After watching this a few times, I have to say I enjoy your arrangement the most. It is incredibly clean and maintains the precision of a piano composition without compromises. It must have been quite the challenge to put this together.
Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah, I noticed most people changed the key or struggled with playing passages legato. Before I put a song out, I make sure that it "speaks" well on the guitar. In a practical sense, that means I try to avoid over-juicing up an arrangement if it creates other problems.

I use to go to ultimate guitar and mixed up 3-4 different tab sheets just to make it sound close enough. This is a master piece that sounds just like the actual song! Bravo.

This is beautiful. Absolutely love this piece. I did piano lessons back in my late teens and I asked my tutor if I could learn this a few months into it. He chuckled (which was justified). But having done classical guitar lessons for just under a year now, I think I can tackle this. The thought of being able to play this the way you do is just... No words

To me this song represents a long journey full of love, courage, loss, and pain. When I hear this, I remember the hard and good times; feeling bless for where I landed. However, it was not without its sacrifices and pain. When I was 18, I was coming out of foster care and enlisted during the surge in Iraq. By the time I was 22, I was a hardened combat veteran with 2 combat tours. I went on to do 3 more in Afghanistan as an NCO. I saw first hand the impact of War. The sight of blood and carnage no longer bothered me. I did not fear death, but sometimes wished for it. I was broken. My only goal is to ensure my sons will never have to go through what I did at such a young age. Sometimes knowing that I have ensured that they will have a childhood brings tears to my eyes.
Desiring the best for your children is the goal of every parent. The human adventure is full of pitfalls and it is easy to get lost in it yourself. We sometimes forget the reasons that brought us to where we are today. There is this music by Nobuo Uematsu which makes this flame shine within us with each listen and reminds us that we must get up every day despite all that it implies, because we live.
