The question is... Did prophet Mohammed say follow "the Quran and my Sunnah" or follow "the Quran and my Ahlul Bayt"? Can someone prove it with hadith's from Muslim or Sahih Bukhari please.... thank you.
"According to most authentic traditions in collections of both Sunni and Shi’a, Ahlul-Bayt (People of the House) of the Prophet are one of the two most precious Symbols of Islam after the departure of the Prophet (S). There are numerous traditions in the collection of both schools that the Prophet (S) has reminded us to stick to these two weighty things (al-Thaqalain), namely Qur'an and Ahlul-Bayt, in order not to go astray after him."
Who/m are the "Ahlul-bayt"? Narrated by Aisha: One day the Prophet (S) came out afternoon wearing a black cloak (upper garment or gown; long coat), then al-Hasan Ibn ‘Ali came and the Prophet accommodated him under the cloak, then al-Husayn came and entered the cloak, then Fatimah came and the Prophet entered her under the cloak, then ‘Ali came and the Prophet entered him to the cloak as well. Then the Prophet recited: "Verily Allah intends to keep off from you every kind of uncleanness O’ People of the House (Ahlul-Bayt), and purify you a perfect purification (the last sentence of Verse 33:33)." Sunni reference: • Sahih Muslim, Chapter of virtues of companions, section of the virtues of the Ahlul-Bayt of the Prophet (S), 1980 Edition Pub. in Saudi Arabia, Arabic version, v4, p1883, Tradition #61. Below is the Arabic text of above tradition given in Sahih Muslim: خرج النبي غداة وعليه مرط مرحل من شعر أسود فجاء الحسن فأدخله معه ، ثم جاء الحسين فأدخله معه ، ثم جاءت فاطمة فأدخلها، ثم جاء علي فأدخله ثم قال: إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنكُمُ الرِّجْسَ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ وَيُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيرً

Allah intends only to remove from you the impurity [of sin], O people of the [Prophet's] household, and to purify you with [extensive] purification."
Instead of debating what is right or wrong, which Hadith to accept or reject, I think the Great Almighty has given us something called 'Conscience' and we should all use that.
BUILD UP THE CONSCIENCE larry lack Consult with good people. Test your conscience and gain experience and knowledge. Share your decision gained from the conscience with your closest people and take their opinions before the final decision. Your main problem is in decision making only. You must train your mind to do the righteous deeds . Generally every human being commits every thing according to the way of their imaginations. Therefore they reflect little good deeds and more bad deeds. Before committing anything we should put the said things into our minds and check whether it's right or wrong good or bad, then always you will find your conscience have taken the right and the good. I recommend to build up this within the mind. As you said some people are reluctant to put conscience in action. If you believe that right and good things will bring you the eternal happiness you will be able to react to the conscience. Good luck.

to those who say that without hadith we wouldn't know how to pray, i say, prayer is passed from father to son and from mother to daughter, so even without hadith, we would all know how to pray (through actions and not just sayings) i am not saying that all hadithes are fabricated, however a large sum of them might, and that makes it extremely difficult to check and see which is authentic and is fabricated.
I'm not Muslim myself, but I have researched the Quran and Islam. Anyway, yeah, don't most Muslims learn prayer through observation of their friends and family doing it? I mean, there isn't a Hadith that gives clear and step-by-step instructions on how to pray.
The Qur’an doesn't tell you everything, such as who are the Companions of the Prophet Muḥammad (صلّى ٱلله عليه وآله وسلّم), apart from his adopted son Zayd (33:37), so no, we do need aḥadith, while making sure that they agree with the Qur’an.
Good interview. It's refreshing to see someone thinking logically. Don't see that much often from Muslims nowadays, they are always ready to fight and even do takfir for rejection of hadiths. Even though that the Quran warns us a lot about following hadith from anyone but Allah.
In my humble opinion, Quraan clearly says that "Follow the Quraan and follow the Messenger". Prophet Muhammad carried the dual responsibility of being a "Prophet" as well as the "Messenger" of Quraan. Had Allah (SWT) ordained us to follow Prophet Muhammad, then it would have made sense to follow his life and attributes (which have been compiled into Hadith). And how can Quraan be followed without following what the "Messenger" delivers. If Allah (SWT) wanted all sayings of Prophet Muhammad were to be followed, he would have definitely ensured somehow that all of it remained untarnished and immutable (which Allah (SWT) certainly did ensure for the message of Quraan itself. So we need to understand the fine line between Muhammad the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) and Muhammad the Messenger. Allah (SWT) did not mention anywhere in the Quraan to follow Prophet Muhammad. There is a very clear distinction between following the Prophet and following the Messenger. Hope it makes sense?
I wish more and more muslims learn and at least know about what the difference between sunnah of the prophet and hadiths i.e reports of that sunnah. Thank you Shaikh Dr Shabir Ally
We should try to understand hadees in the light of Quran if hadees is against the teachings of Quran we should reject and deny it without any hesitation
How a simple, logical and natural deen has been transformed into a man made religion full of absurd rules and regulations, based on speculations and allegations? By giving more and more power to hadit, often over the Qur'an. La hawla wa la quwatta illa Billahi. La ila ill Allah!

