Omg I used to play this game when I was a kid and it always had a strange vibe. I felt as if something was watching me all the time.. it's a very strange and empty world idk I'm glad to see it wasn't all in my head! LOL
i could never play minecraft by myself/home alone because i always felt like someone else was in the game with me (my childhood fear of herobrine never helped either lmao) but yeah thats why i often opt for multiplayer or very active games like the Sims4 or sso :P
I never could wake up in the dream by falling asleep. I can always wake up by falling down, doesnt need to be super high up but few times i had to commit a big jump that would end a person irl. I always wake up sweaty from that. My dreams are also more complex (things happen when i leave, i see my feet) to the point they are messing with my brain, like i wake up irl but things that happened in my dream transfer to reality and blend. It takes me solid 15min to pick myself together and realise what reality is. When i realise i might be dreaming i look if ppl are blinking, if they arent and i want to sleep normally i literally climb a tree or stairs and jump. I have no control if i can sleep normally or i take part in those horrors (soemtimes they are nice tho) I think dreams are way worse than paranoia caused by older games, tho it also exists (i remember old wolf quest caused it for me)
When was this game released? Is it available at all today? Also by the way personally I have good experiences lucid dreaming because I have full control of the dream and also can wake up whenever I like, I'm sorry you have such a disconcerting experience.

I played old sso.. but don't relate. Maybe because I was 7 years old and was enjoying rping and annoying ppl 😂
Yes, it's one of the things I hate in actual sso, all that sensation is gone.
