- Val di Mello ( 1640m in altitude ) in Val Masino , Valtellina Is a natural reserve just 120km from Milan ,in the northern part of Lombardy , Italy . It's the biggest protected area of Lombardy .
Famous for trekking ,hiking but most of all for bouldering and rock climbing. Every year an international competition for bouldering is being held here
Sasso Remenno Is the biggest boulder in Europe .It has been noted and was already considered an important monument for many centuries In 1587, Guler von Weineck , who was then the governor of Valtellina mentioned the distinctiveness of this unique monolithic granite rock .
In the background we can admire the beauty of Monte Disgrazia ( 3678m / 12066ft ) .
Monte Disgrazia Is a mountain in the Bregaglia Range in the Italian Alps . It is the highest in the Val Masino group , situated south of the Bernina Range . It has five glaciers and five wild ridges and is a demanding climb.
Val di Mello Is worth the visit for it's simply paradise !
Vedere Val di Mello ( Comune del Val Masino ) è davvero appagante , perché questo scenario , solitario , selvaggio ma anche luminoso e davvero pochi eguali .
Il Sasso di Remenno è il più grande monolito roccioso d'Europa con un volume di oltre mezzo milione di metri cubi.
Il Monte Disgrazia è una montagna della Alpi Retiche occidentali alta 3678m . Situata nella provincia di Sondrio , è una delle vette principali della Valtellina centrale . Costuisce lo spartiacque tra la Valmalenco e la Val Masino , ed è adiacente ad altri importanti massicci , primo tra tutti quello della Bernina . Il Disgrazia appare decisamente imponente grazie alla sua notevole altitudine e alla copertura glaciale rispetto alle cime circostanti.

Did you go during summer ?
No this was in September. This place is full during summer . Plus you have to book before coming in the summertime for this place is protected and they only accept a limited number of people . 😊❣️

@@Outlabyrinth I wouldn't say it's bad ,in fact the ambiance is nice . I like avoiding the crowd , but that's just me... 😊
Maybe try towards the end of August, but definitely not the 15th of July ,that's the worse day . Or go on the weekdays and not the weekend. If you like trekking or climbing ,you can also get a hotel there. It's not really expensive ....