Beware of Hadith, what an indictment on judgement day! 100% proof that by following Hadiths Islam has lost its soul. If we want to follow the Nabi SAW's Sunnah then we can only follow the nobal Quran just as he did, he never authorised us to follow anything from his own mouth.
Isandro Fidel "Go educate yourself" 👆 That's not being straightforward, that's plain rude! You took this argument into a completely unrelated domain. The prophet commanded is to do many things in the hadeeth and we need to obey what he said to his companions
Dear Dr, your statements are very clear to anyone who understands English. Your statement raise a Question which is "BUT'. On this base one should not have any doubts on his or her faith while using or quote from Bukhari or any other Hadiths Books ppl have doubts (If, But, etc.). My question is Can't a Muslim live his life on the base of Quran's (Word of Allah). or Quran is not enough to be a Muslim.May Allah Guide us in the right Path. Ameen
@Timbo lati if you read your scripture you should become Muslim and believe in 1 God Only and Alone. But if you project your belief onto the scripture then that's your choice.
couple questions: If the study of Hadith is important to the understanding of Islam why is it taking 1200 years to complete? if Sahih al-Bukhari is the first Hadith collection written down, why did it take over 200 years to write down? Why is there such a long isnad (chain of reporters)?, considering Islam conquered Persia, Syria and Egypt early in Islamic history and those nations had long histories of writing @4m39s How can you used "empirical knowledge" to study Hadith? since Empirical evidence requires observation and experimentation Thank you, God bless
Rjoda Sverd They mean to tell that whole Arab was illiterate and only Persian knows how to write 😂 funny isn't it? Arabs compiled Qur'an but not Hadith's. Evidence is clear.
Rjoda Sverd bro , first book of hadith is shiaa , written by a companion and historian called sulaym al hilal.. anyway before 6 sunni books there was a vast shiaa history and hadith books , not graded sahih because shiaa dont call sahih any book only Quran.. Salam
where is the orignal written copy of quran? why the copy of quran at the time of prophet is not available.???? textual slaves are not useful as these are called lakeer k fakeer...GOD will never bless such people
31:21: Allah said: When it is said to them "Follow what Allah has revealed" but they say "Rather we follow what we found our parents has devoted to. Even if Satan is calling them to the suffering of the Blaze? Yet among the people is he who argues about Allah without knowledge, without guidance and without an enlightening scripture.
a couple of things im realizing about hadiths. 1. they are not divinely preserved so even the strongest could be wrong. 2. the prophet muhammad's (saw) was sent for all mankind as an example to follow his positive character traits and not his every action because he was a man from the 7th century who was dealing with the rationale of people in his time. 3. when in doubt of a hadith research what both progressive and conservative scholars have to say, and follow the middle way you derive from that research if you do not agree with either side. 4. There should really be an effort by all the scholars every 4 to 8 years to come together and review the meaning of the hadiths in its historical context and see if they can justly be applied in modern times. The reason i say this is because the hadiths have been clearly used to control the people through older scholarly interpretations using the rationale of older times rather than modern times.
That's why, It's important to follow Tabeins (Imam Abu Hanifa (R) especially) when it comes to accepting or rejecting Fiqh law. Because, tabeins were able to gain knowledge directly from sahabis, which was not possible for hadis' compilers like BuH'ari, Muslim, Tirmiz'i etc tabe tabeins.
One of my preferred hadiths is from Sahih Muslim: A person asked Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) about the eating of the lizard, whereupon he said. I neither eat it, nor do I prohibit it.
Can’t deny the authentic Hadith ,by reading only quran you cannot complete your islam action eg ; prayer details not mentioned in quran, zakat details not mentioned like that many things,so both quran and Hadith you need to follow, but if something is against the quran or fabricated it’s easily rejected .
Though it's true that a number of aḥadith contradict each other and the Qur’an, the Qur’an doesn't tell you everything, such as who are the Companions of the Prophet Muḥammad (صلّى ٱلله عليه وآله وسلّم), apart from his adopted son Zayd (33:37), so we do need aḥadith, while making sure that they agree with the Qur’an.
