- What can you possibly say about this beautiful song and Engelbert's strong and emotional delivery of the song? Is ''Il Mondo'' so wonderful or is it due to his way of singing it? Well my opinion is that YES the song is extremely beautiful BUT when sung with his velvet voice it just takes us to paradise , heaven... in other words to Engelbert's amazing world.

Then and now, Engelbert Humperdinck is always the best. His vintage years voice is ever-so powerful. He can sing the happy and sad songs with so much passion and depth and yet he is humble. He is an all-time my favorite. I have been around in time to remember "Release Me". Engelbert Humperdinck is a gem. ❤❤🌈🔥👌💯 🤩💙❣🤩

wow, I was only 14/15 and in high school. it's when I bought my first Engelbert Humperdinck album, shocked the hell (sorry) out of my parents! no Led Zeppelin or Pink Floyd this time. I heard Release Me on the radio and I was amazed at how well this man could sing! had to have his Greatest Hits that had just come out, he has been #1 with me ever since! Other male performers have tried but no one can top Engelbert Humperdinck.

I was so busy raising my family that I missed those early years. Tv was not something I got to sit down to watch. Now I know what I have missed. So sad that I did. I grew up on a steady diet of Humperdinck and my mom took to me to a few shows in the late 80s into the 90s. He's amazing. During those shows he would do a song without a mic and you could hear him project to the back of the theater.

El Mondo was released sometime in early seventies if i was not mistaken. I seem to like this song very much tjen i was walking at the Orchard Road, it happened i was the record shop selling all kind of Lp record then i discovered they sell Engelbert Humperdinck record, immediately i bought his re cord right away. I still have with me in my collection. I discovered he has a wonderful voice and very pleasant to hear sing this song. Thank God i made the right choice. Your voice of singing made my heart melt. Thank you sir.
