
1:26 agreed
3:11 LMAOOOOOOO
16:37 I mean it’s the same studio as berserk 2012
1:02 it’s not. It’s worse than 2010 last Airbender
16:23 it reminds me of Jojo

shocking I read flashpoint comic reverse flash say I'm not main villain reverse flash say you are Barry Allen villain you created timeline
Do you have some of the tie ins to flashpoint too? I never knew there were so many tie ins
No I don’t unfortunately
12:07 can evil versions of DC heroes stop killing Billy Batson?
I do not find time travel and multiverse stuff exhausting, y'all are just weak.