@@sufiyanpendhari8690 It wasn't written 150 years after the Prophet ṣallā llāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam, this is a false claim. Yes it is true many great scholars like Imam Bukhari may have compiled hadiths after 150 years, but hadiths or traditions of the Prophet ṣallā llāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam existed before. "it was transmitted by memory and as we all know memory can't be trusted" This is one of the dumbest claims I heard with all due respect, do you not know the Qur'an was also transmitted through memory? Think about this hadith in it's conventional definition refers to the traditions of the Prophet ṣallā llāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam, the Qur'an obliges us to follow the Prophet ṣallā llāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam and commands us to obey him. How are you going to obey him ṣallā llāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam without following his ṣallā llāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam speech, traditions etc.
@@dersuchende1531 The statement of the Prophet ṣallā llāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam is enough, Allah commanded us to obey his messenger ṣallā llāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam, remember Allah destroyed nations in the Qur'an for not following his messenger ṣallā llāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam such as the example of Nuh (AS), Lut (AS) etc.
The prophet did NOT gave clear commandment to collect his sayings. His words are not Gods words. His actions are purely in conformity with his society and the practice prevalent at that time. We should consider Hadith are purely historical background and must not be used as source of law because Islam universal and not confine to a particular race and community in its practice.
***** The speech of Rasullah is not wahy. Wahy is from God thru Gabreil. The Rasul utter the wahy. This blunder has cause too much problem in aqidah of the Muslims and cause confusion.
the hadith is basically a narration or gossip claimed by people that they heard other people heard the prophet said such and such. I cannot rely religion based on gossips. quran is a complet scripture it doesnt rely on gossips to be practiced.
And who authenticate them? The prophet never gave strict instruction to collect hadith. HAdith are more political campaign used by political leaders to justify their political ambitions. No wonder you have hadith by the shias and sunnis each narration supporting their claim and they kill among themselves to justify political leadership. HAdith is roots of all these crisis within ISlam. the QUran is enough and apply the religion according to modern needs of time and circumstance. Our life must not be regulated according to the hadith and kind of lives of Muslims 1500 years ago to run our present life.
There are two major part in a hadith Matn(content) and Sanad(chain of narrators) . Imam Shafie first gave the definition of what is a sahih hadith. Basically he said if all the narrators are trust worthy with sound memory in a sanad the hadith is sahih . This is not proper science its a definition for hearsay. this science does not care about Matn or text. Later scholars like Buckari/Muslim started to research about 5 to 6 generations of people except for the last narrator they never met. Because almost all of them were dead. The research is to see weather these people are trustworthy or not. Basically what they did was to judge the characters of people they never met. The Quran says even the Rasool Allah don't know the hypocrite who are living around him at his time . Quran 9-101 But these scholars after 250 years knew how to filter these guys. This is the so called science of hadith these scholars pushing through our throat as infallible .
😊 It seems to me that what is at evident issue here is that, some of us read a translation of the holy Koran using google and then feel brave and confident to interpret verses of the Koran. The referred to scholars “after 250 years” had completed memorising the Koran in early childhood, then spent their entire childhood, their youth, then adulthood learning the intricacies of Arabic language in relation to Koran, it’s interpretations, the transmitted knowledge of the Prophet pbuh in those early days at the feet of one recognised scholar after another until ultimately being widely accepted as authorities on Islam in all its depth. After Decades spent learning at the feet of recognised scholars and nights spent in Prayers great scholars like Imams Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi, Ahmed, Bukhari, Muslim, transmitted the knowledge they by Allah’s Grace learned to their posterity. How wonderful it would be if we also recognised the absolute need for us to acquire the tools necessary to delve into the meanings of the Holy Koran in all its richness and myriad depths of meanings. Let’s pray that inshallah Allah Guides us to the path of Knowledge of our Holy Koran and the holy Prophet pbuh. 😊🤗 salaam
