Nah, I personally think Toshinori is doomed to die. Tragically, by the hand of AFO, probably in front of his students (if not of Deku, which would make it far worse). I think it's probable to have an ending "specular" to the United States of Smash scene, in which Toshinori takes the role of Nana in passing the torch to Izuku for the final blow that will take down AFO (and my tear glands) once for all.

Imo, reality is not held by a singular radiant figure, but many smaller ones. Even in the MHA world, I think All Might is only a stop gap measure from truly desperate times. Moving forward, society can't rely on a single person to shoulder their burdens. Not even on heroes to stop villains. But society needs to deal with the reasons why people become criminals in the first place.
