I have an Australian car with the steering wheel on the right side In that case, could you share an Amazon link where I can purchase the parts? I need opposite side parts
@@lifeismoneyishappy It will be the same part the only difference is it will be in a different place on the car. Here is the part from the US amazon link. amzn.to/3ZqKnHl
Was able to fix it with the help of this video. Be warned the if you don't have a small enough and wide enough screw driver the screws are very stubborn and do not like to come out.
This video helped me out a lot. Had another issue I was looking at and came across this and happen to have this issue as well. Got it fixed it no time for less than 30 bucks. Thank you sir.
If you pull the carpet down that connects to the dash and remove the glove box it gives you much easier access to feel for the screw and use either a ratcheting right angle tool or nubby screwdriver with both hands in there. Going thru just the glove box is much more difficult.
Right on man…… Thank you for the video and I appreciate you trying to show as much as possible. The screw is a S.O.B to get too!but at least I know where to look for the screws.
What are Symptons of a bad actuator ? Mine is clicking and the AC takes a while to start up. I also noticed now it will have really strong air flow and after a few minutes it gets down to half the strength I’m not sure if they are all related. But the only symptom I got prior was the clicking noise so ima start there.
Do you need to initialize / calibrate the actuators wirh a scan tool after installation ? There was a note in the box of my new actuator that says these need to be calibrated / initialized after installation. ???
In my Patriot, this flap is stuck in the "air from the cabin" position. It doesn't move, doesn't click when you press the button. I removed the cabin filter to make sure it wasn't in the way. But it didn't help. How can I check if the actuator is broken? Maybe it's not getting power? Sorry, I use Google translator..
@@737mechanic Thanks to you, I have already removed this actuator. The pinion shaft broke. I decided to repair it with an M4 screw. I drilled through, inserted the screw and tightened it with a nut. It will be very reliable. Thank you! Without your video, this would not have been possible. Glory to Ukraine! We will win!
Mine makes the exact same clicking noise behind the glove box.. I'm wondering why even before you fixed it you can see the door moving even with the noise and after it moves the same without the noise. So what door wasn't working? My issue is that I have no heat at all. AC works though. The clicking sound happens every time I open and close the doors even without the key in. I will just randomly hear the noise a minute later after I go in or out of the vehicle.
The dodge chrysley dealer said theymdont chamge actuator only housinh! $470 are they crazy! Clicking on passenger side. How domi change the passenger side actuator?

What position does the recirculation door have to be in when you install the new actuator? Or does it matter?
@@sean7634 it doesn't matter as long as you can get it together, it will calibrate itself.
@@737mechanic thank you so much. Got it done and seems to be working perfectly!

Yes, some cars you can disconnect the battery and when you start the car it will do a calibration, but I am not sure if jeep is one of them.
Great job and video thanks for information.
Hello! Same sound comes in when I open the door and is it the same problem?
Yes
Hey my both sides are the same actuator correct 👍
yes

One thing you could do is swap it with one of the other actuators and see if that one starts working. All three actuators are the same.

Would this stop the heat from working as well?
Yes, the blend air door actuator controls the opening, closing, and mixing of the cold and hot air.