You misunderstood. Bukhari and their generation said who are good from the previous generation. The good from the previous generation said who are good from the generation before it. The good from the generation before it said who is good from before it. It continued like that untill the prophet. There is no weak spot in hadith sciences. I have thought of multiple possibilities in my head. All of them have answers.
If the hadith is contrary and said something not mentioned in the quran and doesnt follow the character or sunnah of muhammed its in valid And why follow the hadith the quran is the only book that will stand on the day if judgement it is enough
So basically the books of Hadith are a mixture of truth and falsehood. Hmm. Qur'an 2:42 "And mix not the truth with falsehood nor hide the truth while you know." I think that settles the matter.
@@cowdyimammurrahtabari973 How is that not in context? The books of hadith are a collection of truth and falsehood. Check. Then the Qur'an says “Do not follow that of which you knoweth not; remember, your sense of sight, hearing and cognitive capabilities will be questioned”. (Quran 17:36) If you don't know which is truth and which is falsehood don't follow it. How is that not clear to you?
@@alsdyall Did you forget that there are sciences of hadith which distinguishes the the truth from falsehood? Since science is mixed with truth and falsehood, don't believe in it then. You take Quran verses out of context like those islamophobes who take verses regarding war and allegories like sun setting in a murky pool out of context.
@@alsdyall When I said sciences of hadith and science, I meant to different things. One is a method for distinguishing authentic from inauthentic hadiths, another is science in a tradition sense.
@@cowdyimammurrahtabari973 In traditional science when the evidence isn't crystal clear you follow probabilities and you know they are probabilities. You don't believe in them, and you don't act like the conclusions drawn from them are absolute and binding. Your mind remains open for new information and observations which could make it more certain. That's how science progresses. 'Hadith science' is far from science in our understanding of actual science. It is a complex system of analysis that only scholars uphold. It is based on the premise that the hadith aren't contradictory and can be reconciled, when many of them are just plain fabrications. The other false premise this "science" is based on is the belief that a hadith is 'sound' or 'sahih' based on the chain of transmission alone without even looking at the text (matn). So you could have a good transmission with a fabricated text. And there is a history of not only fabricating hadith but of fabricating isnads as well. As many have noticed the clean unbroken insads are usually later ones than the earlier hadith without solid isnads. So you have Matn that cannot be verified, isnads that can only be verified by chonological consistency and the character or ability of the transmitter which is hardly science at all. And keep in mind we are talking about pure hearsay. Hearsay isn't allowed in court for the simple reason that there is no way to verify it. And the few exception of hearsay that are allowed in court only serve as pieces of evidence, not conclusive evidence and certainly not something to base all of your beliefs and way of life upon. That's ridiculous. Hadith may serve as pieces of evidence of history but not much more, like everything else they have to be weighed tested and considered in light of all the other evidence available. But to treat them as revelation on par with the Qur'an is not only ridiculous but contradicts the Qur'an itself. "And of men is he who takes instead frivolous discourse (hadith) to lead astray from Allah's path without knowledge, and to take it for a mockery; these shall have an abasing chastisement."HQ: 31:6; Qur'an 45:6 "These are the verses of Allah which We recite to you in truth. Then in what hadith after Allah and His verses will they believe?"

Question from a Christian brother, please need your view and answer. Thanks I have been reading and studying the Quran a lot. It appears to me that Muhammad (PBUH) respected the Before Books. I cannot find any ayat stating that the Before Books have been corrupted or changed. The passages that talk about the Jews twisting the words of the Torah do not talk about the actual Book being corrupted. I cannot find where the Christians corrupted or changed the Injil. Of course the Jews never accepted the Injil. It appears to me that at the time of the prophet, the Injil was uncorrupted and unchanged. Can you point out to me any ayat stating that Christians corrupted the Injil? Need assistance please This is from a Christian brother. Jazak ALLAH
Not necessary to verify in quoran verify original bible with that of those reading and following today just one in injeel nowhere mention that Jesus is god hewas crucified and raised from grave these r interpolation and insertation pls verify
In the Qur'an, Allah SWT promised to protect the Qur'an from corruption, that should be evident enough as the Qur'an is unchanged regardless of time or Islamic sects (we all have the same Qur'an, while different sects of Christians have different versions of the Bible, the same applies to the Torah) it implies that the other books were corrupted, also the Qur'an refers to the Injeel not the bible, as in the original version before the bible, also you can tell the scriptures of the Bible are corrupted as there have been many different versions

What about the hadith that women shouldn't pray or fast in their period...? Is it authentic...? Oh God...what if women HAVE to fast and pray during menstruation, but we don't because of some hadith ?
I find it’s not the “authentic ness” about the Hadith it’s what some of them entail. Example, some are spiritual clearly because it’s impossible to have this in the real world, some are rather discriminatory towards women, some of these seem like a lot of person opinions and beliefs as they contradict or don’t expand on the Quran. Thoughts? It’s basically exactly like Shabir Alley has said but some Muslims take Hadiths to be the be all end all and use it as proofs when debating
Can anyone can explain me this: every schoolar would say rejecting a sahih is making us a kafir. So how we should understand dr shabir ally then? I mean it sounds logical what he speaks but many schoolar would disagree
The Quran says ’And do not (!) write down what I say you except from the Qur’an; there will be people who will be divided and the evil among them will write down fables and say it was me’’. The Qur'an does not mention the act of stoning (Rajm) for any crime. Contrary to popular belief, the punishment for Adultery (Zina) in the Quran is not stoning to death but flogging with a 100 lashes (if the accuser can provide 4 witnesses to the act). Although stoning for zina is not mentioned in the Quran, all schools of traditional jurisprudence agreed on the basis of hadith that it is to be punished by stoning if the offender is muhsan (adult, free, Muslim, and having been married), with some extending this punishment to certain other cases and milder punishment
Assalamualiakum, very informative,i like your vedios and talk shows. My question is can you give me any kind of information regarding segrigated marriage concept, are they according to quran or hadith and are they compulsory
So according to the categories of false hadith, the hadith that says one should wear clothes that don't go lower than the ankles (if you wear out of arrogance, then hell is the punishment) is false?
@Kuffar Legion Well, there are no hadith that has the same weight as quranic verses; therefore, the hadith I mentioned above doesn't apply to us and so we don't have to follow it. So you just made me answer my question?
@Kuffar Legion Oh I thought u were a Muslim. Anyway, I see your point. But this movement will be difficult since an overwhelming majority of Muslims apply hadith.
@@detailedemoji4615 dont listen to him, sunnis didnt used to blindly follow hadith like some suggest today, search saeed1 on youtube for more evidence regarding this topic
Of course. Get rid of the Hadiths that are embarrassing and damaging to the moral character of the Prophet, and all the hadiths that doesn't make sense so Muslims don't have to make up explanations for them or try to hide them.😂
Not a single narration from Fathima az Zahra include in bhukari hadith compilation. She is Prophet Muhammad beloved daughter! Why is that? It's been told that's bhukari can/has memories 100,000 to 300,000 authentic hadiths. Why writes/compile only 7,000 something. Many incomplete hadiths written repeatedly in his compilation! What is his intention(s)? Something fishy about him! However, we can only know for sure if we have his(bhukari) old manuscripts that date back to his time or 10th to 12th cen. Do we have that?
so if haditths are not to be trusted , does that mean there willbe no dajjal that will appear and isa peace be upon him will not appear can someone explain because I haven't read all the quran yet .
trevor cast Quran does not mention about any dajjal ...Quran has a brief description about Issa pbuh but not a single verse vch proves That Issa pbuh will be back.. Most of the hadiths are just to defame and degrade Islam..
the annointed one so what about hadiths about sunnah salahs and the such? should we follow them and offer sunnah salah? what if they're fabricated hadith - wouldn't that then be bid'ah?
So what are the basic Islam? So many scholars,so many opinions. One of the hadiths I heard about is;We do not know if Allah will accept our salaah so why are we doing salaah?these hadiths make me kind of depressed and hadiths say most of those doing good and salaah will end up in hell!!!!does these hadiths not contradict the Quran????? Dear Brothers n Sisters. I am a recent convert in need of assistance. I am being challenged by a group. Can you please show me how to pray from Book of Prayers in Sahi Bukhari or Sahi Muslim? Can you provide 1 single narration which details complete prayer (names, time (when), content (what to say), technique/method)? If single narration is not possible, can you provide all the hadith which completely detail prayer (name, time, content, technique/method)? You can provide either hadith name and number or complete narration. Lastly, Bukharis been quoted saying he prayed 2 rakat prior to recording each narration, how did he learn prayer? Can you please also provide the hadith text he read which details prayer? Your reply is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
May Allah guide me when I say that I have found no declaration in the Quran mandating the establishment of a theocratic nation-state. Further it is my personal opinion the relationship between Allah and the Judaic community was compromised by individuals making this same mistake. I want to avoid this course yet much of the hadith, sunnah and their interpretation seems to move in this direction. Are there others who have any of these similar concerns?
Generally all Hadiths are weak because they were not preserved so classical scholars accepted Hadiths if the Hadith was sound meaning it’s common sense rational and don’t contradict the contextual reading of the Quran.
There is no such thing as coming of dujjal and the reappearance of Huzrat e Essa PBUH .Quran is silent about these controvercial issues .It was the belief of the former ehl e kitab and muslims also added it in their beliefs
omer was questioning people hadith i agree but all hadith are documented now !reading the quran is great thing ready small sura for thos who dont have time to ready the entire quran so they ready important sura like al samad or yaseen!
He says many Problematic things and misleads people knowingly or unknowingly Allah knows best. According to him hadith saying someone reading Surah Ikhlaas thrice will get reward as though he has reading entire Quran, so he is saying it is as though hadith is saying not to read entire Quran just read Surah Ikhlas thrice, so this hadith may be problematic. First thing is Allah gives reward and He gives whatever rewards He wishes. Quran says if you save one life it is as though you have saved entire humanity (Quran 5:32). Does it mean Quran is saying not to save other lives??? Ans is No but according to him Quran is saying just save one life instead of many lives and get the reward of saving humanity He should sit with a good scholar and learn deen properly. Disappointing response from Shabir Ally, he is not qualified to answer these questions. Disheartening to see how many are misguided in the comments section.
Sir please let me know .Quran was preserved by Allah himself .so now no one can change Quran then how can we make Quran equally parellel to hadiths .while hadith are man made compiled afterc200 yeras quran revealed To follow Quran is to follw Allah and his messenger its as simple as to understood by anyone
This will become problematic because if you have no understanding then you Will reject something thinking it’s goes against the Quran when you don’t have knowledge of either , seek knowledge prior to saying what you will accept or reject!
Just follow a school of Fiqh, until you have the capacity to be a Mujtahid. You don't need to reinvent the wheel, and the purpose of Fiqh is to outline for you a position on the "Umūr-Mutashābihāt", to give you a clear statement of where the boundaries are, so that you are free to then focus your effort on the most critical work, which is the reform of the Qalb, as per the narration of the Messenger ﷺ: "Indeed, The halal is clear and the haram is clear, and between them are matters unclear that are unknown to most people. Whoever is wary of these unclear matters has absolved his religion and honor. And whoever indulges in them has indulged in the haram. It is like a shepherd who herds his sheep too close to preserved sanctuary, and they will eventually graze in it. Every king has a sanctuary, and the sanctuary of Allah is what He has made haram. There lies within the body a piece of flesh. If it is sound, the whole body is sound; and if it is corrupted, the whole body is corrupted. Verily this piece is the heart."
2: 78. And among them are uneducated who know the Scripture only through hearsay, and they only speculate. 79. So woe to those who write the Scripture with their own hands, and then say, “This is from God,” that they may exchange it for a little price. Woe to them for what their hands have written, and woe to them for what they earn. 80. And they say, “The Fire will not touch us except for a number of days.” Say, “Have you received a promise from God-God never breaks His promise-or are you saying about God what you do not know?” 81. Indeed, whoever commits misdeeds, and becomes besieged by his iniquities-these are the inmates of the Fire, wherein they will dwell forever. 82. As for those who believe and do righteous deeds-these are the inhabitants of Paradise, wherein they will dwell forever.
If you didn’t have isnaad you wouldn’t have the claim that the Quran is from Allah! Alhamdulilah for the isnaad and for Allah preservation of the Quran and the Sunnah!
Hearsay can never be taken as a scientific fact. You cannot prove it. You can prove the Quran to be divine though. So my question is, why do people follow hearsay and let it supersede the divine book. And even add things on top of what the book of divinity asked for; just based on old tradition?
- The Fact that the hadiths need to be authenticated is proof that they are not convincing and thus cannot be the word of God. To uphold words other then the word of God is pure shirk..!
Narrated by Aisha:
One day the Prophet (S) came out afternoon wearing a black cloak (upper garment or gown; long coat), then al-Hasan Ibn ‘Ali came and the Prophet accommodated him under the cloak, then al-Husayn came and entered the cloak, then Fatimah came and the Prophet entered her under the cloak, then ‘Ali came and the Prophet entered him to the cloak as well. Then the Prophet recited: "Verily Allah intends to keep off from you every kind of uncleanness O’ People of the House (Ahlul-Bayt), and purify you a perfect purification (the last sentence of Verse 33:33)."

Sadique Hussain but our consciences are not perfect
lebin Payne
Read and understand Quran.
Think and consult. Allah will develop your conscience.
sadaat I like it, What if i am in doubt if my conscience is right or wrong.
BUILD UP THE CONSCIENCE
larry lack
Consult with good people.

@@technoloverish yes thats true
The Qur’an doesn't tell you everything, such as who are the Companions of the Prophet Muḥammad (صلّى ٱلله عليه وآله وسلّم), apart from his adopted son Zayd (33:37), so no, we do need aḥadith, while making sure that they agree with the Qur’an.
In that way you wouldn't be able to check against how the evolution of prayer happen over long period of time. To check that you need some Hadith.

Good interview. It's refreshing to see someone thinking logically. Don't see that much often from Muslims nowadays, they are always ready to fight and even do takfir for rejection of hadiths. Even though that the Quran warns us a lot about following hadith from anyone but Allah.
Not only Hadith, anything goes along with Quran, I accept it, otherwise not.
Hope it makes sense?

a couple of things im realizing about hadiths.
1. they are not divinely preserved so even the strongest could be wrong.
2. the prophet muhammad's (saw) was sent for all mankind as an example to follow his positive character traits and not his every action because he was a man from the 7th century who was dealing with the rationale of people in his time.
3. when in doubt of a hadith research what both progressive and conservative scholars have to say, and follow the middle way you derive from that research if you do not agree with either side.
One of my preferred hadiths is from Sahih Muslim:
A person asked Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) about the eating of the lizard, whereupon he said.
@Safeel K So we have to check which aḥadith agree with the Qur’an, and which ones don't.
But why does the Hadiths teach us to believe in Mahdi, Second coming of Jesus and Dajjal?
These things are not mentioned in the quran.

It wasn't written 150 years after the Prophet ṣallā llāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam, this is a false claim. Yes it is true many great scholars like Imam Bukhari may have compiled hadiths after 150 years, but hadiths or traditions of the Prophet ṣallā llāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam existed before.
"it was transmitted by memory and as we all know memory can't be trusted"
This is one of the dumbest claims I heard with all due respect, do you not know the Qur'an was also transmitted through memory?
A pleasurable sense of truthful speech. May Allah upgrade the connection among believers and their leaders. 😁
Finally an big update to weak hadiths and some very bad interpretations.
May Allah bless u all.
Dr shabir ally ur statements are always very kind statements, may Allah bless u
The Quran is enough all these hadiths were written hundreds of years after the death of the Prophet. This is same as Luke , Mark , Paul and Matthew .
***** Give me an example of that.
the hadith is basically a narration or gossip claimed by people that they heard other people heard the prophet said such and such. I cannot rely religion based on gossips. quran is a complet scripture it doesnt rely on gossips to be practiced.
you are not one those who were alive during the revelation of that verse. the prophet SAW is already dead. you follow only God and your goverment.
Our life must not be regulated according to the hadith and kind of lives of Muslims 1500 years ago to run our present life.
another wise video. thank you
Only follow Quran, by flowing Quran your following Allah and all the Rosul of Allah..
There are two major part in a hadith Matn(content) and
Sanad(chain of narrators) . Imam Shafie first gave the definition of
what is a sahih hadith. Basically he said if all the narrators are trust
worthy with sound memory in a sanad the hadith is sahih . This is not
proper science its a definition for hearsay. this science does not care
about Matn or text.
Later scholars like Buckari/Muslim started to research about 5 to 6
generations of people except for the last narrator they never met.
Because almost all of them were dead. The research is to see weather
these people are trustworthy or not. Basically what they did was to
judge the characters of people they never met.
The Quran says even the Rasool Allah don't know the hypocrite who are
living around him at his time . Quran 9-101
But these scholars after 250 years knew how to filter these guys.
This is the so called science of hadith these scholars pushing through
our throat as infallible .
😊🤗 salaam
Wellsaid.

If the hadith is contrary and said something not mentioned in the quran and doesnt follow the character or sunnah of muhammed its in valid
And why follow the hadith the quran is the only book that will stand on the day if judgement it is enough
So basically the books of Hadith are a mixture of truth and falsehood. Hmm.
Qur'an 2:42 "And mix not the truth with falsehood nor hide the truth while you know." I think that settles the matter.
It doesn't. Don't take things out of context like those people who say sun sets in murky water.
(Quran 17:36)
If you don't know which is truth and which is falsehood don't follow it.
"And of men is he who takes instead frivolous discourse (hadith) to lead astray from Allah's path without knowledge, and to take it for a mockery; these shall have an abasing chastisement."HQ: 31:6; Qur'an 45:6

So will we be asked about following Hadiths on the day of Judgement? I guess no. Anyone??
Same goes for the compilation of the Quran
@Mohamud Ahmed it was compiled in the reign of the 3rd caliph. The last known Quran today doesn't even have vowels so it mean anything.

Question from a Christian brother, please need your view and answer. Thanks
I have been reading and studying the Quran a lot.
Need assistance please
This is from a Christian brother. Jazak ALLAH
Not necessary to verify in quoran verify original bible with that of those reading and following today just one in injeel nowhere mention that Jesus is god hewas crucified and raised from grave these r interpolation and insertation pls verify
In the Qur'an, Allah SWT promised to protect the Qur'an from corruption, that should be evident enough as the Qur'an is unchanged regardless of time or Islamic sects (we all have the same Qur'an, while different sects of Christians have different versions of the Bible, the same applies to the Torah) it implies that the other books were corrupted,
also the Qur'an refers to the Injeel not the bible, as in the original version before the bible, also you can tell the scriptures of the Bible are corrupted as there have been many different versions

Surely you will be answerable to Allah swt if you preach people the words of people whom you knew not from Adam. Allah swt only said in the Quran to follow or obey Him & Muhammad pbuh as His Prophet & Messenger because of his being the one chosen to deliver to Mankind the Quran as Final Testament of Allah swt & nothing else did Allah swt asked people to follow from him other than the Quran, except the Sunnah (actions) in Islam as in prayer & Hadj. Words of Muhammad pbuh other than the Quran is of his personal decision as man & nothing has to do with the Quran. It is Allah swt for 19 times in the Quran Who says to Himself as teacher to man what he knew not.
The Quran says
’And do not (!) write down what I say you except from the Qur’an; there will be people who will be divided and the evil among them will write down fables and say it was me’’.

Just follow a school of Fiqh, until you have the capacity to be a Mujtahid. You don't need to reinvent the wheel, and the purpose of Fiqh is to outline for you a position on the "Umūr-Mutashābihāt", to give you a clear statement of where the boundaries are, so that you are free to then focus your effort on the most critical work, which is the reform of the Qalb, as per the narration of the Messenger ﷺ:
"Indeed, The halal is clear and the haram is clear, and between them are matters unclear that are unknown to most people.

78. And among them are uneducated who know the Scripture only through hearsay, and they only speculate.
79. So woe to those who write the Scripture with their own hands, and then say, “This is from God,” that they may exchange it for a little price. Woe to them for what their hands have written, and woe to them for what they earn.
80. And they say, “The Fire will not touch us except for a number of days.” Say, “Have you received a promise from God-God never breaks His promise-or are you saying about God what you do not know?”
81. Indeed, whoever commits misdeeds, and becomes besieged by his iniquities-these are the inmates of the Fire, wherein they will dwell forever.
82. As for those who believe and do righteous deeds-these are the inhabitants of Paradise, wherein they will dwell forever.

If any information in the coran or in the Hadith is wrong then everything is wrong only doubt scroll down everything

The Fact that the hadiths need to be authenticated is proof that they are not convincing and thus cannot be the word of God. To uphold words other then the word of God is pure shirk..!
Some people create idols and treat them as God and worship them while some people create authenticated hadiths and treat them as the word of the Almighty God. Same old story of making partners with God. God forbid...???
"Additionally we have appointed for every prophet enemies from among the humans devils and jinn devils who invent and narrate to each other fancy words in order to deceive. Had your Lord willed they would not have done it. You shall disregard them and their inventions. (6:112)"

Sahar2 Sahar who said hadith are the words of God? I'm pretty sure most people take them as the words of the prophet (pbuh).
lebin Payne ..... to uphold words other then the word of God is pure syirk...! God forbid.
lebin Payne This person never said they were the words of God, they said people treat them as if they were, and it's true. You can see how a lot of muslims put the hadith above the Quran
@@sahar2sahar169 who said that the Saying of our prophet cannot be taken ? Which scholar in Islam said that ?
@@kaeyreYao .. The FACT that the hadeeth.... it does not need anybody to say that except God. Please read the Quran. Gods word has no doubt. The FACT is that people like Bukhari doubted the hadeeth. So the hadeeth cannot be the word of God. Read this link....www.revivers of truth.com
